Sure, but IMO it is more aesthetically pleasant that way. In FF7 case it seems that they’re just too lazy to change it now. (Which is par on course with SE I guess)
Of course. But Final Fantasy doesnt have the advantage of having an R or an E in its name (unless you count seven but thats cheating) :p

That has never stopped Kingdom Hearts :p

In the case of FF7, the original is available on PS4, so they have to differenciate the title between the original and the remake.
they could just rename the old one to PSX Classics or something. My main complaint is that the font used looks hideous

Ah so this is the version that will come to PC.

:suicide-blob:
They'll either shadow drop this on PC at the same time, since this seems to be a year after the "The Story so far" collection.
Or this release "refreshes" the "exclusivity time" (read: Square Enix idiocy) and we'll have to wait another year.
:precure_hana_think:

Gonna finish up Half Life 1 during the next few days, as I just made it to Xen.
I can see why it is so praised.
Putting aside its issues, the scope of its campaign and atmosphere is commendable and a good strong point of it.
Plus the sounds of the gunfire is :wd_praise:

The sound design in Half-Life is so amazing. Same with 2.

Can't wait to see what they do with Alyx. It being VR/Headphones focused has a lot of potential.

Hopefully the soundtrack leaks a few weeks in advance :evilblob:

Looks like EA is preparing for EA Access coming to Steam by doubling prices of almost all games in EU and other regions.
(The Sims 3 got halfed tho and expansions got mix of halfed or upped in price by 33%+)

Almost everything is 899ARS in Argy now, even all the Sims 3 expansions.

There's one, actually.
DeejayDoom posted about it here:

Hahaha this is hilarious. 😂

Rage 2 has some incredible combat and gunplay. If you have Gamepass I wouldn't sleep on it. Legit some of the best combat cycles I have played this gen. Better than Doom 2016 I felt.

The Story, visuals, and basically everything else was pretty mediocre though. Def worth just experiencing to see if the gunplay clicks, it's also easily beatable in 5-6 hours.

True! The sound design is great... although I still think that HL2 (along with HL1) has the worst sounding SMG in the history of videogames.

I can't really say why I hate that sound... but I hate it. I even remember modding it out of the game back when I first played HL2!

MMOD is really great in that it makes the weapons feel a bit beefier, along with HL 2 Update. I think it stays very true to the original HL2 and improves on it:

I am less loving of mods than many on here, I feel often HD texture packs miss the artistic intent of areas. Or weapon models look out of place ect.
However MMOD and HL2 Update are a great way to play HL2 for the first time.

Steam Play For Linux

Steam Play for Linux, which uses a modified distribution of Wine called Proton, celebrated its first birthday in August. When we talked about Steam Play for Linux last January, the community had reported that over 3,400 games were compatible. Today that number is over 6,500. This is all super exciting for us, because it means that users can realistically play a huge number of games on the platform of their choice, with no additional work required by developers. Proton continues to see improvements, further decreasing the performance overhead to gaming on Linux. Alongside these Proton changes, we also looked to improve shader compilation specifically with gaming in mind; this resulted in the release of ACO, a new Mesa shader compiler for AMD hardware. Not only has ACO led to a decrease in shader compilation times, but some promising initial results have shown that it could improve in-game performance as well.

I have an awesome Internet connection, but sadly, I am using wifi right now. However, as far as I can see, the performance is correct (a bit of aliasing, but not too much lag). Geforce looks worse than Shadow (graphics are worse, and the session is wiped clean, so I lose my screenshots and I have to reinstall the game every time), but I tried Shadow with Ethernet and I am trying Geforce with wifi, and Geforce is free... I should have taken part in giveaways of AAA games which I cannot run on my config!

Geforce (screenshot from my desktop, because the screenshot was wiped from the Geforce machine):

Just noticed that the first game of this is long out on Steam.

Seems like a neat title.

It is pretty neat.
Got it for free for backing his Legend of Iya game back in the day, that one hasn't shipped yet. Seems like he's full in on Winter Belle now so I guess waiting another year won't hurt.

Just tried the new SteamVR ui which is in beta.

It's a lot smoother than the previous one which was just BPM.
And you just saw what's potentially a glimpse of how BPM might evolve in the future.

Just seems like wasted energy to keep holding a grudge over stupid stuff like this.
Like, maybe the dude is a little ignorant about Steam and such but it's not like he insulted me personally.

forgiving them and checking if they don't stray from their path is wasting even more energy.
Forgiving them and not caring about their behavior just makes more assholes.

I said it before, I say it again, if some individual people have to fall flat on their face, so that the rest of the industry can be healthy, so be it. They don't care about customers, I don't care about their financial well-being and will not contribute to their financial well-being. They already drove out more developers than they will ever contribute themselves.

The Internet does not forget, which almost prevents individuals forgetting. The only answer is to not say stupid shit in public places such as the Internet in the first place,
Its almost laughable if you think about the Internet being the greatest knowledge resource humankind has ever had and yet people still like to spout complete shit on it.

It keeps crashing on me :pensive-face:

So EA must be gearing up for their Steam relaunches because they just fucked regional pricing on most of their old titles in a bunch of countries.

The regional pricing in Canada was untouched on Origin so EA just randomly made their Steam games 25%+ more expensive than their Origin counterparts for no reason. Thanks EA.

Forgive them for what? Valve doesn't need me to defend their honor.

Oh, I won't forget. But holding a grudge because someone said a mean things about Valve/Steam is like peak system warrior shit and who wants that in the end.

So they only plan to update the mobile app to add more security measures and not to make it more. Convenient and useful to end users?

You know what they say, ignorance is a bliss.

Sadly I wish people would be less ignorant and realize that holding a grudge is not the same as remembering what a person of a company did/say are two different things.
