Edge is critical like Famitsu is critical: capricious. I'm all for critics being critics but I wish they'd stop slapping numeric scores on things.Spelunky 2 got a 9/10 from Edge which is a magazine known for being notoriously critical.

I do offer my services for remote play to anyone interested though! It'd be a pleasure to show the Spelunky love for those scared of its difficulty.

That depends. Which boss you are talking about? Olmec?... or the real bossEh, I dropped the game at the final boss
The mofo insta-killing me was a big nope, the runs were hard enough
I will not accept this Herasey, /sWhat's the context? I mean in 1995 or 1996 the graphics were fantastic. In 1998, there was no comparing something like Unreal to PS1... Although I thought MGS1 was amazingly stylish and still looked great upon release in its way AFTER playing Unreal and Half Life (cough ahem).
Olmec, you cruel taunterThat depends. Which boss you are talking about? Olmec?... or the real boss
I am going to go back and check at some point since I played it on my PS VitaMGS did support the dual shock afaik (edit: most definitely did, dat torture scene). Not that it changes much but yeah, you said you want analog control, it has it.
This has nothing to do with gaming but since we're recommending subs
Cliffy B in this interview (the full version of it) goes from hilarious "ok boomer" stuff ("kids nowadays only know of two games!!!!") to seem like a depressingly bitter person spouting a lot of obvious stuff. To complete the picture, the idiots at 3D Realms laughed at him after the interview. This video is interesting but ya Cliffy B does seem to be butt hurt though.
Yes, connecting directly via IP or via Steam didn't work at all. Even port forwarding didn't work.Hamachi? I haven't heard that in a long time. Is the built-in online broken?
This.I couldn't really get into Spelunky despite trying it quite a few times. Just not for me.
oh well that's not good, I mean there were some things here and there that he said that painted a picture of who he was and what his goals were (sort of), him wanting to surpass John Remero (All I know is that John was involved with iD and DOOM and well the way that Cliffy explained John, just makes john sound really cool). He also talks about how some things have changed (which a lot of people already know and he does sound like a broken record at times)Cliffy B in this video goes from hilarious "ok boomer" stuff ("kids nowadays only know of two games!!!!") to seem like a depressingly bitter person spouting a lot of obvious stuff. Various PSOne models still look good IMO. yes there is the curse of early 3D, but even then there is a nice charm to their look.I think it's a pretty revisionist take, at the time it was fine IIRC. Just the curse of early 3d. Ages like solid shit.
On the other hand I have 1:30:00 give or take to know if I want to give money to a bunch of assholes, at the very least (Ion Fury). I'm not the most woke person there is, but their little drama left a sour taste.
It's annoying, it's one of the boomer shooters that interests me the most. I'm far more Doom than Quake, but I'm also more Duke Nukem than Quake.
I legit had to look up what card that is XPWon the first run I tried with the Shardtail Queen in Monster Train! It was the first time I found Imps to feel useful for me, and also the first time I felt like I could pick up the Consumer of Crowns which was great with 2 of them with multistirke.
Also 'place your controller on the ground - I'll make it move with my mind!'MGS did support the dual shock afaik (edit: most definitely did, dat torture scene). Not that it changes much but yeah, you said you want analog control, it has it.
Normal in Polish municipal offices for sure. I've seen it with my own eyes and that was in 2019, not 2015Was it normal for people to still be using Windows XP in 2015?
Man I can tell I'd have a lot to say about his interview.

I remember those articles. Just as silly then as it is now, Epic should take notes.Very random news from a decade ago:
PC Download Stores Arguing Over Who Comes After Steam
Stardock's claim that it holds 10% of the PC digital download market have been shrugged off by two of the company's main competitors, Direct2Drive and GamersGate.kotaku.com
I really enjoyed this little exchange between Anti9take and Left_Hegelian on the theory of fascist tendencies in Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai - Tensai-tachi no Ren'ai Zunōsen
Hey anyone help me with game swap/trading? (I've never done it)
I know there is a subreddit and some websites, but I have no clue which are trustworthy or how to approach.
Actually Digimon Cyberslueth was on sale on some sites, and I was hoping to swap it with some steam keys I had.
Tweet him asking if it's true that Supernao loves Facet, that's a nice ice-breaker and all.
Pretty interesting concept in theory. The article is worth reading.
Do we have Simon Carles as a user on MC? He does really good articles.
Super hyped for this. Had a ton of fun speedrunning Spark 2 trying to get those diamond medals. Everything about it looks like a step up so far.
Doesn't EGS already do something like this with creator codes? I would imagine that most that use it do it for Fortnite but do they also use it for the other games on there? So in a way this would be similar to that part but the addition would also be that this way you have a place to go to know what is recommend by the person and stuff like that. How would Epic keys work (since the cut that the store is getting from epic to begin with is already small and this way it will be even smaller, or maybe this is where the 7% comes from? How big a cut does epic take again? Was it 22% or 18% or something? ) and im guessing that EA and Ubisoft may be not okay with this idea?

Yeah, Forager is addictingThis Humble Choice is really good, huh? I can't get enough of Forager and Lethal League Blaze.
I think to some extent the "one-game-audience" idea goes even further than that, and can include games most people wouldn't call mainstream or casual. As one example, I'm pretty sure (only anecdotally of course, but still) that there are lots of people out there who basically only play Civilization. Not as many as CoD etc. of course, but that's a one-game or one-franchise audience in a "core" game that has potentially been around for decades. But we always had that one-games audience. I would say in America it started with Madden (like the first one). In Japan Tokimeki Memorial. Over time it was Wii Sports, it was Wii Fit, it was & is Call of Duty, someone coined the term 'core' gamers, now it's Fortnite. That is the vast majority of the games industry now.
Yep, and other clear audiences that are still niche is the sim racing community, the flight sim community.I think to some extent the "one-game-audience" idea goes even further than that, and can include games most people wouldn't call mainstream or casual. MP-only, so it doesn't bother me either way."Well, we're never aggressive towards our fans!" he said. "We treat them fairly and we're friendly. So of course not--we won't be aggressive--but you can expect great things to be bought. The goal is to design monetization in a way that makes people happy to spend money. I'm not trying to be cynical or hide something; it's about creating a feeling of value."
I also started thinking about what will appear on my list by the end of the year and while I still don't know which position they are going to be those are the I liked the most this year:Didn't think I would get enough new games played to even get a GOTY list for this year, but here the one I have now! Granted still playing Wasteland 3 and loving it, don't think it will fall down the list.
1. Wasteland 3
2. Persona 4 Golden
3. Borderlands 3
4. Risk of Rain 2
5. Minecraft Dungeons
I wish SEGA could release a collection of these old arcade games it just make sense, but SEGA gonna SEGA.If anything, SEGA's Model 3 arcade games were ahead of their time, and I was blown away by Virtua Fighter 3 which was made in 1996!

Nice!
indeed, looks pretty cool!Nice!
Over here i'd say there's a huge number of people who only play PES/FIFA but for a "Niche" genre and stretching back to the old days Championship Manager/Football Manager instantly spring to mind. I suppose you could put the Out of the Park (OotP) Baseball Management franchise in there too.Yep, and other clear audiences that are still niche is the sim racing community, the flight sim community.
