AAAA is real.
It is always fun to see how the industry comes up with dumb terms and the fanboys eating that shit up
Lol what is it with Ubisoft and the needless self-aggrandizing? Triple-A and open-world aren't good enough for them, now it's QUADRUPLE-A and open-UNIVERSE!

I really hope they go as hard on these as they did with "iconic" and get mocked relentlessly again.

AAAA is real.
No idea what Ubi is smoking again, but they hardly managed to make AAA games this generation. Let alone managed to create anything real impactful that people will remember for decades. Would one Ubi game make it into a top ten best games this generation list? I doubt it.

Must be the same kind of fever that EA had with Anthem. Calling that "project Dylan". 🤪
But AAAA is of course a nice way to sooth share holders because budget is out of control.

About that Cyberpunk microtransaction thing: statistically speaking, aren't most people who spend money on microtransactions relatively "happy" about it? Unless you spend a big amount of money on gacha systems/loot boxes and get nothing I suppose. But I think the average person who knows what they're buying will be relatively happy with their purchase I think.

It doesn't resemble the first game anyway.
That's the worst part. In a world where that old teaser video exists of Jade and Pey'j at the diner/shanty town, the game we're getting stars a space monkey and his human girlfriend? Give me a shitty looking, but mechanically fun game over 'AAAA' or whatever new buzzterm they're going to try with any day

Can someone tell me the differences betweeen A, AA, AAA, and the new AAAA games?
It's mainly about a game's budget and also its feeling to a certain extent.

A doesn't really function, it's covered by "indie".
AA is something that has higher production value than average indie game.
AAA is standard big budget game from big publishers.
AAAA is supposed to be the next step. Will probably just mean more money blown on marketing and visuals.

There aren't any official definitions for the terms. Some (including me) argue that the game's price point is also important in deciding where the game fits (i.e. you can't price your game at $60 and excuse all its problems with "it's only indie/AA").

The feeling comes in the play mostly in the AA/AAA category, because some games, despite having relatively high budgets and big publishers behind them, still feel more like an indie game. Games from Japanese publishers often end up on a fence like that.

A is probably for indie games, while AA covers a lot of mid-tier stuff like Hellblade, Recore, Desperados III, Planet Coaster, Plague Tale Innocent, Eurojank RPGs, most Japanese games and RPGs, and many more. They're mostly priced at $40-$60, depending on the scale and publisher.

AAAA is as much nonsense as AAA, it's just a term someone came up. I mean AAA+ also exists. And III. It's all stupid.

I finished Alan Wake.
You know what I really dislike in games? When they find super convenient ways to rid you of your tools/weapons and such between story break points. And then you end up finding conveniently places weapons in the world to replace the old ones you just lost?

At least in Alan Wake there's kind of sort of fun twist to that because of the way the story works.

Are anyone elses browser notifications bugged? Don't seem to work for me at all in Firefox and in Chrome they only work sporadically. So weird.

CK3 sucks me in very time I start playing it. Just started a regular game on normal difficulty with iron man after having played 4 hours with the tutorial.
Got sucked in completely into CK3 yesterday as well...and I dont even have a clue what I'm doing. Grand strategy is way too complex for me and absolutely not my bag, but I really enjoyed CK3 so far.

I wish liberty faction from Palmyra would stop revolting all the time. The worst thing is whenever they rise up, all the cheap mercs are already contracted and I can only afford one ~1k contract which usually runs out before I can decimate the uprising completely. I was also extremely close to creating an Orthodox Holy Order, but my ruler died about a month too soon and now I need to rack up piety again.

Got to hand it to MS hardware team...That Series S looks so good and so small. I think it looks better than the X.

Impressive af for what is supposed to be a 144op machine.

Pretty sure you can fit like 6 of them inside the PS5 lol.

Huh, they actually made it official. I wonder if it will become popular due to the low price and if it (the number of buyers) will influence how many/what quality games Game Pass gets. Could also influence prices of the low-end GPUs.
Pardon my ignorance but what console is this? I thought the series X was their newest box... Where does this fall in the scale of current gen/next gen and horsepower?
