I was expecting this to be some HBOMax dud but it looks pretty good all things considered.

They got Joe Taslim for SubZero too so at the very least the fight scenes gonna be good.

Everyone needs to check out The Night Comes for Us on Netflix if you haven't already.

I was enjoying Nioh 2, now I'm just fucking annoyed. I don't know what to do. The game crashes at the exact same point every time.

Verified game files - crashes
Reinstalled game - crashes
Updated drivers - crashes

I can't progress. See attached:

Did you change settings in the Nvidia control panel? I had crashes trying to force FXAA via the panel so I reverted everything.

I read many others had same problems with game crashing and in game movies not playing as a result too.

I have an AMD gpu, so sadly that is not the cause. :surrenderblob:

The update adding Nvidia DLSS seems like its causing a bunch of crashing issues

Gizmo Can you backup your save games then try loading an earlier save? Maybe the save file is corrupt?
If you haven't made any system changes, i'd try an earlier save if possible and then go looking online to see if others have the same issue at the same point in the game.

Since it's repeatable, it may be worth reporting it directly via K-T contact form: Submit a request – Koei Tecmo Games

Attach the clip you made along with the issues, and hope for the best.

(I've used it to report a bunch of issues in Atelier games over the years but those were never getting fixed, but ymmv)

Unfortunately, the game only has one save file that autosaves constantly.

I'm not sure if you have already, but check the Save Data folder for Nioh 2. It actually creates a backup copy of the save file.
Documents -> KoeiTecmo -> NIOH2

Other save file has the problem. :surrenderblob:

Drop in game settings and try again? Maybe point the camera in a different direction and walking towards the door?

Settings did not fix it.

The camera trick almost worked! I was able to get close enough to open the door; however once I took a few steps inside it crashed again.

Is it a side mission? If so then just skip it and comeback to it later after a patch/update.

Also try editing your character, gender and/or appearance/armor etc. Maybe its some effect issue.

Nah, it's a main story mission in the DLC. Palace of the Damned in the Darkness DLC.

I'll try changing my character.

Is there a boss fight after the door? The only other way I can think of, provided that the AMD hardware is the cause here, is to share your save file with a friend perhaps and ask them to get you through it? I'm also happy to help, if needed.

What is with people? I guess maybe because they don't have a lot of time? But from playing on the JPN servers for APEX I have had a lot of player that have just disconnected and given up... And in some cases me and the other person ended up getting way further in the game. I think there was even 1 time where me and the other person ended up winning the game without the person that left.

Interesting. Aren't these games already free on the Battle.net client? I have access to them there but definitely did not ever pay for them.

Maybe I got them from a Blizzcon at somepoint?

Nah, they're free for everyone. These might be modern ports of them instead of DOSBox stuff though.

Will use these settings.

DAMN you went in deep
I tried out one of the earliest PSOne games also: King's Field.
...well it is an early 3D game but at least it looks clean and smooth! Also holy hell right from the get go the music is terrifying and I'm supposed to be at the 'town' part of the game where I get items and speak to NPCs etc. XP

I should note something: If you play an editted or hacked ver. of a game, Duckstation won't let you do save states or use cheats for it! A minor thing since mainly jRPGs are the ones that usually get romhacks that improve them but creating custom save states helps XO
If there is a roundabout way to bypass, I hadn't found it yet :lampblob:

Also, also; it should run 2D games with its scanline filter quite well and the visual output is really nice and clean.

So, how does that work? Why would the publisher put a too high price on something and not correct it when they saw it was crazy? Also, how do users abuse the regional pricing? Like VPN into a country with a low price and buy it there?

Holy shit. 20% tax on digital games.

Just thinking aloud, could valve use the USD as a cap, and then allow publishers to go lower as needed, but not higher than the exchange rate?
Hey, do you also live in Canary Islands??
Lol yes. I didn't expect anybody on this forum would know about the existence of the Canary Islands. Thanks, you just made my day. 🙏

In other non related news, a new historical low for GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN- on Steam store

Yeeeesh.. Twitter, or rather, the Internet was a mistake. People are just abusing their power of anonymity.
Somewhere along the line, big companies decided money is worth more (obviously) than having an environment of consequences for its users action.

I bought the deluxe edition of Persona 5 Strikers from Fanatical and I still cannot play early. Several other people on the Steam forums are having the same issue.

Why aren't they subpoena-ing Sony or Microsoft? Now that'd be fun for the whole family!
Because legal battle is happening in PC/Mobile space and not on consoles too as Epic targeted specific platform spaces ^^

Apple: Valve, gimme your sales data, itemised by AppId, from 2015 until now.
Valve: lol no. as if. figure it out yourselves and leave us out of it.

Anyway, we're discussing EGS again are we? It's Friday night.

Yes, but the idea and concept of walled gardens is the problem, not the specific space in which it happens. The precedent this theoretically could set very much would affect them. But I see your point. Still, MS is present in the PC space too! As is GoG. I wonder why Epic isn't acknowledging those.

Also, damn the sheer gall of what Apple is requesting.

Apple’s Request 2 is very narrow. It simply requests documents sufficient to show Valve’s: (a) total yearly sales of apps and in-app products; (b) annual advertising revenues from Steam; (c) annual sales of external products attributable to Steam; (d) annual revenues from Steam; and (e) annual earnings (whether gross or net) from Steam. Apple has gone as far as requesting this information in any readily accessible format, but Valve refuses to produce it."

"(a) the name of each App on Steam; (b) the date range when the App was available on Steam; and (c) the price of the App and any in-app product available on Steam."

"Could you give us every operating data you have? Just for personal research."

Both corps are complete bellends in this, clearly.

Because Epic most likely did special deals on consoles, that's why.
