I cant stop listening to Megadeth, holy cow

Theres this interview w Dave talking about Kirk Hammet where hes like "yea I guess he did alright with what talent he has" such smoke, I hadn't laughed that hard in a while. Dave is that dude, heard he had throat cancer, hope he recovers soon

I'm so obsessed with Beck's latest single. Can't wait for his upcoming album Hyperspace.

Speaking of which he lends a hand with B&B's latest for their upcoming Van Halen cover album. Not typically big on covers but man that jazz solo at 2:50 smokes.

Internet went out when I got home from work couple days ago so I spent the time listening to music and browsing upcoming concerts on my phone. I discovered these guys in the process and will definitely see them live now :D

Yuzukingdom
"Jail"
Melodic Death Metal
Latest Yuzukingdom. It's a very good album and Yuzuki is a treasure.

Aether
"Insomnia"
Symphonic Melodic Death Metal
I ran across these guys recently and really like their sound. Very melodious melodeath. If you like Insomnium, Skyfire, or Omnium Gatherum, you might like them.

Dual Alter World
"chaos effect"
Metal / Electronic
Ryu from Blood Stain Child has been incredibly busy. I just found out about a side project with voice actress Kotori Koiwai. I like it and will definitely need to grab the album when it drops it September. Some Ryu's best guitarwork so far.

Fuki
"Bloody Rain"
Symphonic Power / Heavy Metal
Fuki is my favorite vocalist of all time.

DESURABBITS
"Magic of Butterfly -seicho-"
Death Pop / Jpop / Jrock
Seeing this group grow up and evolve (they've been at this since they were 12-13 years old) has been kinda heartwarming. They've always been weird (see: darth vader looking growler/dj), so seeing them take a more dramatic sound has been touching.

Life Awaits
"Better Now"
Metalcore
I've been digging in a little more to metal coming out of China, so this group popped up. They're pretty good.

Broken By The Scream
"Message" (Live)
Jpop / Death Metal
BBTS is my spirit animal. Whenever I show this group to people, I link the live videos to show they're not faking it.

This is gonna sound dumb, is Norma Jean Metalcore like old Avenged Sevenfold or a little bit more like my beloved departed Dillinger Escape Plan?
Norma Jean are more metalcore. I know the genre gets trashed on but they're one of the best bands out there at the moment in my opinion. Wrongdoers and Polar Similar were super good and their new album is kind of highly anticipated, for me anyway.

If you're a fan of Dillinger you should check out Car Bomb.

They just released this song a few weeks ago.

Car bomb sounds like a mix of DEP and Gojira (sheer heaviness)... which is good. I like both bands.

Hell, I love Avenged Sevenfold too.

Really, I only pass on country music and soft music. Country is extremely hard pass.

(oh, by the way - you can connect your steam account to your account here if you want to :) just go to https://metacouncil.com/account/connected-accounts/ - you can do it there :D)

Yes! City of Evil, The Stage and Nightmare are my favs. I think Matt Shadows is almost back to rejoining the band or already did, probably new album last year. (I'll look into it at!)

ooooh, awesome! can't wait ... gonna be good!

This post was too good to waste in the EGS thread so have some of my nostalgia here instead...

24 years later and i still remember stomping round in my Mech to this OST. Probably my favourite MW box-art too.
Timothy Seals' 2013 Remake is worth a listen too, it's damned good. I'm sure i've posted this with Tomb Raider tunes before but i don't care. For all it's simplicity, it's still awesome and for me helped make the game what it is.

Sorry, echo! I'll post some piano tracks tomorrow.

As a spotty youth I used to spend ages listening to Somewhere in Time and looking at the detail on the album cover. Good times.
