Insomnia, let's take a good look at the wishlist.
700 games, my life is in shambles, and I have 700 motherfucking items on a videogame wishlist.
...
Many agonizing decisions later.
Ok, 580+ is better but I have to do more. It's not a question of wahwah I may forget this and never play it stupid OCD idea at this point, I won't be able to play everything. So let's cull some more.

I have the feeling I'm not doing this sale thing right :anguished-face:

Is it worth it to get Rayman Legends if you played Rayman Origins? Am I wrong or is the sequel just prettier original levels + some new levels?

So far Outer Wilds and Battlefront 2, I don't know if I should wait for Tetris Effect and Control :/

Wait or ? Buy them elsewhere ? Buy other games and risk not having funds at the time of release ?

Do not look at the wishlist. Look at the store. ;)

You are not wrong. Still worth it imo, depending on how well you remember Origins. For instance, if you have just finished Origins, then do not.

I will have funds but probably won't have time if I add a lot to my backlog :blobweary:
WHAT A DILEMMA!

Reading r/oculus makes me think Valve did the right thing in making SteamVR an open platform, as in, even if you have an Oculus headset you are still fully supported by Steam.

Lots of recommendations and talk about which VR games to buy. Meaning a lot of Oculus users (like me) goes to Steam to buy VR games instead of Oculus Client so Valve also get the Oculus players.

Finally got my first Covenant 25 win in Monster Train. :coffee-blob: The run ended up being pretty weird too. Took a space and energy upgrade, only got 4 relics, and only had three stewards left by endgame. It was also the first time I got Deranged Brute to work, so that was fun. My Hornbreaker Prince was doing something like 413x3 by the time Seraph stepped into his car.

Getting here took 58 hours, so it's quite a bit easier than Slay the Spire, which I think took over 200 for my first A20 win. Really fun game, but I'm not sure if I'm going to bother trying to C25 with the other clans. It feels like getting better is going to depend on my willingness to make or look up spreadsheets detailing things like the exact number of rounds fights go and what types of spawn layouts are possible. It definitely feels like I could improve a ton, but I'm not sure it'd be all that fun to do. Still, amazing game. Best deckbuilder since StS.

Congrats!
Mind mentioning what upgrades you used for the Prince?

How is Life is Strange: Before the Storm?

's pretty good. In some parts I liked it more than the original, because it didnt have the supernatural stuff. It was just a deeply human, relatable story, well-told.

I never had this much, but I used every sale and demo-fest to remove stuff from my wishlist that I felt like I would not play anyway. I'm down to 38 now I think. :D

Sure if you award one of mine too!:)
Holding rewards for ransom, I should have expected nothing else from this den of Anime non-believer.

I friended you (how could we not already be friends ?) and will award as soon as possible.
Awarded Edward too.

What manner of sorcery is this :dizzy-face:

Yeah it surprises me sometimes that I'm not friends with someone on steam! Gave you an award too!:) Thanks!

Is this evaluation badge not upgradable ? It would surely multiply the number of reviews. Not that there is a lack of it.

I wonder why some games that have been in countless sales already are not discounted. Maybe they'll be in a bundle soonish?

These rewards are possible to use for more things, or only reviews? I've given some rewards, but only for reviews so far...

edit. oh, I see now that the reward thing can also be applied to screenshots

I really, really feel lost with all your talk of points, profiles and I feel like at some point I'll have stepped into a cyberpunk dystopia where you can't buy bread without obscure market manipulations involving gems and crafting badges.

Save me, Meta, what is going on?

There is a loyalty program. And "loyalty points" are another currency and source of uncertainty for the Steam Market meta-game.

For instance, this awesome profile background can be yours if you toss "loyalty" points to Gabe. Before that, it was costly to get a waifu background.

There are so many waifus:

Previously, these backgrounds were hard to get. Now, you can buy the game and have them instantly.

The summer sale introduced a (here to stay) points shop. It's basically a loyalty program where all your purchases on Steam give you points, which you can use on various things.

"Things" being mainly vanity stuff for profile customization or chat. Like animated avatars or avatar frames for your profile. The biggest change this brings that you can now also buy chat emojis or profile backgrounds with those points instead of having to buy them on the market or get them as a random reward for crafting a badge.

They've also added themes for your profile:

And well, if you play the Steam Market game, then I guess it's a huge upset and may or may not completely change the prices and "strategies" going forward.
