Changed the drive letter of my Game Library drive and I now I can't uninstall my gamepass games. Well, I did "uninstall" some of them, but I'm pretty sure they are still taking space in my HDD. Downloading them again doesn't detect the previously installed files for some reason, so it just creates a new folder.

Can't open the folder to uninstall/delete manually of course, because why would you. Gonna have to format this drive...

I'm having troubles launching Fallen Order from Steam. I can play it but Steam can't see that I'm playing so I miss all Steam features like time, screenshots and overlay. Everything was fine until yesterday.

Look what a juggernaut franchise can do to push new hardware adoption.
Exactly one week has passed since Half-Life: Alyx trailer dropped, today it has 8.264.063 views with 425k likes and 14k dislikes. Impressive.

About this: I managed to fix it by going to Origin - Right click on Fallen Order - Repair. Not sure what caused the issue in the first place though.

I hope they drop Origin for their games sold on Steam asap.

Just entered in my first big battle (~70 vs ~50) in Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare and damn it was good. The battle location are a bit simplified, like it's just hills and trees along with some rocks for cover but once modding drops there will probably be some more detailed maps (the devs also said that they will be remaking the battlefields in the next update but I don't know how they will do it).

This game is great so far..

Good news everyone
Jamestown+ news from their discord channel
First - Jamestown+ is now available for pre-order on the eShop - it'll be roughly 17% off (so it's about $15) during the pre-order period and during the first week of sales

Second - we've been working closely with Valve on sorting out a great way to get Jamestown+ back in the hands of everyone who enjoyed the first Jamestown on Steam - we're pleased to be able to report that, if you own Jamestown (should include if you buy it now, too!), Jamestown+ will be available on Steam for one week after launch for just under $5

Considering getting Days Gone. It's 20$ on US PS Store, but not sure. And it's about 40€ on the EU stores. Incredible.

Edit: Bought the game for 20$. Not bad.

I think I'm done with the BF sale. No reason to go all in when the winter sale is right around the corner and there may be a chance for some meta game with bonus discounts. All I got was Fell Seal: Arbiters Mark, On Rusty Trails and Into the Breach from Humble since the added 20% off made it a better deal than Steam.
Still wondering if I should get Celeste now or wait for the next sale.

My nominations:

I just impulse bought a 1440P 144hz monitor, I hope it isnt bad! (BenQ EX2780Q), its $200 cheaper than the other 1440P/144hz monitors. Reviews seem decent but also there are not many reviews.
I think there's not many reviews as it's only been out for a few weeks.

Why the hell do I keep looking at The Quiet Man page thinking "I want to buy and see how bad it really is"? And I have a lot of great games on my backlog!

Also, there is a tentacle in the Steam sale banner now? I guess Gabe really does like anime (or something similar :p)

Specs look really good. Hope it is a good one! I'm envious because my options here are very limited. My TN 144hz 1440p Dell is having some issues, and my only viable option is... another one from Dell.

1440p at 144hz is so great, the only thing that could make it better would be better colors (one day we shall have OLED HDR, 1440p, 144hz,G-sync monitors for under $1K)

Well at least the Gundam reviews are now mixed instead of very negative (it was at 18% positive at one point).

Also aren't the views for Half Life Alyx closer to 10 million or something like that? I still don't get why some news sites post their own version on their site. Also it seemed like there was this one Turkish site or something that was copyrighting everyone that made a video that used the Half Life Alyx trailer (Youtube is broken as hell). I know this at least happened to one big VR channel.

Also Sony might be in talks with Valve about the game. Oh March.

Alyx on PSVR2 on PS5? SteamVR API for PSVR2? Any SteamVR compatible headset to work with PS5?
Astro Bot on SteamVR would be fantastic too.
Do we have any confirmation of PSVR support or PSVR2 for PS5? It would be good if Sony continued with VR on PS.

In light of what Phil said for Xbox, YoshP said that Sony will continue to support the PSVR and that it will work with the PS5, but there will likely also be a PSVR2, maybe sort of similar to what is happening with Steam VR, you can use any SteamVR HMD with Alyx but it was built with the index (PSVR2) in mind.

Also that YoshP comment I guess also shows a disconnect with console people and Valve, it seem that the praise for VR from some people seem to only be aimed at Sony,Oculus and HTC, but none at Valve (I guess this is what a lack of PR gets you)

This is honestly what I like the most about Valve and probably why they're not a public company. They seem more focused at doing stuff instead of being all over the news with PR catchphrases and all that rubbish. I hope they never change, they have more than enough money not to.

Man that Steam Awards badge is really helping game reviews. Especially Destiny 2.

It was around 95~k when the event started, and it skyrocketted to 127k review 3 days after the event started. Definitely gonna be looking at other games as the sale goes on. Love seeing people make use of the review system.

If only Valve encouraged players to write truly good reviews instead of "just reviewing for badge" but yes, I write a lot of reviews all the time, I like it, tomorrow I will probably post 2 more reviews, Destiny 2 (as I finished all campaigns) and Knights and Bikes (almost finished it)

Gotta love Square-Enix because they have just updated 2 of all the remaining Final Fantasy games, Type-0 and VII, why just those 2? WHO KNOWS but the rest are still non-updated.

Remember that Shouth Park's episode where bank decides their next move by letting a headless chicken decided on a board? well, I think this is exactly the same, they just randomly decide which one will be updated, and not only happens with this company but also Capcom and a lot others.
You should check the FF8 banner, its.... something else

Kinda wanted to get Surge 2 at 40% off which is not bad, but then i realized I haven't barely played the first game, so therefore I won't buy it yet. Also kinda wanted to get Greedfall and Code Vein, but they have both too low discount and by the time I have time for them, they will probably be at least 50% off.

And that's how I reason myself to not buy every game I want. :p

Dandy Dungeon, from Onion Games (Yoshiro Kimura's new studio, a developer who worked on titles such as Little King's Story, Moon: Remix RPG. Chulip, No More Heroes 1 and 2, Rule of Rose, and more), is now out on Steam.

Also, a sequel will be released as a free DLC/update in the near future:

Their first PC game, BLACK BIRD, has been struggling quite a bit on Steam (to a point where the developer took it as a lack of interest from PC gamers in their brand of games), so if you do enjoy this type of game, consider adding their titles to your wishlist, and maybe purchasing them in the future.

Fuck these shitty sites were it takes more than an hour to add to cart and then it randomly decides that you really need a SLI.

And of course you can't manually edit/cancel order, AND you need to phone (paid and closed) or use chat (which is, of course, closed).

perkele.

I like the developer and would love to see Moon RPG on Steam, but I question the judgement of launching a game on Steam during a major sale with no discount. :\
