I hate the convoluted DLC mess for FH3. I own the Standard Edition and both Expansions, but I need to rebuy the game kinda with the Ultimate Edition, because the single DLCs the ultimate edition contains aren't discounted at all. And after that I would still have to buy other DLCs not included in the Ultimate Editon to really own all the DLC. They had a package that contained all DLC but that one got delisted quite some time ago... Sometimes you really have to hate Microsoft. On Steam you would probably get a "complete your collection bundle" and get a much better deal in the end...
Is there any comparison on what you get on each pack? What's not included in the ultimate edition?

Quoting someone else's post because I'm lazy:
Standard Edition gives you the base game.
Deluxe Edition gives you the base game, All Stars-Car Pack and VIP membership.
Ultimate Edition gives you the base game, All Stars-Car Pack, the Car Pass and VIP membership.

It is recommended if you want to collect as much content as possible without paying more, to buy the Ultimate Edition. However the Ultimate Edition does not give you everything.

Next you want the Expansion Pass, which is discounted and gives you the two major Expansions, Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels.

FInally, the Car Pass only gave you 7 of the released packs because that was all they planned to do but decided to do more. The Car Pass included the MotorSport All-Stars Pack, Smoking Tyre Pack, Alpinestars Pack, Logitech G Pack, Rockstar Energy Car Pack, Playseat Pack and Duracell Pack.

Meaning if you want the other Car Packs, (Porsche, Mountain Dew and Hoonigan) you need to buy them seperate.

TLDR: IF you want EVERYTHING, Buy Ultimate, Expansion Pass, Porsche Pack, Mountain Dew Pack and Hoonigan Pack.

It sucks about the beta thing..... Dang streamers abusing the system.... But then again I think some people were also abusing the system for Volorant .

I will be saving up my crowns then. Also I wonder if this means that the PS version will have first party PS game skins?

I keep flipping between loving and hating Kentucky Route Zero. It’s got a lot going for it but you really have to work for it. The pace of it is so slow at times that it’s almost imperceptible whether it’s moving forward or not.

Update on Bloodborne on PC :

"Since I probably won't be available for the whole August, here's an update about Bloodborne remaster:

1. There was another big playtest round of PC port in July to address issues that were found during previous QA tests.
2. All found critical bugs were fixed, online functionality is fully operational, the work on the port is almost finished.
3. Don't expect miracles with the framerate, anything above 60 FPS still causing a lot of issues and game will probably be capped at 60 FPS even on PC (though I'm sure modders will figure out how to remove it).
4. Sony wants to push Bloodborne remaster in PS5 launch window line-up, but stuff can still be moved to a later date. Regardless, I personally doubt it won't release in 2020 and it shouldn't take too long for the official reveal since the work on the remaster is more or less done.
5. The official announcement should be in the next few months, but it's hard to tell exactly when and how this will happen. Just like MS and Ubisoft did with their own events, Sony is also planning to host a few showcases before PS5 release, the closest one is the State of Play in August and it MIGHT show up here, but I have no solid evidence that it'll be announced here. I don't like that companies now prefer to hold reveals back instead of announcing everything in one big event (it's crazy that we still don't even know the XSX and PS5 prices), but unfortunately, I can't do anything about it.
6. Still undecided if it's going to be a free update or not for PS4 players who migrate to PS5, remaster includes all GOTY edition content with slightly improved performance and visuals, but nothing really new.

I'll repeat this again, you are free to choose what you want to believe, and it's completely fine if you won't trust me. I'm not making all this up for attention and views, I don't have time and energy to work on my channel right now anyway and provided this update only because people keep asking about any update on the news. This info about Bloodborne remaster is what I've been told by other people that in the past provided me with info about other unannounced games that were officially confirmed later, so I highly doubt that this time I've been lied to. And considering that the same sources told me a few weeks ago to not expect to see Elden Ring on a recent Xbox event and this is ended up being confirmed as well, I'm still going to believe them regarding BB PC stuff.

I know it can be frustrating that it takes so much time for an official reveal, but the coronavirus pandemic messed up a lot of things, including in the gaming industry. I mean, HZD was already in the playable state on PC by the beginning of 2020, but we are getting it only now (not just because of COVID-19 though, Guerilla decided to do additional work on PC version instead of simple direct port, but that's another story). So please be patient, Sony can announce Bloodborne remaster during one of the upcoming events or just drop it randomly as blogpost announcement, but this will eventually happen."

Be glad you didn't jump in when the first Episode was released... whew lads. I completely forgot that I needed to actually play through act V until I saw this post. ACT V RELEASED IN JANUARY.

Couldn't finish downloading Fall Guys on PS4 before I passed out after a day of frustration, rage and anxiety. Still loving Mass Effect Andromeda, now that I've got a hold on its somewhat bloated interface, crafting mechanics and the like. Playing as Sarah Ryder and making the moves on Liam, bc I like Liam's back story and he suggests movie nights. :sf_lovb:

Fall Guys tonight.

I just realized the first game I played with my xbox 1 controller was witcher 2 and the last game I played with it before it broke was witcher 3
How many hours did you play?!!!!!! Those things are tanks and a capital T.

Oh I played it back in like 2013 (fuck!), but I wasn't all that into it and wanted to wait anyway.
That I did.

Oh we waited. And waited. And waited and waited.........

Good thing I spent money on just act 1 and somehow ended up with access to all the following acts and a steam key at a low price. Fitting, as I basically bank rolled development of the following acts somewhat unknowingly as an early access purchaser... :/

Some controversy over the 'next gen' upgrade path and this game.

Apparently the base control for the PS4 and XB1 are NOT receiving any next gen upgrade but the next 'Ultimate Edition' is.

We'll start seeing more and more of this and I get people are annoyed but this is a business. You want next gen upgrade? PC people.

My plan was to go to the high seas for the AWE expansion, but I don't need to do that know. :)
Remedy doesn't deserve having their game stolen bc of a publisher decision.

Where did I write I was gonna steal it?

I went to the high seas last year with Control because I refused to buy it on EGS. Now I will give them my money via Steam.
Well you didn't say so and now you did. Which sucks.

This isn't necessarily me beating up on you, just a something that really really annoys me over the whole EGS thing. I can't make the leap to "EGS eggsult = now I can steal it bc they stole it from steam" or whatever. I've heard that a lot here and it sucks.

Props for re buying it though.

I honestly have very little sympathy towards bigger studios who claims an EGS moneybag, like Remedy/505, Gearbox, 2K, Deep Silver and so on.

I am way more understanding towards indie devs like House House (Goose Game), Kine dev, What The Golf etc. despite not really liking that they accepted the money.

Wait, so a publisher that screwed over some customers last year decided to screw over some customers this year too? I am shocked.
Ah, its more that people are assuming that they will get 'next gen upgrades' for free.... Which is kind of funny.

Games like Control, actual new IP AAA games, need all the help they can get these days. Just like Indies. Next gen is going to be back enough with project costs and I don't want any publisher to get another excuse as to not greenlight something new. Big studio, big expectations and big fat trigger fingers itching to dissolve talented studios over one or two missed 'milestones'.

EDIT: Of course, the anti EGS rage team is HERE!!!!

I really like this place but the anti egs shit is exhausting. Steam is stronger than ever, it isn't like you have to buy a new piece of under the television hardware to buy the game when it jumps stores, etc.

Didn't Remedy accept the new publishing deal with Epic? Why are people so eager to give them money when their future games won't see a steam release.

You are basically funding their next game which will be exclusive to EGS. Gonna wait for a deep deep discount b4 I bother.

Sure, but still there are companies who earns millions, probably billions in profit via mtx and so on, like Rockstar, who still accept moneyhats.

These companies keeps growing their profit and still accept moneyhats. All they want is more money and they don't care if they fuck over customers in the process.

Capitalism. Name a gaming company, one who sells a console, designs a graphics card, makes a game big enough to get ads on TV, where this ISNT the case. Small teams and passion projects? They're engaged with the community because they have to be to survive.

It's really simple, I fucking love Control aesthetic, I don't care about Remedy's deals (if it's on Steam, GOG or itch, I buy) and I'm not funding shit, and about the last part, we don't know how their publishing brand works so yeah, it may or may not come.

For 40€? I'm so fucking in, if you are not, fair enough, if you are in, enjoy it.:blobeyes::blobeyes:

Remedy doesn't deserve having their game stolen bc of a publisher decision.

So with PC and Steam you can upgrade sort of a thing and I wonder if that's why they are not doing it since it's just not really on option on consoles and there are also people that purchased it physically.

So what I mean is that even though people purchased the physical copy it's not like that can be "upgraded" to an ultimate edition. Digital copies maybe?

And it just make sense to upgrade the ultimate edition since that's the one that already has all the DLC.

Does this mean that even with the ultimate edition that PS4 will still have exclusive content?

have to agree with this.
I get it, we hate EGS (to varying degrees but nevertheless) but the attitude of “well I’m going to pirate it” is plain wrong, whether or not you get it later on steam, whether or not the revenue for copies is only going to Epic for a while, and whether or not they’re indie or AAA

we can discuss and critique the decisions behind taking the money hat and whether they’re right or wrong, we can gnash our teeth in frustration over it all, but none of it means it’s fair game to steal

Most forums would ban for that admission frankly and rightly so

It's not rage to point out that exclusivity deals are harmful and bullshit. It's not very nice paint people against EGS for that reason as some kind of immature gang. It's not about who is strong or not, it's about what's right.

On piracy, I have little issues with it and can understand it more than a little. People can call that stealing but in a world with shitty regional pricing and arbitrary restrictions, it's a counter-power that we are very, very lucky to have. I don't think piracy is always right, but when a game is priced 60$ when your monthly income is barely three times that, it becomes something that is hard to call immoral.

More to the point, if we are going to talk morality, this industry could use a lecture or two.
