Hmm, the first serious VR hero shooter effort maybe. Nice proper animations for characters instead of only awkward IK it seems. Hope that's representative of it.

Grabbed Vader Immortal for PSVR.

Despite having a quest, even with a new Headstrap it's just not as comfortable as the PSVR.
I think I need to look into a headstrap that has that forehead pad.

Today's HTC Vive stream starts in 30, only posting this early so you sign up & enter their contest where you can win one of their next level VR kits to be shown.
Nothing for consumers given the pricing and 90% of the keynote spent on all the business VR stuff and disappointing to see for PC they stick with the wands...

I just found a VR mod for Subnautica Sub Zero and WOW! These games are amazing in VR. The scale and immersion is unbelievable.

There is a VR mod for RDR2. That game could be glorious in VR.

Horse riding feels like it could be a big trigger for motion sickness though.

I love that SteamVR added an option to change world scale in any game, and then did a second update to make it able to go to completely ridiculous extremes. I can be tiny!

GTFO VR is among the best such mods like Outer Wilds VR and Quake VR, yet the moderators are deleting discussion of it on the game's Steam forums :suicide-blob:

Hm, now that I've upgraded my PC, my next "upgrade" is probably VR. (Though not in the immediate future, I'm more thinking of end of the year/beginning of next year).

What are the current suggestions for that? (And is there maybe something new coming up in the near future that would justify some extra waiting?)

The Quest 2 is probably the best price/value buy right now, but it's not an option I'm willing to consider.

I guess currently I would gravitate towards an Index, but I've read something about maybe a new Index version being in the works (possibly wireless?), is there anything concrete about this or is it more or less just unfounded rumors for now?
The HP Reverb G2 seems interesting as well, with no need for a base station, but I'd probably prefer the Index controllers and then you'd need base stations anyway.

That's basically it still, Quest 2 or Index. Might get new VR kits from Valve, Samsung & others but nothing concrete yet even thnough the latter had patents etc.
Edit: oh, the DecaGear is upcoming but we don't really know when exactly, the guys did at least appear legit with the release of the DecaMove thingie & app...

There was much more #pitchyagame stuff posted today by VR projects but I don't think any showed actually new stuff (or stuff I've not posted of in a while)...

So from these PSVR updates I believe confirmed for PC are: Wanderer, After the Fall & Sniper Elite...

We'll see about the rest, it's kinda silly to have Sony first parties see the PC light but third parties not. Puzzle Bobble 3D at least is already on the Quest however.

Guys, I bought the Oculus Quest 2 + link cable down in February and was so mind-blowing with Alyx and other games (now I have also on Steam Vox Machine, Blade & Sorcery and soon also Boneworks), but I was also o stupid: my gtx 1060 can't handle all games and sometimes I'm so "depressed" about this, because it's so a fucking incredible technology and here in Italy NO ONE TALKS ABOUT. Anyway, many thanks Alextended, I've discovered your topic right now and I have just put 5 games on my wishlist

Yup, and that's before it even goes on Early Access + another year + of dev after that. Crazy. Probably the best dungeon crawler right now and it's a free beta.
