Gather items or craft your own, explore old and new locations, solve puzzles and challenges, and defend yourself against dozens of different enemies, alone, or with the help of your friends, in the new Multiplayer mode.

The Surrealist Artist Ardois-Bonnot presented his painting called Dream Landscape in the Paris Spring Salon of 1926. The moment the painting was uncovered, it caused a sudden riot among the public, and people screamed and ran all over the place. Soon after the exhibition, Ardois-Bonnot fell into a strange deep sleep from which no one could wake him up. Rumors abound that shortly before this attack of ‘sleeping sickness’, he was at the verge of completion of his greatest masterpiece which would change the world.

This time, you will have access to 6 different playable characters, old and new, each one with a different playstyle. The Detective, the Witch, and the Professor from the first part, which continue their fight against the Great Old Ones, and the Medium, the Veteran, and the Alienist who join the group of adventurers.

One of the new elements that we are including in Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 is the possibility of crafting your own equipment. Find blueprints and resources to create and improve new items (clothes, weapons and consumables), and see how every item changes the appearance of your character.

Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 goes beyond and introduces a new cooperative multiplayer mode where up to 4 players can fight their way on dozens of levels full of action. Create a balanced group of characters to help each other. Just be careful of friendly fire in this world!

FATAL FRAME: Maiden of Black Water

FATAL FRAME: Maiden of Black Water comes to Steam for the first time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the horror-adventure series.

Mt. Hikami was once revered as a spiritual place. It housed a unique religion based on beliefs and customs of worshipping water as a deity and is said to have been a site of many gruesome incidents and mysterious phenomena. This mysterious and intertwined story follows three protagonists—Yuri Kozukata, Miu Hinasaki, and Ren Hojo—as each of them explores the ominous Mt. Hikami, a place where many came to die, and the secrets it hides.

Players use Camera Obscura, a special camera capable of repelling vengeful ghosts and sealing away their powers, to explore Mt. Hikami and the numerous incidents that took place there in the past. The story is divided into separate missions, and each mission is led by a new protagonist. The protagonists have a power called Shadow Reading, which allows them to sense the remnants of memories of people who have disappeared on the mountain. These memories lead the players deeper on secret mountain paths, but what awaits there are malicious spirits that want you to join them in the world of the dead. The only way to fight the spirits off is to capture them with the Camera Obscura. After a spirit is defeated, you can also use the Glance ability to see the final moments of their life. In addition to sealing the evil spirits that attack you, Camera Obscura can be used to reveal other things that can't be seen with the human eye and will help in the recovery of lost items. By using the camera and the various abilities, you will be able to unravel the mysteries of the sacred mountain.

Great to get another amazing OP, by you lash. I was worried someone else was going to step up and take over, and while it could still be great, it just wouldn't have been the same

Thank you lashman for that new thread smell!

The plethora of games released today actually interest me more than most of what's coming in October, not sure if that's good or bad. The monthly challenge being Deathloop is not going to help me waiting for a good sale either.

God, I hope that Bluepoint remake isn't Bloodborne. It's a PS4 game for fuck's sake, just remaster the damn thing! It doesn't need anything more than a bump in resolution and fixing the framepacing. Demon's Souls was an early PS3 game and a pretty shitty looking one at that. I can understand the need there. But remaking Bloodborne would be the most pointless waste of time and resources.

I'd love to say that this is just common sense and that Sony wouldn't be stupid enough to greenlight such a pointless project. But I recently remembered that apparently Last of Us 1 is getting a remake so what the hell do I know? :confused-face:
----------------

On a more positive note, glad to see you pop in lashman ! Even if it's just to drop the Steam thread. Hope you're doing okay, man.

Also quoting myself from the previous thread just in case someone has an answer to this burning hot question of mine
I see that a lot of the Tales of games are on sale right now. I was thinking of grabbing a few. Any of them are NOT worth playing? For reference, I have only ever finished Symphonia (on the Gamecube like 15 years ago lol), which I remember liking quite a lot.

First day of XCloud availability here... was curious to see how it works but it appears to be a little bit overloaded at the moment: "long queue times". Nothing like having to wait to play a single player game :p

I was able to boot Psychonauts 2 a few hours ago but let's just say I wasn't that impressed with the video quality on text and high-contrast:
(local vs XCloud)

It will probably get better, but I don't really have interest in cloud gaming anyway.

Well..... actually I am thinking about using it to check out Halo 5, but me playing a FPS with a controller is going to be... complicated.

Tales of Zestiria is almost universally disliked by Tales fans, but it kinda connects to Berseria so.
never understood the hate boner against that game. yeah, it's kinda mediocre at times, but I really don't see any steep decline compared to the Xillia games that came before it. It introduced an interesting seamless combat system that didn't end up working perfectly, but I think it could have been saved by some clever technical trickery. Going back to combat maps felt like a step back imo.

Of course Berseria is the superior game, especially due its characters and plot, but I liked Zestiria on its own too.

I also think it's fine. But it is def on the lower end of Tales games.
