Yeah, some of the later episodes are messy but I enjoyed the show. Hopefully they can make a season 2.man so hope spider isekai gets season two

ok anime chums, is this a good buy for the complete Akira manga collection?
I'm wary that
1) it seems quite cheap, too good to be true?
2) the volumes are of different publishers, would I be potentially missing anything?
3) volume 1 is in colour, I have no colour manga, isn't B&W better?

I'm wary that

Probably. The covers only tell you half the story. These books are quite thick (with two c) and if they're old, the bindings will unravel sooner than later.
The Dark Horse releases' reading order is left to right with panel ordering flipped. I don't own the older Kodansha releases, but it is inferior in terms of printing/paper material compared to both the Dark Horse editions and the 35th anniversary edition.
The Dark Horse/Kodansha's 35th anniversary edition has leading colour pages in each volume, the rest is in B/W. I've heard that the older releases has entire volumes colourised with Otomo's approval, but I've never seen it myself other than screenshots on the web.
Frankly, I recommend getting a hold of the 35th anniversary edition instead. It's practically the definitive edition of the manga. They sometime goes out of stock, but should be easy enough to find on Amazon or Book Depository.

That's almost $350 AUD. Yeah, that's too much for sure. The first edition was about $200 AUD when it was released in 2017, so if you can find one for 100 quid or less, definitely grab it.
been catching up to some stuff , but Tokzo Revnegers is quite a blast , despite me not being fan of the delinquen theme
One of the best arcs ever. Not very shonen-y but damn good... Though I still find the one before that so good that it feels timeless.

Watching Granbelm and Blue Reflection Ray. Going to start Back Arrow and Dynazenon afterwards.

Baccano! is amazing, I recommend you don't try to understand anything and just keep watching, it will click.
And when you finish go back and rewatch episode 1

Every time someone posted KonoSuba, Chiisana Boukensha starts playing in my head.
Watching a few episodes of current season anime during the day, because of the lockdown.
Tantei wa mou, Shindeiru. (The Detective is Already Dead) -- Going into this thinking there will be some light whodunit, but instead, I got a high-school-age detective and "shadow organisation with android", because, you know, it's anime~!
Shiroi Suna no Aquatope (White Sand Aquatope) -- P.A. Works sure knows how to make pretty anime. Okinawa looks great in this anime, and the supernatural hook seems interesting enough. I'll definitely keep watching this one.

I am impressed at the skill but it's really messy and it's not often that I say that :/.seems like i need to catchup on Madoka Record
Also, the .gif compression didn't do it any justice either.
oh yeah twitter compression is a mess, looks pretty amazing in the actual show

As we are talking about messy animations, I would like to make a confession: I am never a fan of utotable's work on Tales of opening. Some of the action sequences happen so fast that it is very difficult to make out what is happening on screen. They look smooth but you really can't feel the impact of those hits.
Examples:

i would say there is quite the difference between "messy animation" (as in Ex-Arm or Berserk 2016) and "fast smooth animation"
They are so smooth they look messy on screen. I much prefer action sequences that are slow and impactful like One Punch Man S1 or old stuff like Ninja Scroll or Vampire Hunter D.
But that's my opinion. I always have hot takes toward anime.
just matter of preference sure .... i can undestand people not liking them or feeling dizzy of them ,what i am just saying that you just cant compare "messy feel" of stellar animation to the actual messes like the two i mentioned you monster

Arrr I can't agree that OPM S1 animation is superquick. Overanimated maybe, but not superquick. Fast smooth is yutapon's stuff. The twitter one had a lot of high-frequency detail fluttering and blinking in/out that didn't really add anything to the animation or the readability of motion in my humble, uneducated, peanut-gallery opinion.
Ah, Yutaka Nakamura, an absolutely amazing animator that has produced work that to me was a good example of something both smooth and readable since those attributes were part of the discussion.
Yeah, sorry about that, it was way too slang-y. But yeah, Yutaka Nakamura is one of the most famous, most amazing animator of our time.
