Controversial opinion: Market is best part of Artifact.

I sold my initial cards for 20€ profits, didn't play actual game more than once
It is not that controversial. The existence of "expert modes" with a pay-to-play ticket system is in my opinion what deters people from playing: this kind of mode is already stressful and frustrating when the entry fee is grindable in-game currency, so imagine what it becomes when it is only purchasable with money.

People can play the free draft mode instead, but draft RNG is not everyone's cup of tea. I guess most people want a free constructed mode with a ladder and a few rewards each month/season depending on your achievement.

At least, a complete card collection is cheap:

I realize I had forgotten to post a follow-up about the generation of Steam banners. The last time, I generated 28x28 images with an algorithm published in 2015. More recently, I have generated 128x128 images using a StyleGAN, which is the algorithm published by Nvidia to generate 1024x1024 images of human faces, after 1 week of computation with 8 GPUs. I don't have the setup (and the patience) to do it properly, but I am quite happy with the results. If I recall right, I have stopped the computations after ~20 hours of computation with 1 GPU. For comparison, to get good 256x256 images with 1 GPU, 15 days would be necessary, according to the researchers.

real banners
generated banners

With the right tools, I have no doubt one could generate super good Steam banners for fake games. Ultimately, one could make a game banner more "anime" (or less "anime" :sneaky:), more or less cheerful, change the position of the character from left to right, etc.

Almost done with DoA6 already myself. There is like nothing to do except ~60 or so more ranked matches.

It feels so content bare, and the achievements came so fast there's like nothing left to grind for except costumes. Only problem is the costume grind is an RNG bullshit fest which is getting the devs absolutely reamed on JP twitterverse to the point where they've apologized profusely and promise to patch. Ahem. Anyway it's still bullshit and a lot of the in-game costume are kinda boring anyway so motivation to grind... meh. They REALLY want you to get that bullshit season pass.

Once I'm done with the achievements though I think I'll stop playing until new characters are out or something. Definitely was not worth the money I spent on digital deluxe edition, but whatever. Crazy to think I spent 150 hours in DoA5, yet I'm likely to spend less than 20 in DoA6. o_O

My understanding is that the MC is fixed, but I may be wrong here.
Wow. that sucks. Instantly kills any hype for me, so I guess it'll stay in the backlog for a while. I've tried to stay as spoiler free as possible so haven't really been following Sekiro news, but I could have swore when it was first revealed/leaked that Character Creation was in...

(Gives me more uniterrupted time for other March games at least. LEFT ALIVE and Fate/Extella Link let's go!)

I thought the demo was the same as the base game, It never game me troubles and I got 4gigs in gpu and 8 in system. I do tinker with the pagefile tho.
It ran fine until after I explored the west side of the station then it started using a bunch of ram whenever I go back to the east part, but for whatever reason it runs fine now today, wonder if it's just that particular part of the game, or it has some memory leak, weird, guess I'll find out when I return to that part of the map later.

How's Deep Rock Galactic, in terms of single-player content?
Is it worth the current asking price?

Most of my time has been with friends but the development team has been improving the AI of the robot that plays with you in single player. In fact, there is now an upgrade terminal where you can boost some of its capabilities. Deep Rock is awesome, they have improved the game immensely during the last year. You should try it, it's great ;)

I don't remember that Trine 3 was concluded. It ended with a cliffhanger if I recall correctly
As far as I remember Trine 3 was half a game that they released because they ran out of money. They appear to have ditched the full 3D aspect of it so I hope they plan better this time.

Since I really liked the first two I will probably buy this one after looking at reviews, unless of course it goes to Epic (yes, I'm little paranoid).

I've tried to try out Vermintide 2 over the weekend and the game left a terrible first impression.

Try #1: I start the game, Launcher pops up with some options. I set up stuff and start it for real. Game completely hangs after the logos and I could barely kill it with the Task Manager. Nice.

Try #2: It starts fine this time and I get loaded into the prologue/tutorial. Game looks great and gameplay seems fun. However, there's tons of very noticeable stuttering going on. Tried to reduce graphic options, no dice. Played through the prologue like that.

Try #3: The internet tells me that the DX12 implementation of Vermintide 2 is bad, so I try it with DX11 this time. I start the game and load into the hub area. Lo and behold, the stutter is gone even with higher settings than I tried previously. Tried to take on my first real mission. Select one on the map and load. And load. And load. And continue to load. And... infinite loading screen, hurray. Task Manager -> kill the game.

What the fucking hell is wrong with this shit.

HOW? weren't they about to go under?
EU is funding it at least partially (15%). Publisher could be doing some funding too.

Highly professional behavior.
We already know Epic Games is paying PC Gamer to publish anti steam news sponsored "reviews" of Epic store exclusive games.
Gotta keep those funds flowing.

Was Get Even in a monthly bundle? I originally made a giveaway for it as I wasn't too into its genre, but lately I've become more open to more gaming genres so I'm interested in trying it out.

The live action scenes are in the game? I'm intrigued

Question to you EDF players: Is it recommended to play some missions on Hard to get better weapons for playing on Normal?
I'm on mission 35 now (mostly played local co-op) and non-co-op Normal is pretty hard, lol.

Highly professional behavior.
I feel like this tweet is way stupider if you understand what spawned this tweet. Sorry in advance for this screed I'm about to write.

BACKGROUND FOR THOSE OOTL

A petition was started to add a specific anti-vaxxer scenario to Plague Inc. The developer tweeted and said that if the petition got 10k signatures, they'd do it:

Two days later, the petition had reached its goal (over 20k now actually!), and the developer said they'd add it soon:

The reception I saw was largely positive and jocular pretty much everywhere from Steam to Twitter to even Reddit.

Then, this dipshit goes and finds a few stupid recent reviews after this anti-vaxxer scenario announcement to highlight Steam's "hilarious" reviews:

But HOLD UP. Let's break that screenshot down real quick.

In this image, one review is just calling the game "so bad." It's a worthless review, but there's no proof of correlation between it and the anti-vaxxer scenario.

One review is calling the developers "far-left SJWs." Again, a very stupid and very worthless review, but not one that explicitly shows correlation to the anti-vaxxer scenario. It's likely to be as much about the Brexit jokes that the games makes as about the vaccine thing. There's also the issue that there are at least some anti-vaxxers among the so-called "far-left SJW" crowd, which further compounds the difficulty of attributing this review to the upcoming scenario (research shows anti-vaxxers are largely white, college-educated people who demonstrate a disposition towards conspiratorial mindsets).

And the reason I'm confident in suggesting this second review (like the first) might be about Brexit or something entirely unrelated to vaccines is because the review above these two is literally some schmuck complaining about the game making "Brexit commentary":

Anyways, back to the screenshot, you finally have one review which is actually attacking the anti-vaxxer scenario and whining. Fine, we can concede on that one.

So this one stupid review about vaccines inspires the one dipshit to screenshot it to laugh at it, which inspires this dipshit (actually the Designer/Programmer of Where the Water Tastes Like Wine) to say:

Which then inspires this dipshit (PC Gamer Writer) to say:

But wait a second, how about the other recent reviews since the announcement?

Oh ho. Dang. They're actually positive and like the anti-vaxxer inclusion.

And wait a second, what about that one actual stupid rant from that initial screenshot?

What? I can't find the review anymore, where'd it go! It should be right between these two! I better go check the user's Steam profile and see where it went. Maybe he deleted it himself?

Oh whoops, Steam removed the review because it broke the ToS.

BUT.
MUH.
NARRATIVE.

Here's what matters. In Yakuza Kiwami you can regain health by drinking booze. Finally Yakuza can be the best life simulation.
Booze heals, you're an unstoppable fighting man, every punk on the street wants to fight you, and Majima pops out of every other sewer grate to assault you. Also I think Kiryu has never fucked and I'm 99% sure that's cannon.

What a game.
