There are so many things that I see wrong with that quote. How can you cash in on BioShock? Because in order to do that wouldn't they need to change the game more? By which I mean methods of monetization.

Same here, I don't know what they are thinking. This system doesn't feel rewarding at all, you are supposed to feel it's a good investment to buy things directly on Steam but it's the complete opposite...I had plenty of tokens left at the last sale.

Nope. Profile elements are temporary (the miniprofile theme, animated background and gold profile) and chat effects too. Stickers and emojis do not expire.

We'll never know but doubtful, they went full stinge after being admittedly a tad too generous during last years lunar and summer sales. I spent a boatload then partly because there were reachable incentives like multiple discount vouchers and a real chance to get all the items. Now you have to buy tooons of games (which big whales probably already have) or add looots of funds. Which I have a good amount of already in my Steam wallet. My mistake and going forward I'll wait to stock up but the balance has shifted too far imo.
