Upon reflecting on it a bit, maybe not canceling humble choice is the way to go, but use it but never choosing the egs keys to send a message. But still if the bonus game is egs Im not sure, if comes of as "look here a treat for you!" but someone throwing shit at me, even as free, will never feel like a gift but more of an insult.
You know what: don't give it too much of an importance. :)
Have you realized that, outside of negative reactions to some of the crap they pull, and occasionally some comments about their free games, no one talks about the EGS?

I firmly believe that timmy and his buddies are actually craving for some sort of attention, even if negative, otherwise the store is completely ignored.
They paid a lot of money for exclusives, they went after crowdfunded games (especially after the negative reactions to the first title, Phoenix Point), they paid for a lot of banners, they pay a lot for streamers, they clearly ordered plenty of website articles that read like paid promotion (and they all sounded mostly the same), they gave away a lot of coupons, and they give away a lot of games.
What was the result?

So yeah, even if EGS games start going in these humbles, don't give it too much of an importance.
You know what I'll be doing: if future bundles indeed have EGS titles mixed-in (like previous bundles had keys for other platforms), I'll check if the monthly games that I want, and provide a Steam/GOG/DRM-Free download are worth it. If they are, I'll buy them. If not, I'll skip them. It's that simple.

I'm not about to let timmy boy affect me in such a way that I won't be taking part of a potentially good deal, just because somewhere mixed-in, there's a key or two for his joke of a store.

We are now 18 months or so since his store launched, I certainly haven't experienced any lack of great games to play (on the contrary).
So, give him, and his store, the importance they are worth: none. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:
And don't give him the negative publicity he so craves.

Durante You should just play Three Housesany Nintendo game on a decent emulator:

Yeah you are right, I shouldn't miss out on cheap games I want because of timmy. I shouldn't care and I'll try not to.:D

Considering uninstalling both Modern Warfare and Fortnite because they take a lot of space and I rarely ever play them. I mean, MW takes 160 GB and Fortnite takes over 75 gb.
If you are not playing them, go right ahead.

Unfortunately, after being on my hard-drive since launch, I had to uninstall HITMAN 2 recently (it was taking 160GB of space or so; my PC currently has a single SDD of 500GB, so I was unable to install anything new to play).
But, playing new games is worth it. ;)

Games are getting too big, aren't they?

Man, chapter 2 of CS3 is really hitting me in the feels. It's actually hard to put into words. So many memories just flooding in every step of the way, seeing it all fully realized in 3D so faithfully is amazing, meeting so many familiar faces... it's just fantastic.

Started replaying RE3 on hardcore, is it manageable without buying items from the shop?
I'm so glad they included Jill's Stars outfit in this.

Speaking of emulation, finished Shadow Hearts.
Yup, still good. Outside of a few annoying battles dragging on (or the ring minigames at the end - how the fuck did anyone get Yuri's best weapon without slowing down the game? Holy fuck).

Before starting Covenant, I think I'll play Wild Arms 5. never played it, and I do remember liking the weird combat of 4.

Also I finally fixed the broken textures on Ratchet and Jak, but it comes with some framerate troubles. The games don't drop frames, they gain extras everywhere and nothing works to limit them. Weird shit, but hey, it's playable with little issues at least.

Yo what so there are fixes for the eyes and missing textures for PS2 Jak 1 now?

X-Com Chimera Squad crashed during round 1 of a battle. No big deal, I thought, The game is very generously making auto saves.

WRONG

When I load the battle from any of the autosaves I no longer have mission objectives. So when I kill all enemies the rounds keep on going indefinitely.
And the last save before the battle is 5 hours of gameplay ago.

I hate shit like that. I seriously do.

Apparently yes!
But don't know if everything works 100%, it was just a quick glance. I think water is not quite right? But it's not a buggy mess with the right patches and options (case-by-case of course). The shadows are perfect now, which is a pretty big deal.

So, I've given Hitman 2 a try and

damn this is awesome.
I love how many different ways of doing your job you have, even if you only look at the challenges/mission stories the game gives you per mission.
I've only done the prologue so far and yet I've already played each of those missions at least twice because exploring and experimenting is so much fun and I'll likely play them a few times more before I even start with the Hitman 1 campaign, lol.

Add it to the pile of "I didn't really think this game was for me until I played it then it was awesome, thx Hamble" games.

Ooof. Crashes/Bugs that make you lose progress are the worst.
Hopefully they can patch it (the bug that causes you to no longer have mission objectives, I'd bet on them fixing that instead of replaying 5 hours..)

That sucks. Sounds like a game better played after a few weeks of patching.

I've had a few crashes in Chimera, one was reproducible. If all your soldiers are stunned or controlled via psionics the game crashes.

Alien Isolation for 2 bucks ($1.59 with Choice discount). I... actually don't own this.

Belief is irrelevant to facts.

And your belief? Your belief is entirely in-line with facts - Why else would Sweeney spend so much time fanning the flames of angry exclusivity mobs, why else would he outright be trolling those that speak out and / or are pissed off when they're pissed upon?

Everything Sweeney & Galyonkin (and a handful o' others including some devs) have done, said & the way they've handled this all is very much in the spirit of "Any press is good press"

I say fuck 'em, not worth our time, energy or money.

Vote with your wallets; support as many indies as you possibly can in whichever environment / ecosystem you like; there's no such thing as a must-play (especially when it's timed exclusivity!) and in the day and age of the modern indie boom.
Just played a bit of Sunless Skies out of the blue. The design is great, but the sound and music is amazing. Whoever's behind it, clap to you.
Thanks. It's some of my best work

:thinking-blob:
With Season Pass it comes to $7....
I'd contemplated getting it even though it isn't the kind of game I'd enjoy....

Question for those that have tried Wii emulation... So, can you play your original discs? What do you use as controller? How does that work?

You can rip your discs, but it's a colossal pain in the bum.
To play, you can indeed use your wiimote+nunchuk with a bit of fiddling, but it's usually easier to bind actions to buttons on a classic controller or similar. It's so, so much better than the garbage every other game forces you to use, like wiggling to attack in Mario Galaxy.

Well, i don't know if Maniac is actually involved but this is a track that kept me on the title screen of Sunless Sea for far too long, far too many times. Thanks.

So, i've started playing Chimera Squad on Expert Difficulty and it's really fun!!

Except

WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK IS THAT FIRST BOSS???

So, i have
1 Ronin
1 MEC
2 Cryssalids
1 Guardian
1 Purifier
1 Turret
1 Andromedon
1 Commando
1 Gatekeeper
The boss himself who is an extra strong Ronin

And i am supposed to defeat all that with 4 units???

During Charging i manage to take out the MEC and the Ronin (or any other two units, 3 if i go for the small ones)

Okay, i can rush to prevent the 2 Cryssalids and the Andromedon from spawning, but then i summon the Gatekeeper early and give the enemy a free turn instead, which is actually worse if i think about it.

Thank god i decided against an iron-man playthrough because this feels straight unfair.

But real talk man, i've now tried 10 times and didn't got anywhere close to winning, how is this supposed to be possible.
