It's up for the Story Rich Game award instead.
Jkm23 yeah I think I can see that. I forget that there's like four decades of star wars out there. I've only seen the movies and played a bunch of the games. I don't think I can go "what's the big deal!?" to people who are dressing up as a stormtrooper at the convention center.
KotOR? That ancient game I tried earlier this year. which has such a horrible combat system and UI that I ended up having more fun tinkering with my Steam Controller than actually playing it? Thanks but I passThat's not how you spell KotOR.
edit:
Tie Fighter is fantastic. Need to replay it.
Dark Forces still keeps me entertained for an afternoon every year.
Jedi Knight games are great but screw the jumping puzzles. Played them a year or so ago.
KotOR & KotOR are my gold standard though. I need to replay them again.
Is Knights of the Republic still running? Some of the Class stories are supposed to be great.
Why EA didn't make a Star Wars game in the Mass Effect engine i'll never know. Well, SP games were dead obviously but i would have loved an MESW game. Still would.
B-but the teraflopsThis is basically the fourth console "generation" launch I fully witness, and it really is the exact same shit every time.
Luckily, I'm now on MetaCouncil pretty much exclusively in terms of forums, and most people here seem to share a (in my opinion much more healthy) attitude in the "it's that time again" to the "kind of neat" spectrum.
It's really relaxing.
2049 may have been one of the most beautiful movies ever. Deakins is the GOAT and crazy that was his first oneIt was Deakins first and so far only Oscar for cinematography.
Ep 1 Racer is good stuff too. Dark Forces is too labyrinthic for my taste, but it's not bad. And Battlefront 2 (the classic one) is fantastic.

I came from watching it myself. So I saw the new Star Wars, it was alright, in that "it's just a cosplay fan movie" kind of way. But the cinema cheered and clapped when it ended, so take that as you will.![]()
Discovery queue will offer trading cards.

Hey, I have a favor to ask from anyone with Lara Croft and Temple of Osiris. Does it work for you? For me I can start the game and look at the menus just fine, but as soon as I hit the NEW GAME button, it either hangs or crashes.
I know dex has played it recently and didn't have the issue I'm having, so I'm wondering if I can narrow down it to something.
Only thing I can think of is that it's somehow Ryzen's fault at the moment.
HALP
Wonder if Valve is sensible enough to make those non-tradeable/marketable to prevent people with total of 1000000's bots to abuse shit out of it.
Wait, people clap in the movies now?the cinema cheered and clapped when it ended

I can't really help you with that, I did play the game completely, but that was quite long ago (my achievements tell me it was in mid-2015).
Fake edit:
I just installed the game and it crashed on load.
So at least I can confirm it's not your Ryzen, but maybe Windows 10, or some update which broke it.

Just installed the game and it loads new game just fine. 8700k, 1080ti latest drivers, latest win10. What's your specs Parsnip? Maybe a problem with rtx lineup?
I'm on GTX 1070.I actually tried it on my intel integrated graphics laptop, so it's not an RTX issue for sure.
It's just a meme? Americans don't clap at movies in real life?hasn't "americans clapping at the movies" been a meme for close to a decade at this point
I'm on GTX 1070.
I suspected Ryzen since it wasn't out at the time and I think I recall dex being on intel, but looks like that can be ruled out.
I recently updated to the latest Win10, with both 1903 and now 1909 crashing the same way.
Frustrating.
I also suspected some kind of bink related issue since I think the video with the book plays when you start a new game, but not really sure how to test or even bypass it if that were the case.
Not really on topic with the original thread but, the reason we changed the pricing was based on Valves recommendation since there's suspicions about people buying the game in Argentina instead using VPNs or something to get away with paying significantly less than they're supposed to.
I came from watching it myself.
And... me and my wife enjoyed it at lot. A very nice surprise, especially considering the very low expectations we had, the negative reviews I knew the film was receiving, and the "tough cookie" that is following up that disaster that came before it.
The reaction at the cinema was very positive as well. People cheered during certain events of the film, and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Couldn't ask for more, from a "popcorn" movie.
It definitely managed to wash the bad taste left by that joke of a previous movie, and offer a nice send-off to these characters.
Me and my wife couldn't be different, in the sense that I like the original trilogy, and have plenty of media (games, comics, ...) from the Star Wars universe (though I surely never dressed up as any of the characters, nor did I went on twitter to badmouth the people behind the previous movie), and she has the minimum, and passable interest in the series, in the sense that she knows who Luke, Leia and Han Solo are, and not much more. She also really disliked the previous movie, and rather liked this one, so I would say the film managed to entertain someone who didn't know much of the callbacks to previous films.
I really don't understand the negative reviews I read.
Is it a space opera, in the style of the original trilogy? Yes, it is.
Is there a lot of "fan service", in the sense that there's plenty of old characters appearing, references to events and places from the original trilogy? Yes, there are. But, unlike what some people think, I don't believe it's a bad thing. This is a sequel to a well-liked trilogy of films, it's ok to treat the old films and characters with reverence. Criticizing a Star Wars film because it features what people would expect from a... Star Wars film is just weird.
There's nothing wrong with treating the events and characters of the original trilogy with some reverence. Especially considering that, if people are still taking about the series 4 decades later, it's because they were, and still are, fun and well liked.
Apparently, some people want everyone killed off, characters (both old and new) being completely forgotten about through extended periods of a film, and just a mess of a narrative, that manages to pretty much undo any decent impressions characters, both old and new, left in episode 7.
Well, for those people, if Rian Johnson does his trilogy of SW films, you'll probably get that in spades.
If you just like a good old space opera, with alien planets and species, cool action scenes, x-wing fighters shooting stuff, and good guys kicking bad guy butt, you'll probably have a good time watching the film.
If I had to point something negative about it, is that the story shown should have been two movies. It covered a lot of ground, in a fast pace, early on, basically to undo all the crap that was done in the previous movie.
And it managed to do just that, since I once again started to "care" about Finn, and Poe, and Rey, and Kylo, and all the other guys and gals, new and old, good or bad.
All in all, as someone who grew up with the original trilogy, I would say this was a nice closure for this story arc.

I watched a lot of blockbuster movies in cinema and the only time I saw people clap was at Pacific Rim premier. And that's by mecha weebs. The culture has been well-integrated to Indonesia nowadays. People are also clap in theaters, especially in superhero movies.
Oh that works for you? Then I guess it's not a bink issue either since even if I rename or delete the intro video, it still crashes.Yeah, it's weird. this guy has the same specs as me and he too have the same problem as you. I did installed the game to my hard drive, not my nvme. But other than that i dunno.
You can try renaming or deleting the intro to see if it's bik related or not. the game loads just fine without the intro, i've tested it. just rename or delete LC2Intro,bik from Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris\movies\pc
Thats not how you spell Clone Wars series :vAll these years, and the best piece of Star Wars media is still Jedi Outcast.

Tried moving the install to a hdd just to rule it out too, no luck there either.
