Found them pretty fast by going on /v/ and /r/PS4 lol
Any link? I know what it shows (I think, someones death), but I wanna see the video or a gif of the video.

Edit: Found on /v/

Eh, it's no confirmation or anything regarding that character, but it's not looking good.

So uh, I paused Humble at the start of the month because the line-up was meh. Then they sent me a 3$ off coupon a few days ago, so I said fuck it and got it for Turok 2 and to give Hitman 2 to a friend. But now I'm noticing the purple blurb about the bonus game doesn't show up anymore. It does when I go on the website in private mode, though.

Any chances I somehow screwed myself out of getting it by pausing and unpausing? That would be a special kind of stupid...

The cutscene from /v/ is just one. There's around like 30+ minutes of leaked cutscenes and gameplay. Its pretty big. They all got removed so i'm just waiting for a reupload

Regarding the LudoNarraCon demos, for those that played any, can you please let me know what you played, and how long it took to complete it?

I have, like, 9 or 10 demos installed, and I need to "juggle" them in-between the games I'm playing, before the demos are gone. ;)

thanks

Nah. I paused and unpaused and the mystery box is still there on my subscription page.

Are you the composer of this ?

Absolutely not, I just wanted to troll Fanto. :')

Though Failbetter does indeed have some sublime music work. Top notch stuff.
Well, i don't know if Maniac is actually involved but this is a track that kept me on the title screen of Sunless Sea for far too long, far too many times. Thanks.

Well, see, I was gonna pull a quick funny bait n' switch but then I had to go out & forgot all about it. I've nothing of quality to my name, but as per above, concur that Failbetter created some brilliant stuff.

The purple blurb only shows up for me when I'm logged out as well. It's no biggie. Everyone who picked up this month will get it.

I do wonder what game it will be.
I kinda doubt it will be anything that special, otherwise they would have put it into the regular selection, but you never know.
But I don't really have any expectations.

It'll probably be a Humble published title, like Void Bastards.

Alright, cool. Weird that it doesn't show up for me but whatever, Guess I'll wait and see. Not that I expect to be blown away by the game, tbh.

What if you unpause again? They would not charge you a second time, right?
Not sure what you mean. I already unpaused and paid for this month. If I paused again, I'd just be pausing for the next month.

Good point.
Void Bastards was already in the Corona bundle though. I wonder if the "never bundled before" rule still applies for the mystery stuff :thinking-face:

LOL.

That Joel stuff is lame af.

Talk about generic, boilerplate storytelling.

I know and people are going wild. I fully expected that it would happen, so Im kinda dissapointed it did. :p
Wonder if the Sony Warriors will be salty over such a narrative misstep made by The Best Storytellers In The Industry (tm.), Naughty Dog.

I mean, if that spoiler is true and all.

That really sucks for ND and Sony.

The game got delayed so many times too it must be heartbreaking having to crunch so much and have your shit leaked like that.

I don't get why they even let testers or people from the outside see cutscenes b4 release. Devs themselves should easily be able test things like that.

Sony fanboys would often say that they didn't want a TLOU sequel because it would ruin it.

Guess they were right all along!

Good point.

Makes me wonder if the inside-job leak is fake as that seems like an easy way to get yourself black-balled in the industry.

Gears Tatics soon and I have barely touched Chimera Squad. Good lord. Deciding not to buy every game I want at launch is paying off.

^^^ Someone on Era said Twitter is reporting that the leak was from a disgruntled ND employee over a payment dispute.
Let's wait until we know more. Still, this has a degree of credibility given how much ND has squeezed and forced people in the trenches to crunch.

I had this awesome moment today on my second play-through. I was pinned down by an armored soldier. I opened the trunk hatch, crawled into the van, and finished him off while taking cover inside.

This is a neat little moment I really enjoy. Poking your head up an air duct in Chapter 7.

OK, LudoNarraCon demo #1 finished. :)

It was Paradise Killer.
The demo has quite a big amount of content, and a time-limit of 1h.

Well, what can I say about the game, other than it's completely bonkers!!!
It's a neon-coloured, open world adventure game, where exploration is rewarded, and whose story and texts seem like they were taken from one of Suda 51's earlier, more bizarre period games. And Flower, Sun and Rain also comes to mind, in terms of the look and "feel" of the game.
It also has some bits and pieces of gameplay that could have been taken from the Phoenix Wright series (from the investigative phases; maybe it will resemble the trials as well, when you finally accuse someone?), with the difference that you are not pixel hunting a 2D still, but exploring a big, 3D, world.

The writing may not appeal to everyone, with things being written in the least straight-forward, most cryptic, esoteric, way, since most of what the bizarre cast of characters says borders on the incoherent. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Personally, I love the sense of madness that permeates this game, mixed with an almost incoherent warm visual style, and a very catchy, very 80's, summery soundtrack.

This one has "cult game" written all over it.

I'm not even going to attempt to fully explain the storyline, but it goes something like this: in this "universe", there's experiments to create the perfect society, and as these experiments, "islands", fail, they are destroyed, and a new one is born; during the termination of island 24, and the birth of island 25, which is finally supposed to be "the perfect one", the council that gives birth to these islands is killed in brutal fashion, and it's up to you, an investigator that was condemned to exile for all of her immortal life, now returning to the "job" 3000 years later, to solve the case.

I think I managed to make it sound more straightforward than it actually is.
Do consider trying out the demo, and wishlisting the game, if it's something you think you might enjoy.

The game is supposed to come out in the summer, and it's the first game from Kaizen Game Works, who is lead by a former lead designer at Supermassive Games, that worked on titles like The Dark Pictures series, and Until Dawn.

Here are a few screenshots I took:

The devs mention the game is sort of weird like that since they wanted it to be that you could go straight to trail or something like that and even finish the whole thing in less than 2 hours if you wanted but things would not make sense.

It seems that they put in a lot of time/effort so that you could explore the world and finds things in any order that you want.

You can find an apple.

And that's basically it

Or
You could talk to someone and they will say that they like apples a lot and that they usually don't through them in the trash (because of compost or something) so you finding that apple would add that to your knowledge.

Which is something that other detective games do, but the difference being that you can interact with that object and take it with you(?) Compared to other games where it's just there.
I like the idea of how that works, it could lead to more playthroughs but it can also be a bit tiresome/confusing since you would not be finding all of the context.

This idea of being able to choose in any order and it effecting your in game knowledge and stuff like that is what I wish that some games like Octopatch Traveler did (but I'm guessing that it's a lot of work in order to be able to pull it off successfully).

------

I played the Gundam VS beta on PS4 (yay it didn't require PS+ but sadly the main game will though, I think)

The game is good, it's better than the Gundam Versus game (that Bandai would rather forget even exist and I know that people had issues with the last PS Vita game but I liked that one more that I liked the last PS4 game). One of the main difference is you get way more Mobile Suits (well sort of you get a lot more Gundams, but you can't really get the simple MS that grunts get in the Gundam Universe).

It took me a while to get use to the combat.

Online felt way better than the last PS4 game. With the last PS4 game there would be this issue when playing online with 4 players and I think that is why I would always play 1V1 (or actually I can't really remember, what I do recall is that when ever I would choose the option with the most players online the game would lag like crazy and I didn't like it, so I only played the game mode with the least amount of players. Maybe it was not 1v1 but rather 2v2 and 4v4 was where it was a nightmare??)

It took me a couple of online rounds but eventually I was able to win a match with my teammate. On a scale of 1-10 I would say I'm maybe a 3. I don't completely suck but I am also not very good either. In a 1v1 against a melee Gundam I'm decent.
---------

I still need to play through Naughty Dogs games. I don't want to judgement too harshly since I have not played them and since I know that a good amount of people hold those games up in very high regard.

And my sound system is now "top notch" I have set up my G560 speakers to my Xbox 360 and PS4 using a DAC that I purchased and you can feel the "boom" compared to my poop built in speakers that my Acer Predator X(you the the really popular one, that everyone now seems to have?)

So with these speakers and my monitor I have a cool entertainment system (?). So how is playing on a couch more comfortable again? To each their own but I still find that weird.

Speaking strictly of The Last of Us, the gameplay and production values themselves aren't bad, however, the narrative relied too much on scripted reactivity, which means that it has to follow the directors' vision almost exactly. It's a direct contrast when compared with immersive sims. For example, in one particular level, the player won't be able to progress unless a firefight is triggered. You can dispatch every single enemy in this level silently, but they will keep spawning until Joel is engaged in a firefight. While the narrative can be considered quite engaging, without freedom of reactivity for the players, I feel this game ultimately fall short of the accolades it supposedly deserves.

how would a Half Life game made by either Naughty Dog or say Kojima work? I just threw Kojima in there because of the Gabe and Kojima picture

I've heard the term immersive sim used before for games like System Shock but what exactly is a immersive sim. I likely have played one at one point but I likely called it something else.

Also for the Naughty Dog games should I just start off with the Uncharted games 1-4 and then play The Last of Us?

what exactly is a immersive sim.
The core tenet of an immersive sim is choice.

This would mean that the gameplay gives enough options to the player to complete the game objectives. It could be something small like a weapon which can be used in a multitude of ways, or larger such as manipulating the enemies' AI through stealth, violence or changing the environment to suit a specific playstyle. In a sense, this is mostly applicable to RPGs, but also not exclusive to them. You might've played Deus Ex, Prey (2017), Thief (1999-2004) or Dishonoured as the prime examples of these games. Sometimes these choices alter narrative as well which I think is one of the aspects that makes these kind of games truly shines.

Poor, poor, TLOU fans.

I haven't seen/read the leaks because I'm planning to play the game later. But all this issues surrounding the game would be very heartbreaking, especially for people who have been looking forward to it.
