This is the absolute truth, especially if you have kids too. Little time-vampires.

TFW no other hobbies so I have like 3+ hours to play a day while still doing all my important shit.Man, when you're an adult gamer time is a relentless foe, especially if you're into RPGs. Finding time in the day for gaming is like trying to fit a square into a round hole.
But I would at least like to entertain myself
This is depressing because it's not the answer, I realize that.
Well in any case, Luigi is a Nintendo product, pretty sure it will remain at 45+ until the heat death of the universe.
I wanted to dislike this article, but I really couldn't, and I'm a bit surprised by the negative reactions to it. He's not saying GAMES BAD or anything, and the point that games can feel like "work" is so relatable. I think about the open world games trend and how yet another unimaginative open world fetch quest/item collection chore list became such a groaner. Games have such huge potential for unique and transformative experiences, simply because we have to interact with them and the possibilities are literally endless. But there seem to be such few really good ideas or immersive designs that I often do feel like I'm doing chores instead of getting into that awesome flow state. It's why I'm so picky about how I spend what little gaming time I have. It's odd, Ian Bogost has written some great stuff but i find myself disagreeing with him more and more over the last few years.
To be honest most of his output is very academic aimed so i can see where he's coming from but articles in popular press does make him seem a little out of place.
I had heard that as good as it is Goose Game is a bit of a chore to play though so he's not that wrong i suppose.
No discount but looks like my kinda game, blindbuy.

You can gift games now?
I have a baby and I can still play 2-3 hours a day. I guess I'm lucky.Man, when you're an adult gamer time is a relentless foe, especially if you're into RPGs. Finding time in the day for gaming is like trying to fit a square into a round hole.

Truly the game that keeps on giving.
You mean, keeps on taking.Truly the game that keeps on giving.
It's the publisher's wet-dream for the future, better get used to it. More and more of these GAAS nuggets will go for it.
Super-Mutie Whales only please.

They plan to, uh, make us pay for private servers ?
It was delayed a few days ago actually. They ever release that supposed "NPC expansion" or whatever they called it?

It doesn't bode well for the official "Fallout 5" whenever that gets released...
I HIGHLY doubt that FFVIIR and Cyberpunk are going to be released in those dates. I am slightly sceptical about TLOU2 as well. If those are delayed you problems will be solvedTo follow up on that no time for gaming issue, here are the release dates for my most anticipated games of next year:
TLOU2 - February 21st
FFVIIR - March 3rd
Persona 5 Royal - March
Cyberpunk - April 16th
I mean, seriously?!
Yeah, that's what I expect tbh. When my son get older, I probably only have a time for games in late evening after he's asleep. Me and my wife have made up our minds that we won't introduce games to him until he's old enough. That's why I'm trying to enjoy it while it still last. It's actually easier when they're babies because they spend most of the time sleeping. It's after that that they start taking up more and more time. Now let me preface this by saying that I'm not complaining, my son is the reason I get out of bed.
As they get older not only do they demand your undivided attention during every waking hour because they want to play with you but there's homework, soccer practice, birthday parties, meetings at school, sunday school and whatever other activities they're engaged in.
This weekend my son has a soccer match on saturday morning, a birthday party in the afternoon, sunday school on sunday morning and I have to take him to a friend's house on sunday afternoon (which is in another town).

So usually I can't even afford one game at full price but I'm already saving money to see if I can somehow afford 2 of these suckers. I'd like to get Cyberpunk on PC but there's no way my rig can handle it so I'll scratch it for now. My brother says he will buy FFVII and since he has way more time to play than I do he'll be done with it in a couple of weeks so I can borrow it. I'll get TLOU2 and P5R, maybe I'll even finish the former before the latter is released, assuming it hits toward the end of the month (Atlus will want to stay clear of FFVII right?).
I've been toiling away at Trails from Zero and DoS for several months now, I hope I can beat them in November. Also started The Surge 2 recently since I won it in a giveaway. After that I want to play Mutant Year Zero and Trails of Azure but there's no way I'll be done with those by february.
This weekend I actually had an unusual amount of time to play. In the end I realized that this incredible amount of time I was blessed with was hardly enough to even make a dent in these games, they are so damn big. Fucking hell, no wonder I need 6 month to beat some these monstrosities like The Witcher 3, DOS2 and Persona 5.
I am so grateful for Turbo modes or being able to speed games up with cheat engine, it's such a godsend. When I played Berseria I shaved off at least 10 hours by increasing the running speed (the default is so slow). Now imagine how much time you save in a Trails game where you're also speeding up the battles which represent a huge chunk of the game. And the game even becomes more enjoyable in the process because in the old games (Sky and Crossbell) the animations are painfully slow by default. This is incredibly valuable time which is saved while still getting the ful experience.
Another example is Zodiac Age, since fights happen on the field with no transitions the game is incredibly fast on 4x times speed, it's amazing.
I grew up skipping high school to stay home and play Fallout 1 and 2 (and Planescape Torment and Deus Ex but it's not relevant here)
But they can release a Fallout 5, I won't touch it with a stick and a hazmat suit. Fallout 3, 4 and 76 were so shitty, now I only cry when I remember what it was and how much it hurts to hear people waiting for a new Bethesda version of this once magical title.
Fallout NV was good though, but hey, it was not Bethesda.
The best part is paying for unlimited storage space. They plan to, uh, make us pay for private servers ?

Epistory was a terrible game, style over substance. The perfect example of an eye catching game with a hollow inside.
I really enjoyed Epistory, nice.
Damn that's a nice one. Gonna put on those nostalgia goggles and get it for Asterix and Obelix.

Yeah, all that.
Disco Elysium walk speed was a bit of a bummer in tha last part of the game, but really, the maps are tiny and there's interesting stuff to read everywhere so it's not even remotely comparable in how bad it is compared to some JRPGs without fast movement options.
At least TERA had an excuse for having a subscription option. This is just baffling. I'll stick to Guild Wars 2.
I'm one of those diseased fools that loved the shit out of Fallout NV and Fallout 3/4 (I have played a good amount of Fallout 1/2 just never completed them). The beth fallout peeps don't get me and the oldschool fallout peeps despise my kind.
What I don't want is the online stuuf.
When are modders going to make "Untitled Groose Game"? When?
