Ok, this isn't right as I'm going to give my opinion about a direct answer from another forum but just saw this and needed to answer myself. ToraShiro is RIGHT, NISA hasn't abandoned the platform and I'm not sure why a lot of people has that impression, please let me explain myself.

NISA's support has been comparable to Square-Enix for me, you can't know when things will come to PC from them (a lot of their little stuff, my favorite, doesn't get announced for PC at first) but somehow it always come at a later date, in that regard I can agree that NISA has room to improve their communication (we still don't know about Disgaea 3 and 4, void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium, or pennies) but in general, the more I look at their catalog, the more content I see coming from them.

I don't think AT ALL that they abandoned Steam, if anything, they could improve their presence by confirming stuff earlier, but again, a lot of Japanese companies have this very same problem. In my opinion sometimes silence can mean contractual things, timing, resources, etc... so I'm not really worried about their presence.

Someone wrote the other day on a Steam forum (can't remember the game) that Japanese developers are jumping the platform because of our complains and so, and I can't disagree more, WE HAVE MORE THAN EVER AND MORE COMING DAY AFTER DAY, they are improving their PC presence and I can only imagine the future will be as bright (if not more) as it's right now.

Again, I want to apology if this pic is not allowed or if you want me to remove it, please just tell me, but I really wanted to say this as I cannot understand why always the "NISA is leaving or has already left"
Yeah it's an odd overreaction to say that NISA has abandoned PC. That comment is probably more from the frustration regarding CS3's situation specifically where a pretty significant portion of the fanbase is understandably getting a bit annoyed waiting for an announcement for a PC version (a platform where all the other Trails games are on), yet NISA is announcing and hyping a Switch version of it with 0 news on PC. Adding on top of the fact that NISA's support on PC is lackluster to say the best, I understand and absolutely sympathize with the frustration around that situation.

But as a Falcom fan since 2012, all I can say is be patient because "you get used to it"

RDR2's player number is much lower than I expected, kinda terrible actually with it no even hitting 12k. Many complain about the game not launching but still.
Take-Two made sure that the Steam community were the last gaming community to play this game. Even Stadia got it b4 Steam.

So they better be happy with their own RGL and EGS numbers otherwise they botched this launch really badly. The type of bullshit that should get people fired tbh.

Also Sweeney must be so happy right now seeing these low numbers. GTAV did almost 400k concurrent on Steam.

I was set on buying it today but I realized €60 after all this wait is pretty damn ridiculous, and you're not getting all content at that point. It does seem to have a fair bit of technical issues as well so I think I'll just ignore all this nonsense.

Yeah I didn't expected RDR to be so low on the chart, I think that a lot of people are also starting to be pissed off by that second-tier citizen treatment with every Rockstar release.
It will be interesting to see sales data and such, if we'll ever see something remotely close to that (And not PR talk without meaningful information)

There's some new, free, DLCs for Ghost Warrior Contracts:

And this bundle is a good deal:

Daedalic is a publisher I really like.
They release great "AA" games (that sadly get usually overlooked), and they frequently release these affordable bundles, where you can get a whole bunch of their recent titles, for a low price.

I already owned some of the titles of that bundle, and was already planning to buy Felix The Reaper (I was going to do so during the Humble sale, but forgot to get it before it ended), so "completing" that bundle was a no-brainer, and I got 4 new titles, for less than the price of some cosmetic DLCs for some games.

Other great, affordable, bundles:

RDR2:

  • Late Steam release
  • Many people probably already bought it on Rockstar Launcher.
  • High price on Steam, sales on Rockstar Launcher keys
  • Tons of different technical issues since RL/EGS launch.
  • Some has already finished it on console and don't find it worth to finish it once more on PC until deep sale (like me)

Too late for damage control, everyone will think it's a chance now and will wait regardless if Control will release on game pass or not.

Dammit Phil, what did you do. :p

I have to admit, I'm kind of enjoying this RDR2 screw up. It makes me wonder how much of a huge games sales are pure impulse purchases. Like at this point you're RDR2'd to death. You heard about it relentlessly with consoles, then Epic, Stadia, and now when it's on Steam people are like "where's the sale?" I wonder if they've depleted the hype purchases. And launching right between sales? Broke gamers are broke!

their shit-tier regional pricing isn't helping either
I waited until GTA 5 went to 20$ on steam because how insulted I felt by their outrageous pricing and I bought it on 360, Ps4 for 60 dollars each

So I mean the fact that a third party seller already has it getting discounts for 45-30$ just means I guess I'm waiting again for RDR2

All my game purchases are impulse purchases

You know how you guys feel when you read a Grayson article? That's how I feel when websites with PC in the title shit on the Steam Controller without giving it a chance.
... speaking of which - Gaben FINALLY shipped mine, they didn't cancel it! ... should be here next week! :D

Downunder.
I should get myself another unit of Steam Controller in case my current one breaks. Thing is, people already know it's being discontinued so there's no chance in hell I would be able to get one for under $50. :02sad:

Gabe must be finally clearing the stockpile in his 18 car garage, getting those controllers out. It's his side hustle.

Got mine two days after I ordered it. But it shipped from outside Chicago to east coast US, so not a big jump.

NIS is "poor" the only reason that company even exist anymore is because of NISA. NIS games in Japan sell very little copies, NISA localizes games for cheep and is basically able to keep it's parent company alive. YS VIII on N/S sold something like 500k copies while most of NIS titles don't even sell 100k.

And maybe you are talking about their mobile game which had issues
How should I go about fresh installing my Windows 10 OS on a new hard drive without losing stuff on my other drives?
How should I go about fresh installing my Windows 10 OS on a new hard drive without losing stuff on my other drives?
Not to harp on this point, but just to clarify, it sold 500k worldwide including every version of the game (reported by the end of 2018, well after the switch version came out) - Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana sales top 500,000; 'Christmas Gift Package' edition announced for PS4 in Japan - Gematsu

I don't have the exact numbers on me, but iirc it sold respectably well on Switch in the west (and bombed on Switch in JP)

The first true EGS/Steam tests will be next week when Ashen (9th) and Hades (10th) releases. But due to that Boneworks is on 10th, same day as Hades, I will be grabbing Hades, but wait on Ashen for later.

My steam controller arrived the other day but I can't use it until Christmas lul

No 2nd analog will take me some getting used to
I find it terrible for games that demand you to use all the face buttons, because moving the thumb between track pad and buttons kind of suck, but a game that is set up to use only shoulder buttons/paddles that you can keep your thumb on the trackpad most of the time it's great.

What are you talking about, Steam players should be happy to pay full price for a game that was 20% off the fucking week before.

If the majority of people interested in the games have already bought them on EGS and they are also not interested in double dipping.
There's also another factor. Those games are already discounted on EGS. If they're launching on Steam at full price, people (at least I) probably won't buy them on Steam without at least the same amount of discount.

Not all H games are made the same, there are some decent ones. I tried a different one very recently and well I want my money back (I am going to do a refund on it). I'm sure there are people out there that like it but it was sort of meh.

Also what was the deleted ATLUS tweet about?
