I had to spend less time playing games this week, but I've managed to make a review on Pathologic 2 before the end of this year and current Steam sale. Here are my thoughts about this unique game:

It's not perfect, extremely hard to get into, but I loved it. There was nothing like this released this year and I doubt we'll see anything like this in the near future. Game bombed kinda hard and critics mostly gave it shit scores, so yeah, it kinda repeated the story of the original game. Btw it's currently on sale:

Iirc the quest giver will only be alive (and open the cave) if the charred visage boss is the first one to be defeated. But there's supposedly a different way into the cave later on, that quest would have just been a shortcut (I also "failed" it, heh).

If Prey had (much) more restrictive rewards for quests and you had no chance of crafting upgrade kits
...then I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
You clearly want other things out of these games, but I can't agree that it's better for a game like this to keep you weak throughout -- to me, that's a horror game, which is a different genre (and one I dislike).

I hate when I have to decide between watching NFL games, play games, or do some adulting.

I'm trying real hard not to add another +1 to those impressive Witcher 3 numbers. The Netflix series has left me really wanting to do a third playthrough, and this time with an actual New Game Plus available. A little scared of all the hours that would require.... but then I start thinking about the mods I never tried... the higher settings I would be able to run today.... tough call :)

Also, finally a daily quest that doesn't require one to have... friends :p (or a secondary account that I'm using for that).

Is Outward worth it if you play it alone? How good it is?

Truth be told I also dislike horror games so that's not what I'm looking for in games like Prey or Deus Ex.
I don't want to remain weak, I want a RPG system that is consistent with the world and the 'realistic' limitations characters should/must have, in order to improve in whatever role I set for my character. Does it make sense that you can be a master hacker + master gunman + master psychic + whatever else at the same time? What's the point of having multiple branching skill trees if you can max out all of them by the (near) endgame?
I respect your opinion and I'm happy you've found joy in the game but it's undeniable that the RPG systems of most, or all, modern Immersive Sims, which is core for this genre of games, is flawed.

So in less than 2 months we will get to know if Division 2 is a full Epic/Uplay exclusive or if Ubi still likes money.

Ubisoft's intention to migrate fully to their own store was pretty clear from the start. I don't think EGS has any bearing on that, they just took their money on top knowing full well that most of the sales would be from Uplay instead, which most people had been using already as it was required in their Steam releases too. Whether they will stick with their original intent or eventually go back to Steam like Bethesda/EA/Microsoft did remains to be seen. Even if The Division 2 does go Steam, it could be just an exception in an effort to save a specific game from its death, maybe alongside a move to a f2p scheme like Destiny 2. Regardless it's too early for them to backpedal and go back to Steam as a whole, they'll probably stick with the plan for a few years at least to make sure.

The Witcher 3 is old and 70% off, how many copies does it need to sell to reach the revenue of one RDR2 copy, lol? Edit: 5.3 copies in this part of euroland.

It's very complex to calculate due to regional pricing, but US/EU ~3x. would be needed to beat RDR2.

Both are doing well surely :p

Everyone talking about The Witcher, and I´m just curious to know what role Ciri will play in Cyberpunk 2077.

Without getting too much into spoiler territory, given the story context of Prey I don't find it immersion-breaking for the player character to eventually end up powerful beyond normal human limitations. Also, I think you are overstating the case a bit -- I did quite a completionist playthorugh of Prey, and even so I was far from mastering all the trees.

Yup. Gets even better if you mod it and find some great songs.
We tried that. Some were good, but others were totally out of sync with the music. It's impossible to know which ones are good and which aren't before playing them.

I need more Beat Saber in my life, this game is a masterpiece.

Are we doing a GOTY voting thread?

EDIT: Oh, another separate thing I just want to gripe about, I've now had 2 ctash to desktops within about 20 mins of each other in RDR2 >_<
Don't suppose there's any advice on this, or is the RDR2 port still seen as a bit of a pup?

Finished Devil May Cry 5. It's fine, and I really enjoyed most of my time with it. I just wish there was more levels we played as Nero. To be honest, I would be happy if we only played as Nero, but guess that would turn a lot of people off.
