We're never getting anything like PS2 on launch, tech-wise, right?Yeah, although the "news in tech" aspect is a lot less exciting these days (and with PS4/XB1 already) than it used to be in the PS3/PS2 days. Those were wild machines.
Well that's the only way we can ever get the Crossbell arc officially localized, but I still wouldn't bet on NISA to actually translate those two games.
Why do you care what people at the other forum said? Most of the time when I went there, it felt like most posts are baiting for replies or concern trolling, and it got tiring after a while. I don't see any reason on bringing their opinions here.I'm sorry, someone on the other forum said that with funds Obsidian will be able to reach the greatness of Bethesda. I, uh, I'll go to check my blood pressure.

What I understand is the next Kiseki will be a TitS the 3rd situation - not the start of a new Arc but rather smaller stories following side characters of the Cold Steel games.I honestly thought we'd get Calvard after Cold Steel, granted I haven't played the 3rd game and 4th game yet. "Different playable routes at will" makes me slightly worried tho
I'm just a bit surprised. Enthusiast forums have always prefered Obsidian to Bethesda. Bethesda's RP systems in F4 were the butt of the jokes since the game came out and basically everyone I know considers New Vegas to be a true successor to original games. Why do you care what people at the other forum said? Not even sure about that, especially with CS4 coming down the pipeline, YS IX up for the taking and now this new Trails game coming next summer. NISA could always outsource all the TL/editing work for Crossbell, but it's just as probable that Falcom finds another publisher to localize them.I can see NISA translating these games, but only after a year or two of their JP release
I would never say Bethesda is a better developer than Obsidian and Bethesda has been trending downward for years. However, in general I have more fun with your average Bethesda games than your average Obsidian games. New Vegas is my favorite of all them but I consider that a joint venture as it using the core FO3 engine/ gameplay. The writing is 100x better in Obsidian games.. I dont argue one way or the other though as people enjoy different things. I think Crackdown 3 is severely underrated for example as the game is a lot of fun and thats why I personally play games.I'm sorry, someone on the other forum said that with funds Obsidian will be able to reach the greatness of Bethesda. I would turn this around: The fanbase wasn't fit for a great and talented director giving Star Wars a new and interesting spin.I didn't like Last Jedi much, but I really respect Rian for trying to do something new, giving SW a new direction. He was not fit for SW, but he is a great director and writer. His latest movie, Knives Out (a murder mystery) is apparently a fantastic movie.
Yeah, SW didn't deserve Rian.I would turn this around: The fanbase wasn't fit for a great and talented director giving Star Wars a new and interesting spin.
Whatever flaws his movies has, and they mostly resolve around pacing, the overreaction has little to do them with.
The crying about the long, wide angle and landscape transition shots putting people to sleep would be the best thing.Yeah, SW didn't deserve Rian.
Which makes me laugh every time someone wishes Villenueve to make a SW movie. Villenueve is way too talented to waste his time on SW.
I loved those shots, but those are pretty much only in BR2049, not his other movies and they were also in the first BR.The crying about the long, wide angle and landscape transition shots putting people to sleep would be the best thing.
I remember a few in arrival and a decent amount in Sicaro. Not to the extent of BR2049 though.I loved those shots, but those are pretty much only in BR2049, not his other movies and they were also in the first BR.
Both Sicario and BR2049 had Deakins as cinematorapher, so many of the wide shots is Deakins work,I remember a few in arrival and a decent amount in Sicaro. Not to the extent of BR2049 though.
Don't see the sound mixing issues even being addressed. Is Halo really supposed to sound so washed out?
I might enjoy RE if it featured lightsabers. Nemesis' bazooka isn't scary anymore if I can Force Push his rockets.
Bonus:
I didn't remember that BR2049 won for that. Deserved, I just saw it a couple of weeks ago for the 3rd time. Both Sicario and BR2049 had Deakins as cinematorapher, so many of the wide shots is Deakins work,
Also, Deakins won Oscar for BR2049 for cinematography.
It was Deakins first and so far only Oscar for cinematography.I didn't remember that BR2049 won for that. Deserved, I just saw it a couple of weeks ago for the 3rd time.
Toss in Deakins too.
Is it? The only reason that I can see this been an issue in fighting games is because of netcode? Isn't that the biggest issues that they have? They don't want to pay the engine license's fees. That is sadly very common with Japanese developers, it's been a hot topic in fighting games for a long time.
I highly doubt it.We're never getting anything like PS2 on launch, tech-wise, right?
I blame twitterI enjoy console launches just for the news in tech, all those people who are emotionaly involved in brand wars are just sad to me, I've witness pretty much all the generations transitions, back in the day console wars was a somewhat fun market ploy and everybody I knew talked shit between us as a gag, the end of the day we would play games on any console, I had Sega and my friend had Nintendo, so we and all our friends used to get togheter one day in my house to play Master System/Mega Drive and the next day we were on his house playing NES/SNES, we used to rent games for each other to play togheter, everything was in fun and jest. After Xbox360 and the advent of the internet, Console discourse became something else, was unberable, and I was glad I noped out of consoles when the Dreamcast died.
Todays culture where people self indentify with brands shit got out of hand, and common sense became offensive to some.
Well I mean there is a good modding community that supported that game.
Bonus:
Actually, it seems many people are buying cards, to craft badges and to receive mysterious cards to craft Winter badges. When is the winter seal?

Dafuck_, indeed.Leaked teaser/something from Chris Nolans next movie, Tenet:
I should have explained myself better, the issue in fighting games is about the license's fees for external netcode systems like GGPO... It's like you sayIs it? The only reason that I can see this been an issue in fighting games is because of netcode? Isn't that the biggest issues that they have?
It’s nice they’re porting those, hopefully they get a loc, not gonna play them otherwise as I cba to mess around with patches
What I do know is that people have expected at least a stable vision of what each film should be doing and they haven't gotten that this time around. They also expected their Childhood back lol and or a modernization of the film franchise.I don't really get what the gloom is around the new movies. I only saw all the new star wars movies this past year and was expecting them to be completely terrible and had zero confidence in disney. So coming off the prequel trilogy that was unwatchably bad, and George Lucas seeming to basically have no idea what to do with the franchise I was glad that disney ended up at least doing something with them.
So I was astonished that I actually really enjoyed all of them. I've got nothing to grumble about with it. I thought they were fun adventures and that's all I really expect out of star wars anyway. Really looking forward to seeing Rise of Skywalker regardless of silly plot twists.
Like where are these star wars movies with the amazing writing and pacing and stuff that we're comparing these to? Aren't they just adventure movies with a focus on visuals and effects? I've honestly never understood what it is people believe star wars is supposed to be like.
If you like the Trails games, you really should play at least the upcoming Geofront release of Zero. Zero is by far my favorite Kiseki game. It’s nice they’re porting those, hopefully they get a loc, not gonna play them otherwise as I cba to mess around with patches
