I still remember playing Halo 2 on Vista with a few school friends, after that, controller was the only way to enjoy this saga but now, glorious M+KB is the way to go!

Not really comparable, sadly. They are kinda the thing that moved FPS away from the good old classics in a way (though Halo mp was still considered arena shooter, I believe).

I only had a pirated copy of Halo: Combat Evolved but I did play it a lot. I particularly remember the pistol being very powerful.

I hope the release schedule will be quicker after reach, I'm most interested in Halo 1 (have it on xbox but only finished the modded PC port), Halo 3 (finished it once on 360 but the console is dead), and ODST (never played it), I tried 2 on PC but couldn't get into it, I hated the level designs from what I've played but maybe I just didn't get to the good part.

Hi! We’re still working to improve this down the road, but for now you will have an option when you launch to bypass anticheat. This will allow you to play around with campaign and customs but not allow you to play any match made games. I highly suggest making a copy/backup of anything you modify so you’ll be able to switch back and forth easily.

Does the full MC collection gets discounted if you just buy Reach on Steam ? I would prefer to buy them as they come out instead of paying the full 40 straight, unless there's no discount.

40€ for the full package on steam is a too good of an offer to not take it. But as long as modding support isn't there, nothing wrong with taking the game pass version to check it out, if you are already subscribed anyway.

Yeah the price isn't the issue, it's more like paying full price and basically pre ordering the games except Reach.

I still have the gamepass sub, but eh, might just get it on Steam anyway.

Downloaded on GPX. Halo's not really my thing, but I'm curious to see if I'll enjoy it more with a mouse/kb setup than with a gamepad. I've always disliked the controller setup for the Halo games.

The sound is still as bad as it was in the preview, which is a shame.

Last time I played this was back in 2010 so I can't tell if always was like this, but everything is so muted.

Yeah, sound mixing is terrible, but at least the music is easy enough to listen to, if you play with audio settings a bit, and that feels like the most important element anyway. The effects and dialogue feel very interchangeable,

genuinely believe this was pushed for release by ms knowing all these related fixes will come in time but wanted to bump them onto next game. i mean they clearly wanted this out before the next halo game so they gotta work hard.

Why not? Halo 1 was perfect with mouse (you just point camera with mouse and vehicle automatically turns this way). Or they changed it?

Win32 games on Xbox Store are still encrypted and completely locked.
