If loading times are bad switch to DX12 mode. For some reason DX12 has to be launched by a different exe in the files but the game does a check and forces you to play DX11 on some PCβs. Theres a workaround though but I was playing on DX11 for like an hour before realizing there was DX12.Control is pretty great but the way the game sends you all the way back to the last control point every time you die is kind of obnoxious. Especially considering how long the loading times can be even on my SSD.![]()
create <path-to-game>\steam_appid.txt and write 870780within the file to be able to launch the game executables directly.

My HDD has really fast loading screens on DX12 but on 11 theyβre like 3 minutes long each.
Workaround if game is forcing you into DX11 from PCgamingwiki.
I'm a week late, but I just downloaded it and had similar issues. It's the first time I've had controller issues like that, so I checked and I see that the game has DS4 support built in. I don't know if that's the reason why it's being weird, but yeah...- I tried Battletoads on Game Pass.
Didn't detect my DS4.
- I used Glosc.
It still didn't detect it at first but after that t'was cool.
- Then the controls in the pause menu were for keyboard, and I had to push the LMB to validate the tutorials that said to hit Enter (while I'm using a pad, may I remind you).
- Then I died at the second boss form and respawned in an empty room with no way to advance.
There is definitely a lot to unpack here![]()
Interesting, thanks for the tip! I'll try that next time I play.
I used DX11 because the launcher says it's the recommended mode for most users and I figured DX12 was for ray-tracing only. My GPU technically supports driver-level ray-tracing but lol. Even Quake 2 was borderline unplayable at 720p. Control would run at like 3 frames per second if even that.
Historical low price for

Also Hayter taking funny jabs at Nolan North will never not be funny.
This is madness. Its now cheaper on wingamestore 22.79β¬ .Control price watch: Voidu has lowered the price further, making it β¬23,79 (with the 15% off 'ggdeals' coupon). We're almost in 50% off territory.
Mmmm. I love competition.

I have this crazy idea to play Wasteland 1 and 2 before buying 3. But I'm not sure Wasteland 1 is still enjoyable today. Did any of you played the original game lately?
Conflicted-Larry-David.gifDid you have a look at the remaster?

I debated getting this on Switch, but I'm in no hurry to play it(too many games in the queue), so I may just wait until it shows up on Steam.Just started Last Campfire this morning, delightfully charming little game so far![]()
Unfortunate that this in only on Nintendo 'Price more stable than gold' Switch. This is what true GOTY material looks like
I never play the original (I probably haven't born yet), and the remaster doesn't look appealing.I have this crazy idea to play Wasteland 1 and 2 before buying 3. But I'm not sure Wasteland 1 is still enjoyable today. Did any of you played the original game lately?

Well there is the remaster of Wasteland 1 from this year:There is enough lore, history, and mentioning of the things that happened in Wasteland 1 that it is not really needed to play it. Especially because the game is so old. I could still play Fallout 1/2 but not Wasteland 1.
I debated getting this on Switch, but I'm in no hurry to play it(too many games in the queue), so I may just wait until it shows up on Steam.
