Shadow of the Tomb Raider 4K (all taken from gameplay, not a cutscene)
i don't think it's even possible to take a bad-looking screenshot in that game, lolYes, it is
Oh, believe me, it's possible in any game, even the best looking games have some graphics and rendering flaws. I'm just not interested in that, I want to show the games I enjoy from the best side, not the other way around.i don't think it's even possible to take a bad-looking screenshot in that game, lol
well you're doing an amazing job so far, man! hats off, for realOh, believe me, it's possible in any game, even the best looking games have some graphics and rendering flaws. I'm just not interested in that, I want to show the games I enjoy from the best side, not the other way around.
holy smokes!!! that looks amazing ... especially the last one! wowAC Odyssey - 4K - ReShade (Custom)
It's really pretty at times. Unfortunately there are also times where IQ is mired by that increasingly common open-world fog. That same fog people complain about in say Horizon: Zero Dawn, AC Odyssey has it too when you are on land and looking in the distance...holy smokes!!! that looks amazing ... especially the last one! wow
it's supposed to be realistic, no? that's what i always thoughtIt's really pretty at times. Unfortunately there are also times where IQ is mired by that increasingly common open-world fog. i set everything to extreme for screenshots runs at like 5fps for me then hahaLooks fantastic considering you're on 750ti.
well, the ones you shared so far are REALLY good ... so you definitely have talent! keep going!ME1 Character models still look good even today. Not great, but definitely passable. I keep wishing we'd get a trilogy remaster.
I have a hard time taking screenshots, framing them mostly. I dunno if it's a lack of confidence or just a lack of experience. I tried to take a bunch during my playthrough of Shadow of Tomb Raider but I ended up tossing them all because I just felt like I was never framing them right. With AC Odyssey I'm trying, really trying, but I guess I never realized how much time and effort it takes to get a good shot.
... I suppose that's why real Photographers take 100's of photos of the same thing and then pick a best one to display lol.
Anyway I hope I can share more screens in the future and hopefully I get better with practice.
I probably should have mentioned that I've installed better textures mode for ME1 (MEUITM), geometry and animations look fine for its age but some original textures were too blurry so I gave up and installed this mode.ME1 Character models still look good even today. it might be using modded textures ... but DAMN, does it still look awesome! great job as always!I probably should have mentioned that I've installed better textures mode for ME1 (MEUITM), geometry and animations look fine for its age but some original textures were too blurry so I gave up and installed this mode.
And I'm not a real photographer, but that's how I'm doing things with my screens, usually I take like 50-100 photos after each gaming session but deleting 95% of them and uploading only those that I thought worth showing. I take some time to sort them out and sometimes it can be frustrating to choose from 10 screenshots with a very slight difference in angles and colors, but most of the time I have fun with that process. It's all about fun, if you like to spend time toying with photomodes then keep practicing and eventually all be great.
Ansel DOFis that the in-game DOF or a custom one?
ahhh, makes sense ... looks waaaay too good to be in-gameAnsel DOF
In-game DOF is fine tooahhh, makes sense ... looks waaaay too good to be in-game
and giga-resolution best thing ever!In-game DOF is fine too
It's also easier to change focus distance with built-in photomode (still trying to figure out how to change it in Ansel without a hassle), but I'm mostly using Ansel now because it offers advanced color and lighting settings and filters.
I just think that's not necessary because we don't have many posters, having a thread everyone can participate in would be betterAnteater ... or we can do a Console Screenshots thread maybe?
why include pc at that pointhow about just the "cool video/PC game screenshots" thread?
and what when we get more people posting? split all posts into 2 threads or something?I just think that's not necessary because we don't have many posters, having a thread everyone can participate in would be better
not if they're compressed like a motherfucker it can be REALLY annoyingwhy is uncompressed so important? I get quality concerns, but it isnt it more about fancy, artsy or cool pics?
yeah we can split them when more posts actually become a problem, the only thing that distinguish console and pc screenshots is literally nothing but image quality and the lack of a way to disable UIand what when we get more people posting? split all posts into 2 threads or something?
i don't know ... i'd rather have a separate console screenshots thread ... especially since not all consoles even can do uncompressed screenshots (or a lot of people don't know how to do those)
Naming: Always include the name of the game with the screenshots. Not everyone is a game encyclopedia.
