So Amazon is selling the echo dot for $10 USD along with the music unlimited service.... I ended up buying it...

Now you can also get a Google Home mini for $10 USD. I may just get this because of the low price and it comes with a month of Spotify premium.

I have no idea what I will be using these things for.

So I'm having issues figuring out what to do. I am going back to school since I just need to take 2 more classes for my AA. I could take one of those classes during the Winter (a 4 week class) but the issue is that I don't know when I might get another job and the holiday season is the most busy in retail.

I think I will take my computer science class in the Spring and the issue with that is that the class is in the morning, there is good and bad to that, good because that means more time to study since I will be on campus for a while instead of just going to class and then leaving right away.

The issue with that is that if I do end up getting the full time job (the staffing agency place) I doubt they would be okay with me taking 2 days off in order to go to school. If I'm still working at my current retail job the issue with that will be that I may actually end up working less? I would need Mondays and Wednesdays off for the class and work is usually from Monday to Friday so I would just work 3 days out of the week, the issue is that the days we work vary, so in the end I might just work 2 days out of the week and in a worse case scenario only 1 day of the week.

Before I dropped out I use to have two job, one of them was doing score keeping for an indoor hockey league. I don't live in the city were the college is at so I would have to drive 30 minutes to get there. The hockey place was about 5 min away from the school. So I would go to school and then after my last class I would leave to go to work and then go home.

During Fall 2017 I was going to school and doing the hockey thing and on days I didn't go to school I was delivering pizzas for my other job. I didn't manage that well and ended up failing some classes from what I recall.

If no major hidden expenses show up during the Spring I think I might manage somehow. And if I pass those classes than I guess I will be getting my AA before the Summer of next year!!!

I'm still not sure if I should take the online class during the 4 week winter period..... I might contact the instructor for that class and as him if his two online classes require the same online software (since a lot of classes now require for you to buy some $100-$200 USD license keys in order to use some website for homework and stuff. If it uses the same site and I don't need to fork over another $100USD then I will end up taking the class

Also one issue that I have with my current PC set up is that I have multiple speakers connected to it. I want to use the Logitech ones but they are too loud sometimes and I would like for a real easy way for my to switch the audio output device with the press of a keyboard bind type of thing. I could alt tab and switch that way but it's too much of a hassle and then to switch back after words

Browser games can be a lot of fun. I played a multiplayer FPS one another day that was pretty solid, all things considered. Good to see that these games are far from dead still.

Pathway is currently on sale.
The game recently received an extensive update based on user feedback, and reviews of the latest version are very positive:

Interesting. I read their latest patch notes and it does sound promising now.

I was hyped for the game pre-release, but the negative launch reviews and impressions pushed me away from it.

There was one shockwave game that I can still remember vividly from middle school because i remember the name Alien Hive(IRC)

it was okay
That Ian Bogost article enhanced/ruined my day so much

The pretentiousness of that article is too much and reading it was, in fact, work.

Why would you make an adventure without manual saves and using automatic saving with an unique state? I tried playing AR-K and in the first 30 minutes an item disappeared from my inventory. The last time I played an adventure game with this feature, Captain Morgane, I got stuck because I sequence broke it (too much exploring in an adventure game I guess) and I was 5 hours into the game.

Hey, why not buy this month bundle in advance ?

Buy bundle

We will charge your preferred fund source.
Oh, that reminds me, please wai...
My preferred fund source is over drafted and I will be fined 8 euros for this purchase.

Pondering going back to bed and if hitting my head against a wall several times would be a good thing to do before that.

Thank you, I was super down yesterday and this is the first thing I did today, oh how hilarity ensued.
That being said I must have some guardian angel watching over me, or some dirty devil thinking it wasn't annoying enough, and I had 12 euros on Paypal, so I think no fine after all.
Now I'm missing some cents from my Paypal account and I have no advance funds for Luigi's Mansion 3... BUT NO FINE :smiling-face-with-heart-shaped-eyes:

Edit - And I mean superrrr down. Turns out having no social life is not an healthy lifestyle, who would have thunk ?

Does this technically mean we can now own a piece of Steam? And by extension a piece of Valve?

... and by extension a piece of Gaben

I'm gonna use it to turn everything into anime
Congrats !

I'm writing you to announce that with this little sentence you made the transition from your local authorities to Interpol.

Yours truly,
Your friendly neighborhood cop.

Edit -
Let's see, is 17 minutes long enough to make another post without it being merged.
For SCIENCE !

I regret to inform you of today's old man screaming at clouds

"That’s the big problem with video games: To enjoy them, you have to play them.".

Are you for real? The whole article just goes in on the idea that playing videogames is such hard work and it's a chore to play one.

I just finished Disco Elysium. It's really really good.
Probably my GotY.
How long did it take you, and what kind of character in terms of stats did you play? I'm still around the hotel and kinda don't dare to make too much progress in case I miss something. Such an amazing game, especially at making me doubt any decision I was sure of just a second before.

Thinking about selling my switch. Because after realising that my computer isn't as bad at playing games as I thought and since I also now have an own place it feels like I don't really need the switch anymore. And could use the money.

What price so you think the new switch (not lite) and with breath of the wild, Minecraft and dragon quest xi would be worth? Only been used two months.

Also what would be the best way to sell it in France and Paris specifically?

Checking the Swedish prices and use them for reference. I think you can get at least 500 euro for everything

It took me ~28 hours. At character creation I focused mostly on Intellect and a bit of Psyche, but I'm pretty sure I put most points into Motorics skills during the game.
Having just 1 point in Physique was only really an issue extremely early on when you don't have ample healing items.

I loved having the thought which gives you XP for each orb you click. Not that I wouldn't click them all anyways :P

One thing that was a bit silly but also really fun to imagine is what actually happens in-universe when "optimizing" your equipment for a particular check.. I can just imagine the detective, in a conversation, going "hold on", putting on a diffferent shirt, boots and glasses, and then continuing where the conversation stopped,

PC-tan I've had an Echo Dot in the kitchen for years now. It's connected to the old, shonky mini-stereo via a cable so we can bluetooth our phones to the speakers when cooking etc. Very handy. It's also useful for random questions and setting reminders so for $10 it's a decent toy to play with and you get some free streaming music too.

I have a Google Home Mini from when i bought my phone two years ago but i've never used it as they had the problem with the top buttons activating because they were too sensitive so they disabled them. I don't know if Google have resolved that yet though.

Have a look at these for Sound Switching on Windows 10, they may help.

Audio Switch - sirWest/AudioSwitch
Sound Switch - uses CTRL + ALT + F11 as Hotkey - SoundSwitch: Control your audio output

You could also try this Powershell Module tied to a macro. I haven't played with it myself but i might later on.

Come on, you buy too many games.

Especially PC games, because you could wait for sales!

Do I buy too many games ? Yes. Yes. Evidently yes.
I try to do good, I try. But incomes are very low, and charges, those augment, slowly but steadily. My monthly entertainment budget, given my situation, should be 0 euros.
Uh, I get the feeling I will go into a long winded rambling and that will not really answer anything, so eh...

I have no social life, this is killing me. I eat shit, because food is expensive. I sweat bullets each week at the supermarket, and at the end of the day the products aren't even good. Oh god, the state of meat these days, I'm nearly tempted to go vegetarian because of the shit they sell at the price they dare asking. But I would at least like to entertain myself :confounded-face:
This is depressing because it's not the answer, I realize that.

Well in any case, Luigi is a Nintendo product, pretty sure it will remain at 45+ until the heat death of the universe.

The Atlantic is usually a pretty high quality news source but they sometimes publish this sort of opinion pieces (on any subject) that are absolutely idiotic, misinformed and stereotypical. I used to be subscribed to The Atlantic but cancelled recently because of this sort of articles (I cancelled due to a moronic take on immigration policies). I pay for news because I expect to avoid this sort of 'clickbaity' stuff.

It's odd, Ian Bogost has written some great stuff but i find myself disagreeing with him more and more over the last few years.
To be honest most of his output is very academic aimed so i can see where he's coming from but articles in popular press does make him seem a little out of place.

I had heard that as good as it is Goose Game is a bit of a chore to play though so he's not that wrong i suppose.

Hell yeah! How can we get Yoko Taro on board too?
My ideal mad creative dev team would be SWERY69, Suda51 and Yoko Taro working on a game together.

Control (PS4 ver) was worth the wait for me. (borrowed from lib) Moment to moment gameplay is better than Alan wake and I'm starting to get more and more excited about the setting and story the deeper I go into the oldest house. I'm at level 4ish/5ish, and tonight will be my fourth day in a row of playing it as soon as I get a free hour or two tonight (after adult handling of shit lol, sight to be a kid again).

And the outer worlds knocking it out of the park? Please my gaming boner can only become so erect.
