To be fair, he is the hardest boss I fought in DS2, never finished it after 72 hours. What a chore >.>
I admit I had to google DS2 bosses because I couldn't remember half of them but this isn't true at all, even discarding the dlc.
Vanilla DS2 has Darklurker, Ancient Dragon and Veldstat. Also Smelter Demon if you're pure melee.
DLC has Fume Knight, Sihn and Sire Alonne.

Pursuer is hard the first time you meet him but I think he's actually a great character and an enjoyable fight each time you face one of them. The fact they show up multiple times throughout the game also makes sense lore-wise.

Everyone has their own hardest boss, probably :blobmorning2:
In DS2, Alonne was toughest for me. Also, nobody should be fighting Ancient Dragon ever :')
In DS3, I personally had most trouble with Sulyvahn, a mid-game boss!

Artorias is still the hardest boss for me. I 100% it and the remastered. 100% Bloodborne. 100% DS3. I dropped DeS because..I hated farming stuff, funny considering BB had the vials too.

Harder than Manus?
I think that is still the toughest boss in the series for me. It took me at least 20+ attempts and the boss run to him is a royal pain.

I enjoyed the DS2: Crown of the Sunken King DLC. One of the best Souls DLCs out there imo.
Yeah, I quite liked that one. Though I don’t know which of the three DS2 DLCs I prefer. They’re all pretty ace. Ivory King is also among my favorite boss fights. Such a visual spectacle.

Of the mandatory base DS3 bosses, I found Dancer to be more difficult than Sulyvahn or even Soul of Cinder but Nameless King is the overall hardest from the base game.
Yet none of them can hold a candle against Sister Friede or Midir... I still get cold sweats just thinking about them :sweaty-blob:

hmmmmm, didn't realise it was a roguelike. I'm iffy with roguelikes.
I'll give it a go obviously cos more Superhot for free but hype dampened a little there

Fuckin' hell Valve, I'm still sitting with unusable 50€ (pending) in my wallet, with no possibility of making use of the 5€ coupon.

I'm assuming the support response (in 2 weeks) will be all "well too bad".

Well, obviously too late now, but you can just start purchase process, get to payment phase and fail that and get extra 3 days to pay.

Now that I think of this, I wonder if making multiple failed purchases with coupon would've allowed to apply it to multiple purchases. Why didn't I think of this earlier...

Final damage:

Grow Home
Doom 64
Dirt 4
Bayonnetta
Deep Rock Galatic
Pixel Junk Shooter
Virgina
Quantum Conundrum
Please Don't Touch Anything

I've been eyeing Dirt 4, DRG, Pixel Junk, Quantum Conundrum, Bayonnetta for a while now. Everything else was spur of the moment.

Thank god for my new 2TB HDD.

So, would you guys recommend getting DS2 if I've already played SotS?

Besides that, I was randomly reminded of a brainwashing song from a certain game....

Guess the game!

Looks like Valve cancelled a bunch of projects because Source 2 was unfinished at the time.

But if they put out Alyx that means Source 2 is finished right? They did Artifact as well.

Maybe they can now restart some of those cancelled projects again. An open world L4D game sounds like a no brainer. A lot of potential there.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that but I bought some items with my credit card instead.

I just wish they weren't so ridiculously slow.

No, not really. SotS was important because it introduced 60fps to Souls on consoles. They took the chance to change up things for players who already played through the original, make it a bit harder etc. But it's not a different enough experience to play both imo. Same levels, different enemies, branch positions are different. Some things need to be played in different order, but in the end it's not a different game.

Aaand.. early reviews for The Wind Road are mixed (68%).

From what I've read, it looks like the game is capped at 1080p, which is baffling. There's also some issues with lock-on and controls, as well as bad menu designs, and bugs.

Sometimes I forget Game Freak actually makes other games. They haven't made anything super notable outside Pokemon right? Seems like they really depend on the brand or is this a Team B side project kind of thing?

Everything they made outside of Pokemon has been mediocre to disaster. And they've made plenty of them.

They pretty much make sub-mediocre games.
And Little Town Hero is seemingly outright trash.

But frankly, Pokémon has been a disaster in years and years so... they are maybe not the best company, on top of probably being the one with the most stressful pressure on their heads.

They hiked the regional pricing too, at least in India.

So, what is the consensus on Dark Souls 2 vs Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin?

I've only played DS2:SotS, so I have no frame of reference. Was SotS harder due to the enemy placement? Or easier? Did the change of placement of certain key items make the game easier or harder? 🤔

SOTFS is harder, more enemies in diferent placements.
Althought the difficulty levels out as you progress IMO.
