Scourgebringer plays really well, there's craaazy combos to pull in that game. Really nice.
On the other hand... as much as the skill tree is actually quite relevant, giving you brand new active skills, the rogue-like progression in suuuper bland... and you gain so few items that it's not very relevant.
Because there's so little content, it will last you a couple of hours if you're bad. Few zones, extremely limited room variety, few different ennemies, always the same bosses (again, why make rogue-likes if you always fight the same things all the time?).
Could be a very good game once fully released, but as it stands, it's hard to recommend for 15 bucks. It's on Gamepass though.

Anyway, I played through RE7 and the dlc through family sharing but it wont let me play one of the dlc's, Not A Hero, which was actually free. Anyone know the reason for that?

Polititians in general are embarrassing. The difficult truth in American politics, and I'm sure elsewhere as well, is that each and every president is a horses ass. The good thing about this one is that he is so obvious about it. The next one will be an ass. Bernie Sanders is an ass. Obama was an ass too. Bush was a bigger disaster than any of them. The problem is having a short term power seeker be such a fixation of our political system and in the media. Everybody thinks the world changes on whether or not their guy is in charge, but the difference between candidates, parties, and the resulting "change" is extremely superficial. It doesn't matter who is president. Bottom line, people need to stop begging entrenched ruling classes for change.

The Steam version is already patched and functional since they had to support it for the people who preordered, relaunch this game is as easy as flipping a switch, you bet your ass they gonna flip that switch the second the deal expires, they have DLC to sell.
That's correct, 365 days exactly, this and RDR2 are the only ones who released on Steam the very same second the deal ended.
I don't know what it's like i iOS, but the android app I feel is garbage. While security is always a plus for mobile apps, that's not the biggest issue with the steam app as it is now, so hopefully one day we'll get a redesign... then again we just got a new library layout after 14ish years.... im not holding my breath.
I managed to read the 3rd book in anticipation (in less than a month, so quick for me), so yes I will be picking this up at some point. This is truly the one game I was bothered by the publisher's deal.

I didn't call you or anyone else out by name because system warrior doesn't describe anyone here as far as I know. It was just a general notion of stuff that I see out there. So I feel like you may have read too much into my post if you though I was doing that. Sorry if it seemed like I was doing that, wasn't my intention at all.
I also backed Legend of Iya (which I mentioned earlier as well) but it's 7 years later I just can't seem to care enough to be upset about it anymore. If it comes out, great, but I wrote that money off several years ago. There are never any guarantees with KS and I sure have learned that with MN9, project phoenix and such.
Which is not to say Bado or anyone else gets a free pass for that, like I wouldn't trust him with another KS. But I'm not going to put him on some list of people I'll never support or anything of the sort. Just doesn't feel like it's worth my time to lend him another thought.

But after pulling Metro Exodus from Steam two weeks before release, and selling the Shenmue 3 backers to Epic, I can't possibly give my money to Deep Silver anymore. These actions go straight against my vision on treating your customers with respect. But I guess Deep Silver doesn't give a shit about that...
I was up for Metro but over the last year ive bought a ton of games so have plenty to play and to be honest my interest in it has faded. I also dont feel like paying full price for a year old game so it will be interesting to see where they price it. If its cheap i might get it but i suspect it will be one that goes on my list to buy in a year or twos time.
Just ordered Ori, really looking forward to it.

Yeah that 70k per day is mind boggling. It is interesting that steam reviews look useless at a glance because they're mostly drive-by and simplistic. Even the good reviews get buried. That approach doesn't exactly generate great literature, but it certainly lets public opinion evolve over time instead of the traditional approach of review on day 1 and abandon. I already own Metro Exodus on Steam. I had a weak moment last year when the exclusivity was announced, caved and bought it. Dont get me wrong, its a good game. But despite being very pretty, its not as much of a masterpiece as some people wanna play it. I enjoyed some of my time with it, but never finished it and never had intentions to go back to finish it. Plus, when I played it, I occasionally just had to think of how Deep Silver treated their costumers with the exclusivity and how that deal went down. I despise exclusivity in general, but how Epic did their deals was the bloody worst.
Anyway, if I didnt own it yet, I wouldnt bother, because I also, like Ge0force, dont wanna reward shitty behaviour / exclusivity deals. The only other exclusives I cared about are Control (which I most likely wont get either) and Other Worlds, which I played on GamePass (but also didnt keep me hooked for long, tbh)

Maybe should finally play the first ori before the second one comes out. Not really a fan of platformers though .
I am guilty of doing stupid reviews, but I base 99% of my purchasing off of reviews on Steam. I don't go to MetaCritic, and I damn sure stay away from most video game "journalism" sites. It is beyond rare I buy something with mixed reviews; I'll typically take a mixed review game (that I don't have) from a bundle, but I typically stay in the blue. Lastly, I don't have any negative games in my account.

I liked the first one, visually it was stunning. Great...i dont know what you call it...atmosphere...story...but i struggled with the actual gameplay. I think its because im getting old and couldnt really time all the jumping/buttons/shooting stuff. I did finish it but i felt like it was maybe a bit difficult for me.
Love that these games are being made though and hope the sequel does well.
It's a spectacular game. Very emotional and features one of my favorite video game soundtracks.
But yeah, like Joe Spangle said, it's a difficult game (not unreasonably so, à la Dark Souls or even Super Meat Boy... not at all).
Ori² already has a spot on my GotY ranking. :cool_dog: I have played it a bit during Paris Games Week, and it is exactly what I would want from a sequel of Ori.
