If anyone is picking up Orangeblood, be aware that their fullscreen scaling implementation is currently a blurry mess.

However, with the aid of Lossless Scaling application, the pixel art is sharp and beautiful.

I've written my concerns in the bug report thread for the game.

So I tried the FFXIV trial and well shit, I actually like it. Interested in buying it on Steam, but I don't like wanna pay a monthly sub.
The biggest issue with starting FF14 as a new player:
If you want to rush to the current endgame, you really can't go around the locked Story progression before the first expansion. The "max level" unskippable story content for the base game is longer than the story content from the previous levels combined. And raids and dungeons are part of the mandatory content. Even with old players doing the runs with their downleveled characters, it could be a slog for DD characters.
Or you could buy the skip potion for $15 and get to the first expansion when you hit the prerequisite level.

When I got my buddy to the base game endgame, we were stuck for days doing the content before we got to the expansion.

I have mixed feelings with The Evil Within. I like the stealth focused gameplay but everything else feels so clunky. And the first chapters are totally not Resident Evil 4.

Guess i'll share my top 5 of 2019

1: Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
2: CODE VEIN
3: Red Dead Redemption 2
4: Beat Saber
5: Metro Exodus

Haven't played a lot of 2019 releases, so this is what i came up with. I almost forgot Tales of Vesperia DE was 2019 since it came out early january, so to the top it goes.

Oh, and :blobyesanime:

He talks about this as an example of Atari does what GameBoy couldn't, but Blue Lightning - a quite good and fun Afterburner clone of sorts, was really a knock-your-socks off experience in a portable platform in the day.

Lynx absolutely destroyed Game Gear in pretty much every aspect - visuals, screen quality, audio, games. Atari just didn't have the name by then.

VR headset sales literally dead for months.
(unless you travel to japan and find some random shop having inventory lol)
I wonder how Sony feels about this.

Back in the PS3 days they were selling system for $800USD and those were sold out from what I recall. But for VR to do this.

Is it safe to assume that Sony is in talks with Valve to get HLVR on PSVR2.

PSVR2 has sold a lot, but isn't some of that because of how many people already have a PS4 and how relative to PCVR, it is a lot cheaper to get into PSVR, well that was until the Oculus Quest was released. So where does that leave the PSVR? When compared the the Index and the Quest, it's pretty meh.

Any start of trilogy (Rorona, Ayesha, Sophie or Ryza) should be good.
But honestly, start with Mana Khemia.
I don't really just mean for story, I mean for stuff like progression of gameplay systems and quality of life changes. Is it best to look up the original release order and then just fill in the updated games for where the originals came out or did any of those rereleases update features and such (like a Kiwami situation) so now they're better to play later? I recall reading about play order in the past and I think the Vita Plus editions of the game made it all really confusing.

Edit: I found this list online. Look good? Just what is an Atelier and where do I start? Atelier Series Guide

Actually crazy to witness how much weight Half-Life still has to this date.
Imagine a console periphery that goes for 1000 bucks and gets sold out.
I mean, people have been waiting twelve years tor a follow up, and despite people saying theyve moved, we will jump at any scrap that will help fill things in/prove to Gaben that they have should been making more half life story

It would be nice if Kekmo has the wisdom to update the game portraits as well. It's still a mess for months now. :02dead:

totally send this to their social media via twitter or whatever place you are in.

Friday is my next day off, so that is when I will vote! Thanks for sending me a ballot.

I booted up my PS3 copy of Ayesha in RPCS3 and it actually looks better there compared with the native PC version lmao. With internal resolution scaling and proper mipmaps, no less. :dana_blanket:
This is so depressing. Not even so much the state of the game (though that is sad), but that Tecmo KEEPS DOING IT. They learn literally nothing?? I'm so confused about their port teams. They've been doing this for years now and almost nothing has changed in a positive way for them.

well , they occasionally randomly fix things to pretty fine state like Nioh or Thighsa (i guess only for their most selling stuff )

If I end up submitting a gotd vote I'll narrow it down to 1 entry per franchise. Should make it easier.

Weather over here been rather curious.
On the 14th, sun was shining and everything was fine. Cold but fine
Early this morning, heavy rains. So heavy they woke me up at around 7ish AM. More rain is likely to pour later today but this is pretty uncommon weather we got over here @o@

Orangeblood seems cool!
Temtem is quite nice!
But I have half a dozen games installed already!

I have time for nothing, and I have no idea what to vote for as GOTY and haven't played yet what really interests me like Disco Elysium!

But it's ok, more Steam sales soon. :steam_cleanseal:
Just in time to not buy anything again, not vote anything as GOTY, and not play anything anyway because life.

No worries. I'll try to do that tomorrow. It's getting late and I want to relax a bit with a VN.
