Er? At first I assumed this was basically Nvidia's Steam Link, but nope, it's a full cloud streaming thing.
I just tested The Witcher 3 from my Steam account and the remote hardware on the free option can max that at 1080p/60fps. My actual stream was low quality, my internet sucks and I'm on 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, yet there was little lag even though I felt a lot when controlling Steam remotely to download the game on there. They basically gave me a free 1080p remote Nvidia pc to access at any time and play my existing (supported) games? How is this profitable?! It's like Stadia except you don't buy games there but access your pre existing libraries. I guess they hope everyone will sub for the high quality stream (but I don't even have the net for it, lol) and even better remote hardware? I don't see how they can sustain this level of great service to freeloaders like myself but as long as they do I'll find a use for it, either to play a future game my PC can't run to postpone an upgrade or play point & click and other such suitable games on a phone etc.

  • Replicates Fallout 1 in 2 almost 1:1.
  • Comes with the Hero Appearance mod integrated (Bald Dude, Long Hair Dude, Punk Girl).
  • Selected Fallout 2 weapons have been added (sparingly!) to the game world in ways that don't break the game balance.
  • Fallout 2 styled merchant inventory restocking (Optional).
  • Party members and generic NPCs can be pushed out of the way.
  • Party members level up and change their appearance based on worn armor.
  • Party members can be controlled in combat (Optional).
  • Automatic door opening and closing (Optional).
  • Traverse the wastes on your very own motorcycle (Optional)!
  • Continue playing after the main story has been completed (Optional).
  • Lots of bugfixes, making the game run more stable than even the original with patches.

Just an advice for those who want to play PSO2, please use controller if you want to play for an extended time.

Btw

PSO2's original planned western localization and maintenance budget was drafted from projected Colonial Marines profits, which should have been a Slam Dunk given the value of the Aliens brand - Of course Gearbox found a way to fuck that up. That was a bomb so bad that Sega of America had to go into Austerity Mode and lay off pretty much all their Localization staff, not just indefinitely delay PSO2. Of which they wouldn't recover until Sega bought Atlus and had Atlus USA effectively replace all that laid off staff.

Card games are closing everywhere.

Hello Heroes!

After over two years, spanning 30 seasons with 6 Heroes, we sadly announce that our adventures are coming to an end.

Fable Fortune will be shutting down servers on March 4th 2020.

The in game store is now disabled which means you will no longer be able to purchase card packs. If you have any outstanding card packs in your inventory, you will still be able to open them throughout the remainder of January, February and March until the game closes down.

We’d like to thank everyone who has joined us for the journey and extend our gratitude to the entire Fable Fortune community.

The Fable Fortune Team

Thanks, Randy. What a douche.

I’ll be all over PSO2. Though something I read about it being easy to mess up your build is not something I’m looking forward to. Will have to read into it more deeply.

The only thing that you can really mess up is your Mag (like support unit/pet) everything else can be reset.

Can someone who tried this new GeForce Now thingy tell me how it compares to Steam Link ? When I tried the latter on a fucking visual novel I got regular drops, which is not really acceptable imho (it's a vn yeah, but it fucks the sound up).
Now my apartment may very well be a difficult place for wi-fi coverage, and all this is moot anyways if you can't launch every steam games in this new Nvidia service, but still...
How is it ?

So yeah, looks like TW101 is one of four games. Bayo, anyone? JaseC
Considering the circumstances, there's certainly no denying the possibility that Bayonetta 2 will follow suit, but I wouldn't hang your hat on it.

Late edit: Whitelisting metacouncil.com didn't fix my issue with e-mail notifications not coming through. I give up. :( They were coming through just fine until October(ish).

Do we have a giveaway bot here like Era/Gaf?
Just a giveaway thread that operates on a sort of honour system, don't just take all the keys at once etc....

Yeah, while I can totally see Platinum trying to get the publishing rights of Bayonetta 2 and the Astral Chain IP in the future, I don't think it will happen in a VEEEEEEEERY LONG TIME, Scalebound IP tho? that's one I can see them getting back from MS.

But yeah, it's 2020 and so far I think we can safely say "impossible" things are going to happen from now on.

Is there anyway to make Steam launch a shortcut of a game's .exe instead of the .exe it ships with?

For SAO: Fatal Bullet, you have to disable the Anti-cheat to hook it with 3rd party stuff like Special-K and the like I guess? This involves making a shortcut of it's .exe and adding the "-NoEAC" command. But Steam won't launch the shortcut?

I just wanna make sure I can hook it with RTS, ReShade, Cheat Engine if necessary (for grind reasons), and Special-K...

Ah, Andrew Babo.

I crowdfunded his game Legend of Iya in August 2013, with a delivery date of... November 2014.

This will be his 3rd game (+ ports) since running a crowdfunding campaign, and Legend of Iya is still nowhere to be found, nor near completion.

He keeps insisting his game is still coming out, but it's now been 6 years and a half, and it seems he works on everything but the game he crowdfunded.
Recently, he got a Switch kit, so naturally Switch ports are incoming, because the Switch is the saviour of everything, so that has to take priority.

If developers can't commit to a game, they really shouldn't crowdfund anything in the first place.

heh , had to check last KS update from October 4, 2017
While progress has been made on LOI, my attention had to constantly shift between the project and contract work, so I couldn't gain enough momentum to wrap things up.
To make matters worse, the once mighty Steam has become a cesspool of shovelware and asset flips, where good games go to die. This has been weighing heavily on my morale to the point were I had to do something: in order to secure further financing for LOI development, and probe new avenues of distribution, I have partnered with WayForward to port Mystik Bell to consoles.
Mystik Belle releases today, October 3rd for Xbox One and PS4 digital downloads, and if it does even remotely okay, I should be able to get back to working on LOI full time again, without having to constantly divert resources to contract work.

This however, is still a big “IF”, so I'm keeping crossed all possible finger combinations.

Thank you once again for being patient and understanding.

Forged battalion is kicking my ass. I can't beat the 5th mission on normal difficulty. And I used to be an RTS veteran many years ago 😑

Just noticed that the first game of this is long out on Steam.

Seems like a neat title.
I wrote a short review after beating it some months ago ;)

This was the second time I switched to firefox and once again I'll have to drop it because it just isn't up to par. It's slow and the freezes and crashes are becoming more and more frequent.

Well, looks like Satisfactory might be closer that we think, as you already know (and if you don't you will in just a few seconds) Satisfactory deleted their store page so adding tags by users is impossible as we don't have access to the store page, so, if any tag gets added it's potentially a manual thing done by developers themselves, take in consideration that most of this processes are automated so, while it might be a sign (and the activity of the depot started just last week after 8 months of silence and non-activity) of the coming back, this also might be just an automated thing, still worth sharing.

Satisfactory?
You mean that game from another developer that was mocking and antagonizing people who were upset about the EGS exclusivity?

Why do people keep rewarding shitty developers?

I guess they really want to sell 10 copies more...

I don't agree with their manners and their sense of humor, but as I'm reporting changes of every EGS exclusive for fun, I thought it would be interesting to share with you.

To my utter shock, Geforce Now is great. I was limited to 1280x800 and 30 fps due to my slow connection (24 mbps in theory but it's more like 13 mbps in practice) but every game I tested was absolutely playable. There were times when I honestly forgot that I wasn't playing natively. Well done Nvidia.

I've been using Firefox exclusively for browsing for almost 2 decades (well, it wasn't always called Firefox in that time period) and I think I had issues with three specific release versions, for about 2 days each, in that time period.
Which is not to say that there can't be issues, but I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it.

So Andrew Babo pretty much got free money after Kickstarter?
In all fairness, he ended up sending copies of his two games he developed to kickstarter backers, to shut people up.
So, it wasn't a total loss.

But let's be honest, it's been almost 7 years.
Even working part time on it, the crowdfunded game should have been more than finished.

Instead, he keeps working on other games, supposedly to further fund the main game (he is the only person working on the game, so I'm not sure what he needs more funds for, except, of course, living expenses).
He has released 2 games since then. Released ports of them. Now, he's got a Switch kit, and mentioned he needs to pay for some expensive licenses in order to use his tools with that Switch kit, so it's clear he is spending his time and money on other titles, and not really on his supposedly "main" project.
Every 2 years or so, when people ask about it, he posts a short animation gif or two, to show he supposedly keeps working on it. But, nothing is coming out, at least soon.

He is finishing his third game since that kickstarter campaign. He will be porting all 3 titles to the Switch. Clearly, 2020 is yet another "lost" year.

On top of that, for years he has been throwing tantrums that games no longer sell on Steam, as if to justify not being worth it working on the crowdfunded game, since it was a PC release.

I wish I could apply this type of tactics and interactions they have with their potential customers in my line of work.
If I don't work, I get paid jack shit. If I insult or mock someone who contracts my company, or is thinking about doing so, I lose the client.

Do you realize those tweets are all from last year, right? not only those from Andrew but also the satisfactory one.

They have? I thought the guys from Satisfactory kept up with their mocking, especially after the game sold well on EGS.

And regarding Andrew, can you please point me anywhere that shows he has changed his perspective since then?
I ask because his last update on kickstarter was posted in 2017, and his comments in the comments section kept hitting that same point.

Regarding the first one, yes, their last tweet about Steam was way more subtle and less "funny" just a simple "that's top secret" and was posted in December, surprisingly just a few weeks later their depot gets new activity.

And about Andrew, can't cause it's the first time I have read about him, sorry haha so if I'm wrong here, I'm sorry.

I find it strange to blame Steam becoming an open platform on your lack of success. Especially when Valve has started push more and more complex tools to discover games.
Yes, back in the early days, you barely needed to do anything, since you might have only competed with a few dozen of other indies games coming out in any month, Today you actually need to go out and attract some attention, especially in a world where you literally compete with every other form of entertainment as well. That's not unfair, it's simply how the world works.

I don't see Andrew Bado bringing up Epic, at least.
