Been looking at a new keyboard for some time. Tenkeyless this time since Will Smith mentioning how the num pad is often in the way it is now constantly in the way for me.

On the one hand it sucks that I need an ISO-DE layout because the options are rather limited and the ones I would want are not available in that layout. And I don’t feel capable building my own.

On the other hand it is good that I need an ISO-DE layout because I pro would spend to much money on keyboards.

There was this one game that I played and it talked about how video games are addictive and how porn/sex is also addictive and how combining both could be harmful. And maybe that game was right after all.

Getting into custom keyboards can get pretty expensive, but it's a fun hobby. I look forward to being able to put together my Jules. Hopefully before next year.

Re: Control I think the only time thus far I've bothered to use the shield was one specific encounter in a moldy area. Trying not to be too spoilery about that, but those that have done it will know what I mean. I'm sure it isn't needed there, but I found it immensely helpful to get through the last little bit of that encounter. There was a lot going on in that one.

But in general I feel like its totally useless. Just throw things at everything and hover around and repeat. No reason to engage with the other powers unless you want to goof off. The mind control power is not really useful until you upgrade it a bunch and instead of that you could just upgrade the damage of launch even more.

On another note, since i started using TKL Keyboards i've found that my RSI symptoms have decreased massively. I prefer true Ten-Keyless Keyboards where the cursor and home/end block is removed ( 10 Keys ) so you still have a Numpad but the keyboard is narrower giving me better arm posture which has lowered fatigue and aches/pains etc.

My home keyboard is a CoolerMaster Storm QuickFire TK, ISO-UK ( Big Fat Enter Key FTW! ) with Numpad but no Cursor block. At work i use a CoolerMaster NovaTouch TKL which has No Numpad but has the Cursor Block again ISO-UK for the big fat enter key. None of that ANSI Slim Enter Key rubbish for me, thankyouverymuch.

Find a keyboard you like and look at the CTRL/Win/ALT key sizes too, Some keyboards drive me mad because those keys are the "wrong" sizes. Little things but when i'm using it 7 hours a day/5 days a week if it's "off" then it can get really annoying.

You can enable your onboard graphics from your Bios and see if that works.

This isn't accurate. You get 1 ability point for each "hidden area" you come across.

I'm about 15 hours-ish into Control so far and I'm absolutely loving it. Most fun I've been having with a game in quite a while, and I felt like I've played some excellent games this year. For me the gameplay is super fun, even if I'm mostly just alternating between throwing shit, guns, and flying. Controls are splendid and easy to grasp. Visually it is out of this world and the best looking game I've ever played. The environment, the setting, the story and backstory, the audio... everything is lining up for me, this is a fantastic game. I can't get enough so far


EDIT: your post does remind me that I still need to play Prey. I've really only played the very beginning for about an hour or two and just got caught up in other games and never went back.

Also in regards to the game I think that there was this one issue were people were accusing the devs of stealing assets from another indie game. In a way it makes sense why some would think that since one of the devs of the gams has mentioned the benefit of not having to relate assets for games and just buying them online instead. I don't have a link to the article anymore but it did mention a lot about one of the devs and how when a lot of other people his age back in the early 2000s were playing on stuff like PlayStation he was playing games on PC like Caravan and other free to play online games that you could download from a site that ASCII.JP operated. The dude originally started off as a web dev before deciding to become a game devs (for money reasons) and joined a Nintendo game dev seminar (internship?) And gave up just because he thought it was too difficult (which is a bit worrying for Crafttopia since it does seem like if stuff is too hard or something that he quits) and that he was just not nearly as good as his colleagues. He would end up getting hired by JP Morgan to work on their site, After that he ending up starting this one site with some other people called story.jp (or something like that) that was a Japanese version of LinkedIn but with video and stuff(??) Were you would mention stuff about your life and experiences that you normally would not put down in a resume (Japanese Resume are different from western resumes/CVs is what I've heard about before). After that he ended up working on some other sites and stuff because by this time it was early 2010 or so and you already has stuff like the iPhone 3Gs out and about and having to have online stuff adapted for this. I can't remember what the article mentions after that other than the devs mentioning that you no longer need to make your own assets for games and that you can just buy them instead from an online store. I think he also mentions mobage and about choosing between working for GREE or DENA.


By the way the other game that the dev team released on steam sold over 55k copies.

About Outer Worlds I just realized the other day that the DLC shouldn't be free on Game Pass. I liked my time with the game, it was awfully mediocre but I liked it. Now buying the whole game for a dlc or buying the dlc alone with the GP version (which feel so very wrong), it's another matter entirely

You got some of the dates mixed up. John Wick is October and What the Golf is September.

I'm not expecting Sony to bring any of their PS5-era games to PC. I fully expect (and our Queen claimed several are on the way) PS4-era exclusives to come to PC in the future.

It took them a while to realize that. Glad it's changing.

Still, I think Sony will keep whatever games they have cooking up right now exclusive to the PS5. Bringing graphically enhanced PS4-era games allows Sony to have their cake and eat it too. No competition with the PS5 + PC sales.

It's a solid strategy honestly. There are many games from their PS4 catalogue that could do great on PC.

We don't know when any further game will be announced. Could be 6 months, could be a year from now. But if God of War and Bloodborne are nearly done on PC (imagine writing that sentence) then I wonder what's the holdup.

Yup. Lots of potential to extract more sales from these games.

Even if they ignore their next-gen stuff, which is fine since they've got a huge back catalogue to exploit first, Sony can make bank on their first party PS4 and earlier games by releasing them on PC. It also lays the foundation for them being on a more neutral and readily-available platform for their future cloud streaming endeavours, which I imagine is a large part of the thinking here.

I just hope they look a little further back than the last 7 years with their ports - I'd like to see stuff stretching back to the PSone era finding a home on PC.

Well, it's that time of the week again but this time a bit different, I wanted to change the visual aspect of the weekly chart so I did this little visual representation for both blue bird and MC

Let's see, observations for this week.

Fall Guys still a juggernaut and doesn't seem to be going down anytime soon, makes me happy to see such a joyful game being that successful.

Crusader Kings 3 is the winner of this week, not 1, not 2 but 4 places in the top chart, holy smokes, that's A LOT OF places.

Among Us still strong but going down at a slow pace, popularity is going down too but is still in a very good point of players.

Avengers had a quite well debut, in terms of CCU I will talk after the chart but in terms of pre-purchases and deluxe/standard version reception has been interesting, 2 places for the game.

Craftopia is an interesting one because it's BOTWxFactorio and while it's an Early Access it made into the top 10 this week.

Control holds up in this week's top seller list but it dropped from second to ninth place, it was a very hard week for it tho as CK3 got most of the attention but is doing well, CCU count will be posted too after this.

What do you think about the new design? way better than the classic list but, still, feedback is appreciated.

CCU counts for Avengers and Control compared to the last games of their respective developers (from higher to lower)

Avengers is third biggest release out of four games for Crytal Dynamics, not that far from Shadow of the Tomb Raider but hasn't caught it up (yet?)

Control on the other side is the biggest Remedy release, even tho it says "a minute ago" the picture was taken a few days ago but CCU peak hasn't been surpassed so still applies.

They'll never do that. If a PC version of any game is supposed to be revealed, it'll be mentioned in a separate PR piece after the event ends and/or at a different time. Definitely not in their live event/trailer.
