If you have £2 to spare and fancy a walking sim-ish detective story with some ( slightly annoying optional mini-games ) then i say give Cradle a go. I enjoyed it and was compelled by the unfolding story to finish it.

edit: There's a fair bit of backtracking, some of the "puzzles" are a bit simple, others are obtuse and the world is a bit large to explore given your slowish movement speed. I still enjoyed it for the atmosphere and unfolding story and background notes.

Well 2000 exp is closer to 99 either way!:)
But with only 2k exp, I'll be stuck at level 92 if I don't spend money to craft badges.

I love round numbers, but 99 is the exception for levels as it's like a level cap in RPGs.

It said I got an event card but it's not in my inventory :(
Me too. And when I check my badges page, it says I still have 1 card drop remaining.

Wait a second, now you can buy game items with points? I'm glad I already sold all the expensive ones.

I don't know, I find only some games in the menu and if I search in the market the only option is to buy them.

edit: ok you can, the filter didn't work the first time

Also, it wouldn't be a steam sale without me harping on about these bundles: Get 'em, they're great! ... and cheap!

Worth it for LiEat and Alicemare alone for eerie, RPGs with interesting stories and 1bit heart is a more complicated game with a different feel but is still fantastic. Can't wait for their next game. Hurry Up!

A bunch of RPG Maker adventures that are fairly linear but i love them. Pilgrim Academy is a much more sophisticated series of games than Pilgrim Adventures and shows how the dev has improved over time. The first Pilgrim Adventure is free. Give it a whirl.

Complete bundle:

UberMosh collection: Freaking £1.50! Get this bundle. Basically a twin-stick shooter template where each game is an experiment to a change or addition to the gameplay mechanics. Oh, super quick and each round is ~30 seconds. Go!

It seems people are still into cards. Either it is temporary, due to the sales which pushes them to buy cards to craft badges, or the gem market is not completely buried. I think people will want the badges at least.

That was to be expected but backgrounds you buy with points don't seem to be marketable lol. Oh well, it was only 200 points. I think I'm gonna list all my expensive ones just in case (had some nice Trails in the Sky ones I wanted to hold onto) and just rebuy them with points if they sell. :upside-down-face:

I just managed to sell a Persona one for like 60 cents within a few mins of listing it, so it looks like people are still buying.

I think I need to buy gems. I am running low and people buy cards from me at a good price.

The price has crashed from 0.40€ a few weeks ago to 0.34€, which is not too bad, and people will realize that they only get 1 card/day instead of 3, so bots will only be able to farm one third of the usual amount.

The issue is that there are already 12.5 K buy orders at 0.32€/sack. The price won't go below that threshold if the big actors who put a lot of buy orders do not remove them.

I will see how it looks tomorrow and make up my mind. It is hard to know whether people who used to buy expensive items will change their habits.

In the worst case scenario, only people interested in foil cards are okay paying a high price.

Finally got my first Covenant 25 win in Monster Train. :coffee-blob: The run ended up being pretty weird too. Took a space and energy upgrade, only got 4 relics, and only had three stewards left by endgame. It was also the first time I got Deranged Brute to work, so that was fun. My Hornbreaker Prince was doing something like 413x3 by the time Seraph stepped into his car.

Getting here took 58 hours, so it's quite a bit easier than Slay the Spire, which I think took over 200 for my first A20 win. Really fun game, but I'm not sure if I'm going to bother trying to C25 with the other clans. It feels like getting better is going to depend on my willingness to make or look up spreadsheets detailing things like the exact number of rounds fights go and what types of spawn layouts are possible. It definitely feels like I could improve a ton, but I'm not sure it'd be all that fun to do. Still, amazing game. Best deckbuilder since StS.

Really nice of 343 to discount the individual Halo add ons by a few bucks. Wasn't expecting that at all.

Also Cyberpunk looks really good but I still don't get why they are marketing the game so much. The 50 minute gameplay demo and all those trailers over the past 2 years has been more than enough. The delay announcement really take a toll on all this new footage and info dumps too. Expecting at least one more delay for it.

I'm lost at what to buy as well. Some good candidates:

  • YS VIII
  • The Surge 2
  • Resonance of Fate
  • Life is Strange 2 complete
  • Grim Dawn collection
  • Shadow of Tomb Raider
  • Ni No Kuni Remastered

I can get 2-3 of those or just one: MH World Iceborn.

Lots of variety. I guess, what are you itching to play most? Or what has a good discount and you think you'll beat before the winter seal? Or MH if you thinking more long term.

Can vouch for Grim Dawn if you are into that kind of ARPG (Titan Quest like), and Ni No Kuni was a treasure back in the console days.

Ys VIII is a fantastic game and the only downside was the state of the port, which is thankfully no longer an issue. :durante:

I haven't played The Surge 2 but I really enjoyed the first one. It's not perfect but it's a nice twist on the Souls formula and is pretty much the best non-FROM soulslike I've played.

Yeah, that's the main problem. I still have lots of games I want to play right now in my library lol.

If there's one game from that list that I want to play immediately, it's probably Grim Dawn as I want to try the Reign of Terror mod (I've already played the base game), while YS VIII and The Surge 2 are next on my list. ceborn is tempting, but I get a feeling it'll drop to 50% off soon like the base game.

Think you can save a little by getting the Grim Dawn DLC bundle, even if you own some parts of it. How is there not a UI mod to go along with the D2 mod tho? I need them health spheres!

Yeah, that's always the dilemma between story based stuff and ongoing games. I need to get back to so much stuff, yet I'm here burdening myself with more long games.

Sitting at €22 in my cart and looking through my wishlist for something around €8, but I can’t really find anything I really want to play. I really need to clean up my wishlist to get rid of the stuff that only seems mildly interesting.

I can certainly recommend Grim Dawn! Awesome Hack & Slash with a lot of variety and the DLCs have great additions in classes, abilities, quality of life improvements and settings.

Actually, I kinda want something similar to Grim Dawn to play right now... let's see what Steam suggests

I love Resonance of Fate. Story is mediocre, but the gameplay mechanics are unique and you can't find elsewhere. I also love the game having a good amount of cosmetic options for the three characters.
