🏴‍☠️ Or buy the Blu-rays.

I dunno any Streaming services that focus on older stuff sadly.
Thanks. I’ll see if I can get the Blurays. Honestly is just to have a nostalgic trip, I remember watching it as a kid and it was a lot of fun, and I fucking love the opening.

I mean hey, maybe somebody else knows a service. Kvik talks about one for Aussie I've never heard of. For me I'm only subscribed to Hulu+ (since it works in America and Japan with little hassle.)

Beyond that I usually buy blu-rays for anything I can't stream. And heck I'll admit it, for old stuff to hard to find or obscure... :pirateblob:

NarohDethan , Patlabor is available for streaming on HIDIVE.

Looks like it's NA region only though, since it's being geoblocked in my region. You can also watch the OVA and movies as well.

I love Patlabor too (I even watched a few episodes last week), always good to see another boomer mecha anime fan around these parts. :dana_joy:

Eventually I'd like to get around to Patlabor myself. I have a great backlog of older anime which is basically why I've ignored so much newer stuff. The problem is anime sits on a priority list even lower than gaming for me. :(

Same. I’d like to watch more but I have to keep torturing myself with Apex Legends

With all the delays surrounding seasonals, catching up with anime backlog seems like the best course of action.

Hopefully, Galkyo and Yesterday wo Utatte will keep airing though, I watch these religiously. :dana_fear:

Time to get Into an anime again thats about an underdog fighting against overwhelming odds and always coming out on top thanks to the help of his ingenuity and friends, thats going to run for 8 seasons and really shits the bed in the last third

Anime is cancelled, RIP anime.
I expect everything that isn't already completely finished with production to end up being delayed eventually tbh.
Wonder how many seasons in total will be messed up until things return to relative normalcy, but it's fine my backlog is endless.

I accessed my crunchyroll account for the first time in years and had a lot of devices activated despite not owning said devices. Is that a bug or something? Nobody changed the password, made any payments, and there was nothing wrong with the viewing history

Finished with Dorohedoro last night. Such a bizarre, violent, chaotic yet excellent mushroom trip. Yet another great MAPPA project.

I'll pick up the manga next month, but this is going to cost me at 23 tankobon volumes. :dana_fear:

Dorohedoro is amazing and the anime is an excellent adaption - something I didn't expect tbh, but I'm glad I was wrong.
The Muschroom Doom ending is great lol.

We need a second season, the really weird and messed up stuff hasn't even started yet lmao.

For the new Ghost in the Shell series, is it recommended to catch up on SAC etc?

I've seen them before but it's been ages since I last saw them.

I'm sure this is some sort of sacrilege, but I've watched a random selection of 4 Ghibli movies so far from what's on Netflix and I have to say they haven't been all that impressive =/

FWIW, I've so far watched Spirited Away, The Wind Rises, My Neighbor Totoro, and My Neighbors the Yamadas

The best Ghibli movie is Grave of the Fireflies and I never want to see it again in my life.
Actually I forgot about this (probably cos it's not on Netflix for whatever reason?) and yes that is a great and traumatising movie ;_;

There's no such thing as a best ghibli movie, but I really loved The Castle in the Sky and Mononoke is incredibly powerful. Nausicaa is still my favorite, but Spirited Away really hits subtle notes for me.

Grave of the fireflies I could never get past the first third. Too much for my little heart :(.
