Late to the discussion but youtube-dl + ffmpeg will always be the best and safest option. Open-source and adware-free. Once you get used to a few basic commands, you can rip and convert into tons of formats, and you can do full playlists.

I have never heard of Tresor before
Looks pretty similar to Krave, might be regional naming.

Edit: Found another box image, it's definitely the same thing
I looked up wikipedia

"Kellogg launched their version of it in the UK in 2010, marketed under the slogan "Taste Unleashed", later "Here Choccy Choccy" or "It's Time To Melt". The advertisements feature the cereal pieces hunting blocks of chocolate. The cereals are sold in Europe under the name Trésor or Tresor depending on where exactly it's sold. It was introduced in the United States in 2012.[1]"

It's a regional naming change indeed

Started on FFVI again after like 1.5 years hiatus, just something that made me put the game aside.

Despite the game being old, I have no problems (so far) with playign it.

Im using a trainer for max HP as I suck in JRPGs, so far so good.

Beautiful device and a 1200p screen

but what is the framerate? If Alienware lets you customize would be cool if you can go as high to 120 or 144hz. There has definitely been some mobile devices with 120hz irrc so it should be possible. If it can play MK11 smooth and lag free...it means you can pretty much play everything on steam with that thing for years with no problems.

Hopefully its not too pricey but ofc its gotta be Alienware. If its basically Switch Pro Internals and that screen it shouldn't be more than 500$. But again its fucking Alienware :confounded-face:

I really hope Dell commits to that UFO thing and it becomes somewhat successful for them.

Steam as a platform could absolutely be very beneficial for pc gaming handhelds. If you are a regular steam user you probably have hundreds if not thousands of games by now. So you won't need to start collecting games from scratch like you would a Switch for example. Buying a 300$ device and then being forced to buy expensive nintendo games that rarely get good discounts. Overpaying for a pc gaming handheld device is easy to swallow when you have a massive library of games to instantly play using that device. Honestly I think even 600-700$ for that 1200p screen device could be worth it all things considered.

Also with steam being able to do all the customizable control schemes will pay off so easily with this. Valve would just add in that UFO controller device to steam and you would essentially be able to play a lot of M/KB only games on steam with ease using that handheld the same way you would on steam controller. It would really be hassle free.

Plus you have GOG, Gamepass and emulation which would be amazing with a device like that.

Some really exciting times ahead and its only an early prototype. What could those devices look like in a couple years :p

The problem with portable PC devices is that there aren't really any choices for hardware that are inexpensive, have reasonable efficiency, and have decent GPU performance. It's hard to even get just 2 of those 3!

The Ryzen Embedded V1000 series might be an option, but it only goes down to 12W (which is still a lot in a handheld form factor) and there aren't any actual shipping products with it.

Hey, Intel's GPUs are good for 90% of PC games, and the other 10% you could just Steam Remote Play from your desktop.

Interesting, in Prey, I was little lost so I had to run back and forth a bit and I got so frustrated with enemies respawning that I put the game to easy but at that moment I kind of lost interest. At first I thought it was because I put it to easy, like how I thought always before, but I think what it really is, is that I got so frustrated with the game to such point that I changed it to easy, but at that point it was already too late. With all that said, I should have just played on easy from the start and I am going to continue it because I love so much about the game! I don't think my "being over it" with the game is a permanent state just a temporary one. Which is a new good thing for me to consider, with other games where I have done the same but never went back to them,
I'm playing it on normal difficulty and
without alien neuromods.
Throwing furniture at an enemy as a sneak attack is kind of OP.

Valve make a Steamboy

Price it decently (well under $1KUSD) and watch the main reason of buying a N/S just vanish. Yes there are first party games but most people only seem to care about ten portability (since docked mode sucks)

Announcement regarding partnership with Tencent

We would like to announce we have received a capital investment from Tencent Holdings Limited as a basis for partnership. This partnership has no effect on the independence of our company, and we will continue operations under our current corporate structure.

We hope to use this capital to strengthen our foundation as a business and expand from game development into exploring self-publishing. We also hope that this partnership can give us a wider global perspective, while still creating high quality games that stay true to our name.

Thank you as always for your continued support. Please look forward to what we have in store.

Haha anime really does sell. I decided to put cards on sale only if they gave me 0.10€ at minumum, so It was just some of them, BUT all of them anime and in one day I made 3€ haha. I mostly did it to have funds to complete other badges where I have buy orders for 0.03€ per card.

Mmmmm used my Idle Master Extended to idle out about 200+ cards that I had been sitting on. Earned over $4.50 for a bunch of cards and now I need to finish selling the low cost ones for 3/4/5 cents per over weeks so as not to waste my own time.

I'm starting to enjoy Tekken 7. But is it me or are the "diagonal" input commands (eg. down+right) very hard to execute with the D-pad of the Xbox One controller? I'm loosing many rounds because my fighter does something else than I want him/her to do... :cautious:

On the bright side: I want to praise the level design of Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair once again. Yesterday I played a classic left-to-right level, where the modified version turned the level bij 90 degrees, thereby turning it into a vertical climber. So sad such an excellent game didn't sell well. The bad reception of the first game and the high difficulty + lack of checkpoints of the final level may have something to do with this).

I am so used to the DS4's d-pad that I could do Geese's pretzel motion super normally.
I generally do it the easier way but I could do that motion still on it if I felt like it :V

EDIT: Anyways
Are NVidia not announcing any GPUs this CES?

For those that didn't check the video I posted about this month's adventure games releases, a reminder that this week, the developer behind the Rusty Lake series will release a new game, The White Door:

I added up what ive spent on Steam alone this past year. I do not advise doing this.
Yeah, never do that unless you're very rich or looking for a push to change your spending habits. :steam_pigblanket:

I have a fancy spreadsheet for my yearly gaming spending that lists every gaming related expense, precisely so that I can avoid these situations, heh.
Though I do not track hardware spending (yet) and I had a bunch of that last year.

I use a simple app called Pennies to try and stay within a set budget when it comes to gaming expenses. I checked a billion different apps but this was the only one with budget rollover so it'll show me a higher or lower amount of money to spend if I overspent or stayed under budget in the previous month(s).

I tend to forget it exists during summer/winter sale though. :steam_pigblanket:

Im definitely going to be a bit more frugal with my buying this year, mainly because i keep getting these games but am not playing them and the backlog just grows bigger and bigger. Its a waste. Im now thinking that if im not likely to play a game within a month of buying it ill wait for a bit. Im also not buying games at launch anymore. You just pay a higher price for a buggeyer game.
