What was the thing that you needed to install to get a DS4 to run on PC? Used to playing with an old wired 360 controller so I have no fucking idea of what I'm doing with this.
Just make sure of the following if you still have issues
1- Install and update PS4 Remote Play
2- Update all Microsoft Store apps
3- Worse case scenario, Update Windows 10

I've been using DS4 wired and wireless without issues following those steps.

I really didn't like Grim Dawn at release, and the first 2? expansions that I followed the release of didn't change anything meaningful to me. Is there a respec system yet that isn't super punishing? Is there a way to make a new class / character without having to just grind through the campaign again yet? Do builds still heavily favor dumping points into passive stats?

Do you have the official adapter?

The respec system is not all that punishing. Just from playing through game, you get more than enough resources to mix your build around.

Don't really know the answer to this one.

I've had builds where I left click one ability, and others where I push around 8 buttons. YMMV on what you're trying to achieve.

Since the game is offline, it's also totally moddable and editable to your whim. I've created max characters from scratch to test things out. So if you are low on respec materials, or want to skip a lot of the early game - you can do that.

The overly expensive controller aka elite 2 released today. Is anyone getting it?
Having only bought an xbone controller like 6 months ago, I see no reason to get an elite 2, as the improvements wont be worth the money

Ah sorry. i just use bluetooth. Hold Option+PS button until it starts pairing then your PC will recognize it. Just so long as you follow the 3 steps I had mentioned.
You can use a cheap usb bluetooth adapter. That's what I use, works great, no lag or dropouts. Just pair it up and after that you can enable ds4 support in steam.
Thanks! I’ll order one. The cable doesnt get in the way too much but its 2019! No cables!

If you're in the market for a DS4, just be warned. There are lots fake ones out there nowadays. The legit DS4 costs $60, or at least $40 with regular discounts. The fake ones may cost 1/3 of that.

I meant a cheap bluetooth adapter. I just bought a Rose Gold DS4 from a national retailer so no problem there.
But I also want the Electric Purple one because its beautiful x.x maybe next paycheck.

Getting the hang of The Witcher 3 again. Using more signs beside Quen and a respec made it more enjoyable again. While it ain't exactly tight it’s also better than people make it out to be.

Playing The Heart of Stone expansion and while there are some good bits so far I am a bit disappointed. The sidequests so far were lame and uninspired. The main story is good and the wedding ceremony was neat. O'Dimm is a fun character.

I think what is mostly working against it for me is still having Disco Elysium on my mind and now having read all of The Witcher novels. While the writing is still solid, Heart of Stone so far at least doesn’t live up to that. It also feels like often the dialogue choices are not something book Geralt would say.

I also hope that for the next Witcher game CDPR drastically reduces the scope of the gameworld. While the world is still beautiful and I love seeing the scenery there is a lot of mundane work like the abandoned sites that don’t really add anything. Just your bog-standard open-world-bloat.

Still one of my favorite games, still excited for Cyberpunk though Heart of Stone so far probably won’t be a CDPR highpoint for me. But there are still two more wishes to go.

Thanks. I played it when it was released (I enjoyed TQ2 enough), so there weren't really any modding / editing resources available I don't think, and I wanted to play it straight first anyway. I know my build went from "kinda fun and interesting" to "incredibly boring stat dump" about halfway through the campaign and looking at builds people had early on they all looked really heavy on the passive builds.

If I can easily just give myself infinite respec stuff so I can have a few different core characters I might buy back in with the expansions during the next sale, at least when that update hits.

The DS3 market is even worse. At this point I'll grab a used from the evil gamestop for a $30 before even attempting an online purchase.

First party controllers, generally, have the best build quality. (Logitech makes quality stuff. I have their F310 and Flight stick. No officially supported on consoles)

I know I know I have no evidence but I notice a lack of FPS games, it makes we wonder if Gamespot just doesn't like FPS games. Also they have a THPS3 a 10/10? I like THPS4 better. Also they gave MGSV a 10/10 really? I mean it's a good game but it is by no means great. It has flaws and those can't be overlooked. Have you seen how barren it's world is.

Got mail from EA about free month and indeed, next billing will be in December.

Somewhat tempting, never got around to buying the old one since I read it had a few issues, but at the end of the day mouse > gamepad so if I'll get an overpriced accessory this winter it'll be the similarly priced new Razer Viper Ultimate. Gonna wait and see if there'll be solid discounts, no reason to buy so shortly before sales season.

Looks so much like Opus Magnum, which is my favorite Zachtronics game. Is the gameplay really different at all?
I've only played the first few puzzles but yeah, it's basically a TIS-100 style low-fi take on Opus Magnum, with a little dash of SpaceChem thrown in. There's some small differences to the way it works but if you liked Opus Magnum then it's probably a safe bet you'll like this one too.

So how long until Ubisoft says that they will continue to sell their games on Steam again?
Beginning of their next fiscal year, depending on their fiscal calendar.
Unless sales jump dramatically and stay that way. Also i wouldnt expect much hype, i think Ubi is going to lowkey any such announcement so they can reduce the egg on their faces.

Of course i could be wrong and there will be a huge AC:<the next game> banner on Steam like EA did with Jedi

As soon as March 2020 we will know if they return or not.

I tried Ni No Kuni 2 on a 50 inch TV screen via Steam Link app. It was wonderful to sit on a couch and play a game. It was a long time ago I was playing like that :)
A big problem is that the text is so small, barely readable. How are console players able to read such small text? Do they sit close the TV?

Tried out State of Decay 2 and it felt great to be in a open world zombie game again! I like that it is so much about the systems, but I didn't like that it's so much about systems that one has to switch between characters so they get rest. I would much rather just play one character and have the ability to sleep.

Yeah this did the trick, I turned on the PS4 settings and now it recognizes fine and I can even turn off the goddamn light! just another launcher btw

Thanks for the answers, everyone.
you're welcome :) glad it worked!

My thoughts exactly. I've enjoyed Grim Dawn more than any Diablo game.
glad i'm not the only one then :D

So Disco Elysium is Metacouncil's Game Of The Year, right?
we'll find out after the vote :p i think Wok will be doing the voting stuff this time around as well ...

Probably when they announce the next mainline AC.
not sure about that ... Tim's REALLY gonna want this one ...

We passed the 100 000 posts milestone on Metacouncil yesterday, did I miss the celebrations ? :photoblobheart:
we did? damn, nice! :D

It was a rough start, but I'm enjoying Resident Evil 6 quit a bit now. Despite many design flaws (invisible walls during boss fights etc), the set pieces are amazing!
Jawmuncher will be happy ;)
