40% of the 1,302 user reviews in the last 30 days are positive.
Artifact is on the verge of getting a "Mostly Negative" rating for "recent reviews".

All games are invited to participate in the sale event, and Lunar New Year discounts will not count towards the normal 8-week discount cooldown.
So, there is an 8-week discount cooldown for normal discounts.

Please remember that it is not possible to submit a discount within 30 days of the following: Releasing a game for the first time at full price OR the end of new release launch discount OR a price increase. This limitation applies to all discounts, including seasonal sale events.
Interesting.

Interesting.
There are other rules too:

Discounting (Steamworks Documentation)

Discounting Rules

You can run a launch discount, but once your launch discount ends, you cannot run any other discounts for 2 months.

It is not possible to discount your product for 30 days following a price increase.

Discounts cannot be run within 2 months of your prior discount, with the exception of Steam-wide seasonal events or other specific Valve-organized sale events.

Discounts for seasonal sale events cannot be run within 30 days of releasing your title or 30 days from when your launch discount ends.

You may not change your price while a promotion is live.

It is not possible to discount a product 100%.

Custom discounts cannot last longer than two weeks, or run for shorter than 1 day.

Finished Pikuniku. Those were a really enjoyable 3 hours. It's a very quirky and fun game. Like I said it feels a bit similar to Wuppo, only shorter.

I also just realized I have both Steamworld Dig games on Twitch. Now I know what I'll try out over the weekend.

I haven't been this excited to play games in a long time. I'm almost done with Sunset Overdrive (again); Hong Kong Massacre is begging for me to get to it (and I really like it); I snagged Hitman from Fanatical; Kingdom Come: Deliverance jumped into my cart at Humble; oh, I can't forget the plethora of goodies from the Steam Sale. What a time to be alive, have a full-time job, a wife, and a child...

The first explains a lot and the second one has get in my way a couple of times.

Also in general this explains why there are no more permanent discounted games, some indies really gamed the notifications this way.

If someone has this and doesn't want it, I will appreciate it.

did something new happen with Artifact recently?
I haven't been following the game at all recently, but just taking a cursory look at /r/Artifact, it seems like the remaining community is pretty unhappy.
  1. There's apparently an unconfirmed rumor via a Giant Bombcast email that Richard Garfield has moved on (presumably to his next project) and is no longer working with Valve.
  2. There's the same continued complaints about an imbalance in game modes and needs for ranking systems that have existed for months are still around.
  3. The lack of news and updates (especially regarding tournaments) is destroying what's left of the scene, and even the people involved in creating useful fan-sites are writing letters to Valve.
The game is in a terrible place. I hate the "Valve doesn't make games" meme that gets thrown around, especially since that nonsense is almost always said to deflect from important platform development Valve does. But the way they're handling this kind of does kind of make it seem like they don't quite remember how to read the market. The thing needs a drastic reboot.

I have said since they started to reveal the deteails, they didn't read the market al all.

A tcg that plays like a full boardgame but is still a random paywalled affair with a market that is only sustainable in usd because lol why will we use reginal pricing (and 3c rule minimum across the world would in the end tank even the american market)

Is Voidu legit? I keep seeing them mentioned recently and the prices seem good but I've never used them before.

Anyone outside of europe order RE2 on cdkeys? Can you confirm the key really was worldwide after all? Capcom's notorious for region locking and it's very annoying. I chose to go with GMG because I expected they would lock it but it was $5 cheaper on cdkeys >.<

They need to relaunch it as an LCG, which it should have been in the first place, and as individual card prices plummit it draws closer and closer to that anyway. That's clearly the kind of service they would be more comfortable providing, and it makes way more sense in the digital framework - but they also need to have actual plans in place for moving forward. Magic Arena is fantastic, for people craving the original thing, Hearthstone / Shadowverse are there for most everyone else. Artifact tried to be "Magic+" but failed in a number of ways.

I don't think it's even just "misreading the market", I think it's straight up a dumb business move to make at all in the current year to try and take only the most profit-centric parts of a complicated but controversial real world marketplace (Magic / CCGs) and tack that onto a game in a medium that both doesn't benefit from it and is increasingly critical (thankfully) of companies pushing gambling as a money making strategy.

An LCG model like L5R reboot or Netrunner could be fantastic in a digital world, with small sets released regularly and balance changes + different kinds of rulesets, tournaments, and for-fun modes to keep it fresh.

Are they already sending out keys?

I agree that some of it was plain bad business, but I do think they just plain misread the market of who the game is for.

Even if you relaunch the game as an LCG, I'm not sure that remotely saves it. The games biggest problem doesn't seem to necessarily be getting new players but retaining the ones they have (i.e., me a preorder purchaser). Maybe an LCG brings people back, but I really do think the base format of the game might be failing. The RNG and the longer game length, all of it makes for a hard experience to sell people on staying around for.

At the very least, they probably need to go to add ranked play, create way more interesting card types, take the competitive scene more seriously, and for goodness sakes, release a damn mobile client. The idea that a card game in the year 2019 doesn't have a mobile app is just idiotic beyond belief.

Since when I can't see the locked achivements of a game in my library?

#kill´emepic
Isn't that how it has been since just about forever?

You can get around it by viewing global achievement stats or comparing your achievements with another profile.

I've played an hour or so of Steamworld Dig and think I'm gonna leave it at that.
Made it to the 2nd zone and the game is just too repetitive for me, I don't really like the digging exploration and the upgrades haven't been that interesting either. There's basically not much of a story either, so I also don't have much motivation to push through at least for that. Dropped.

I've heard 2 is supposed to be vastly better than 1, so I might just give it a try.
