Bankruptcy is preferable to the shame of putting a game on sale.I'm convinced Koei Tecmo would rather die than put their games on sale.
I guess we have to wait and see...but it means that unpausing wont bill you 12 dollars for the current month, am I right?
My biggest concern so far has always been my personal taste for games in general. I see a lot of great games in every Humble Choice month bundle but I know they are not for me and at max theres usually like 2 on my wishlist. If I could be giving a pause option I would definitely bite on the offer but I don't really like "paying blind" in advance, generally speaking.Yeah I noticed that after posting.
I'm still thinking about it tbh, even if I'm forced to get all 6 in a row, liking them or not. It's ~4.5€/month, so 27€, which is roughly 3 full price monthlies. If you consider that you'll get those 3 monthlies in the span of those 6 months. the other months are basically free and there's a significant probability they'll have at least 1 or 2 games that will interest you.
Need to think a bit more.
I will probably bite on Starcrawlers. I had Legrand Legacy on my wishlist but removed it because I believe I wouldnt enjoy it after reading reviews. That was a few months ago.So I dunno what to buy. Anyone got recommendations for a metroidvania or a dungeon crawler that is maybe a bit less claustrophobic than usual? Maybe lesser known too, since I've played a lot of shit.
Speaking of, any thoughts on Starcrawlers?
And weebros, Legrand Legacy at 1.67€ , yay or nay?
Thanks for clarifying to me these whole small details and circumstances given the great deal offered.I don't know if it was only me but the wording on the humble offer was weird. After digging around a bit it seems the rules are the following:
Basically this all means that if you want the current bundle you can get it for 6$. If you don't like January's bundle you can cancel and it won't charge you extra for it.
- You pay 6$/month for 6 months. After those 6 months are over, if you remain subscribed, you'll pay the full premium plan price (22$ iirc);
- The billing is month-to-month, you don't pay for the whole 6 months right now, you'll only pay 6$ for this month's games. If you want to keep January's games you'll pay 6$ then and so on;
- If you pause or cancel you lose the 6$/month deal and will resubscribe at 22$. For instance, if you get December bundle for 6$ and pause January, the February one will cost you 22$.
Since I don't want to lose my classic plan, I'll just use a dummy account to take advantage of this promotion to get the current monthly and wait for January to see if I keep this second subscription or cancel it.
Good reminder !Should I buy the Children of Morta Paws & Claws DLC where the proceeds go to charity to help cats and dogs? Yeah, that seems like ... like a good ... it's not on sale? I can't be expected to give to charity unless I get at least 30% off.
This also seems like it doesn't work for people on classic plans since it's considered a premium plan deal.I don't know if it was only me but the wording on the humble offer was weird. After digging around a bit it seems the rules are the following:

Just a small correction, this isn't a "new subscriber" only deal. You can get the deal even if you're a returning customer but you won't get it if you're already subscribed for any plan (even if it is paused) - hence why people on the classic plan can't get it.This also seems like it doesn't work for people on classic plans since it's considered a premium plan deal.
How difficult is it to just give a discount and let people add on months to their existing plans? All these "new subscriber" only deals and lock you in no pausing while canceling your grandfathered plan is just wack.
Are you sure that it is not simpler? I would expect that people who have already subscribed for this month (December) cannot get in, because the coupon expires before the January bundle is revealed. I know I lost a coupon this way a few months ago.you won't get it if you're already subscribed for any plan (even if it is paused)
For metroidvania you should check SupralandAnyone got recommendations for a metroidvania or a dungeon crawler that is maybe a bit less claustrophobic than usual?

Please join me in rejecting this terrible deal:
Sales are frequent and prices only go down. I’d say wait until you have your PC situation settled.Hmh now I have this problem, not sure what to buy or even if I should buy at all. I have 14 months of game pass and whenever I want to game I'll do it on my Xbox. So if I would buy anything now it would be for future pc. Hmmmmh.
But I am eyeing that doraemon story of seasons game and I would probably play that.
Save the cash and spend it on building your PC rather than buying more and more games that you don't even have a device for. You just bought an Xbox and a whole bunch of Game Pass so I'd just enjoy that for now. You never know, some of the ones you buy may roll into Game Pass over the next 14 months.Hmh now I have this problem, not sure what to buy or even if I should buy at all. Notable historical lows (inclu. packages/bundles) on Steam Winter sale ?
my condolencesWell, I won Rune II on SteamGifts.
I still hadn't paid this month's fee and I couldn't get it because it said I was already subscribed.ASF plugin for Steam Winter Sale 2020
I'm happy to announce that this sale also offers additional card drops for everybody interested. As a token of appreciation for all my supporters, I've sent them a custom ASF plugin, which extends default functionality by also randomly voting in Steam Awards.. Normally I should end it at this...steamcommunity.com

The preview is 60-80% cpu load.The seasonal profile is absolutely beautiful.
I understand that. I just meant the other deals they've given out over the years. "$99 for Humble Choice for a year." That's pretty good. "New subscribers only."Just a small correction, this isn't a "new subscriber" only deal. Yeah it's weird and I can't make much sense of it besides them trying to get people to cancel they classic plans.
worth every penny. everyone should play this.
Steamdb if you are lucky and can log in through OpenID. Their sales pages have a filter option for "DLC for owned games".Is there a page or such where I could see what games i own have their dlcs discounted?
Besides the wishlist i mean.

Not true! There's one post about it on the game's Steam forum:New Super Meat Boy was just released and ther is like 0 talk about it anywhere.
Of course there are people playing it, on switchPfff, I'm sure there are dozens of people enjoying the game at this very moment. Dozens!
Probably banking on name recognition alone. The first one was one of the early major indie success stories. But between coming 10 years later and the EGS exclusivity, we'll see how that's gonna work out for them lol.It's not just Epic Store deal. There was 0 marketing. Not even a launch trailer. No streamers playing it. Nothing.
You got to go all in with thatPfff, I'm sure there are dozens of people enjoying the game at this very moment. Dozens!
True as far as I am concerned.New Super Meat Boy was just released and ther is like 0 talk about it anywhere.
