Yes, the game does detect the controller, but it only emulates the mouse movement, not a native controller support.

I hate emulating mouse with a controller.
I'm confused. The controller support I just experienced was exactly the same as what I remember the last 2 games having for a traditional controller (barring XCOM 2's initial launch).

I double checked with the forums before refunding, and yes people seem to have the same experience as me.

May I ask a question, for those who own Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite?
I skipped the game at launch, for various reasons.

I recently saw a comment about the game being removed very soon (don't worry, I don't think it's true, for now; there's been similar comments about the game's removal since 2018, and I believe Capcom usually warns people about the removal of a game, when licensing is about to expire), which reminded me I was yet to buy it.

Since the game is on sale, I bought:
-the deluxe edition of the game (which includes the Character Pass);
-the Premium Costume Pass;
-the 4 pre-order costumes, which are not included in the Pass above.

I'm I missing anything? I mean, I see the game has "In-App Purchases" listed, and in Street Fighter V, there is content that has to be purchased in-game, either with real currency or with virtual currency, or by doing weekly challenges.
Is there such a content in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite?

Im having trouble with FE Three Houses. Not because of the game it self, but playing it with a controller. I have played all turn based games on PC with kb/m and I also played turn based games like FE Awakening on my 3DS and FF Tactics on my Vita with no problems, but Three Houses with a controller is so...I don't know...icky? If the Switch just had kb/m compatibility with the game it would have been great.

I also long time ago tried XCOM 2 on my PS4 when I had Plus (was given away as a Plus game I think) and stopped playing after like 10 min or so as I didn't like it with a controller. But at least XCOM 2 is on PC. Three Houses is not.

Im gonna play some more, but if it doesn't get any better Im gonna drop it. I do hope it get's better as the game itself is great so far.

fantomena It's one of the good things that "spoils" us with the PC: freedom to use whatever controller method we want. :)
There are genres I only play with controllers, genres I only play with a kb/mouse, and then there are games where I might even mix both, since on the PC, we even have the possibility of using both at the same time (like, in an open world action game, we can use a controller to drive vehicles, and then quickly switch to kb/mouse for the shooting portions).

There are games I played on consoles, and struggled with, or didn't enjoy as much because I was "locked" to a controller, and then when I played these same games on PC, it feels like a different game.
It's not just FPSs or third-person shooters, any game where you have to aim at something, or in strategy games or turned-based RPGs, any game where you have to quickly access menus, it just feels so much better to use a kb/mouse combo. Or at least, have the option of using them.

FE three houses controls are not great, but I didn't have a huge issue with them either.

The texture filtering with absolutely no AF drove me nuts though (I haven't used no AF on PC since what, 2001?).

FE3H does have some control issues and the IQ has problems but I chalk it up to being a switch game and Nintendo knowing the franchise will sell no matter what.

I wish they made replaying it easier. I enjoyed my route through as Golden Deer but I don't want to spend tons of hours again to get to the second half where things diverge as a different house.

BIS's studio in Bratislava is no more. Management decided to shut down the studio after all leads and seniors resigned and left. Rest employees were fired. My friend who worked there told me that most of the developers joined David Durcak at the newly formed THQ studio in Bratislava, Nine Rocks Games.

A recent Glassdoor review also confirms this and indicates Bratislava might not be the last one to be shut down

Yeah, seriously, Luna does look great. I just spotted it yesterday. I wonder if I previously ignored it since it was VR related? Not sure. Regardless, it's on the wishlist and just hanging out in my cart. $1.50. :sweaty-blob:

I think it was VR only, I had added it to my Wishlist some time ago but I did not get it since I think it said it was VR only.
I'm not sure if they later on made it so it was not VR only anymore.

I ended up buying it right now because of how cheap it was.

I'd there anyway to look up wishlist data and when you originally added something or removed something?

When I launched the game it autopicked a mouse+WASD config for my xbox pad, but swapping it to gamepad template does the trick.

Dunno about those first 2 but I got luna and it being 1.50 is a good price.
The rule you gotta follow is
Is it in Tizoc's wishlist or library? If the answer is Yes then it is worth your money 90% of the time.

Strange because at least from what I recall about that game was seeing VR stuff. And that VR stuff was what stuck with me

You did good.
Lately majority of my purchases are
1. See gg.deals and show only Price>Historical Lowest, then arrange by lowest to highest price
2. Check what is $5 or less and buy that

I generally don't buy much lately which is good for me financially in a way, esp. due to bundles and upcoming sales.

Talking about cheap interesting looking games:

has very positive reviews and is just 40c.
Seems to be a boss-gauntlet type of game (with optional co-op).

I bought Final fantasy XII after the news that Denvuo had been removed and because i recently had a hankering to play XIII but after a few hours of it got a bit bored by the progression. Hoping XII is a bit more like my favourite FFs (X, VIII).

I'm progressing really fast in Daemon x Machina, in fact, once you understand the upgrade system, your Arsenal will progressively improve to the point that it almost feels illegal haha

Has anyone been checking the developer panels from the LudoNarraCon?
They have been fun, and informative (and made me buy a few more games). :giggle:

The current panel features 4 female developers, behind cool looking games like:


I tried the Solace State demo because I have it on wishlist, it's kind of empty right now and doesn't show much, but art is nice. Looks like a visual novel, with all that means about limited gameplay.

But it was just a demo, so I'm not jumping to any conclusion.

Played Chinatown Detective Agency Demo too


Pixel art point&click. I love the UI. Good story (in the demo), good voice acting, deserves a mention. I have high hopes for the release in 2021 if 2021 ever happens.

I'd also be interested in knowing this if the game is really getting delisted. I gotta say though, It's really frustrating when you basically have to conduct scientific research just so that you can figure out whether you're missing some content from the game you're purchasing or not. What kind of genius must you be to decide on selling your game in such convoluted way 🤔

Dragon Marked For Dead continues to leave a very good impression with me.
It looks and sounds like a classic side-scroller from the 16-bit era, and it plays wonderfully well. I can't stress enough how INTI CREATES managed to so successfully capture the mood of a game from the era. I previously thought they were at their best when "mimicking" an 8-bit era style (like with Mega Man 9, a personal favourite), but this game is top notch.

This one isn't your usual metroidvania, nor a level-based action title, though it has elements of both.
It's an action-RPG, like say, Diablo, but played in 2D, with platforming.

You have a hub town (with a very decent size; it takes you some time to go from one side to another), with stores for items and equipment, weapons (and upgrades), a black market dealer, a tavern where you select your missions, and plenty of NPCs to talk to, and some will give you new missions (that you can then select at the tavern). At the tavern, you select your mission, and off you go.
The missions take place in different maps, all of which are of a very decent size, with alternate paths, (...), so there's map exploration like in a metroidvania, but it's not a single connected map, since each location has it's map (and some missions are played in more than one).

There's an element of repetition that may not be to everyone's liking, in the sense that several missions take place in the same map, although usually in different parts of the map, with different objectives and enemies, and so on. Frankly, it doesn't bother me, since the gameplay is so much fun, and the missions are not extremely lengthy, especially one you know the maps. Plus, while it's still early on, I see that once I complete a mission, I unlock a higher-level variation of it (after you select a mission, another menu opens where you select the "character level" of it: 5, 10, ...), so the game expects you to want to replay the missions in higher levels/difficulties, either in SP or in CO-OP, because like with, say, Diablo, part of the appeal is about getting your character to the max level (100, I believe), and then doing the same with the other characters (which all play very differently; plus 2 of the characters need to be unlocked with your game progression), while always looking for better loot, and optimizing your load-out.
It's clear this is a game that isn't just about reaching the ending, but a game that your supposed to come back to, either alone or with friends (and yes, there are different endings if you complete the game with every character above a certain level, so again, the game expects you to come back to it).
So, it packs lots of options and variations, it has characters that play rather differently, and it's a lengthier experience than your usual 2D action platformer, which also kind of explains the higher price-tag.

Above all, it just feels "right", responsive, and a lot of fun.
I was playing a map that took part partially in a boat, part in a monsters' insides, with some lovely pixel art, and a wonderful soundtrack, and the game was almost capturing the mood of a classic Castlevania entry (a series I love), while the character I'm using, a Shinobi, frequently reminds me of Strider, and... the Shinobi series. It's a fast, furious, and projectile throwing maniac, which I'm loving to play as.

I know many people are unwilling to pay the asking price for a 2D title, with pixel art (I read similar comments about the upcoming Streets of Rage 4, because $25 for a beat'em up, even if it's highly replayable, is something many people are unwilling to do, since they perceive these "old school" genres as "cheaper", and not worth as much; shmups are on the same boat), and indeed Dragon Marked For Death has a higher pricetag than most titles in the genre available on Steam (although, to be fair, I paid more for some Mega Man ZX or Castlevania entries on the Nintendo DS ;)).
But, do consider giving the game a try when it's discounted. If you like the genre, if you like 16-bit action platformers, with some exploration, or the idea of a 2D action RPG, in a 16-bit style, with platforming, appeals to you, I'm sure you'll get some enjoyment out of this game.

I'm surprised by some of the devs that they were able to get to participate. I thought it was smaller (more indie?) Devs but they were also able to get some devs from some pretty big recent titles as well.


Also it sort of sucks how I didn't redeem the Kind Words Steam key that came with Humble Bundle. I thought that I did but I guess that I did not.
