lashman, please put me as having completed this month's goal.
I played, and completed, a totally hardcore game:
I can't believe I spent 16 hours playing, and 100%, a clicker/time management game, based on... The Love Boat.
But. I would be lying if I said I didn't have some fun. The game managed to successfully adapt the format of an episode of the series, into this genre of game. The story could have been lifted from an episode of the series. Not that the series was complex in any way, but at least the writers of the game clearly put some effort into it, which I wasn't expecting.
It's a decent, and surprisingly long, "mindless" game.
There's a sequel to it, and next time it's on sale, I'll be sure to pick it up.
Colour me surprised.
---
I have hundreds of "time management", and "hidden object" games in my library (mostly from bundles), but I never actually played through any of them.
Since I was in the mood for something simple, I decided to try a game from each genre, to see what's the appeal, since a lot of people play them.
The Love Boat was my first time management game. Now, I'll be giving a hidden object game a try.
It's nice to try different things occasionally.
