The word is censored in the forum but not in the game title. If Valve wants to let anyone upload content to a store page for $100, then they need to have a consistent filtering system across their website, automatic checks as they already have for the hub, and an easier reporting system (I have no idea where to go to report a game), like Youtube does.

ohh, that's for sure ... that goddamn flag is pretty well hidden ... and VERY not-obvious it's for actually reporting stuff

As an aside, back to that whole Plague Inc. thing real quick, I think it's real weird that some people are now trying to claim those tweets were jokes.

If you check the tweet from the WTWTLW dev, you can literally see him arguing in the replies that "there's no good reason for them [reviews] to exist."

Sure, the "Abolish Steam" was probably hyperbole in the meme-ish way people say "Abolish __," especially in regards to political topics on social media. It's still a stupid, and as I pointed out, unsubstantiated tweet from a writer for an outlet whose coverage of the PC landscape has been pretty pathetic for the past year.

I also don't know why people keep insisting that we need to give the gaming press/personalities the benefit of the doubt. I mean I will sometimes when I know the person is trustworthy (Schreier and Klepek are tops in this regard), but hell, other times you can just call a spade a spade when the spade is being a spineless, uniformed weasel. And doing that doesn't mean we're all going to turn into GGer pumpkins overnight or something.

We literally just saw the presses' unwillingness and/or inability to seriously engage in a number of discussions on at least two major topics (Devotion and THQN), and we also saw a bit of mealy-mouthedness around Anthem as well. The former two topics are obviously vastly more important on a real-life scale than the Steam/Epic brouhaha of the last few months, but still. Maybe the gaming press can be treated with maturity when they treat their own field with maturity.

Ugh, I need a rest. To hell with it all :upside-down-face::upside-down-face::upside-down-face:

i imagine it mostly depends on who's checking those VNs (not saying that's good or anything ... but that's probably why it's happening randomly)

and the previously managed game wasn't being sold yet, so volvo haven't even seen it yet (well, i imagine they've seen it NOW because of all the articles and stuff)
My issue in this instance is exactly that they haven't even seen that game in the time it was online (19 days you said?) while the name alone is already a red flag and at the very least you already reported it. And meanwhile they've managed to totally 'see' legit games and removed them.

Mt. Whatever
I cannot stand the fact that legitimately good games like Kara No Shoujo 2 are banned and yet filth like this (Rape day), and the hundreds of hentai clicker/puzzles remain. Truly this is the one thing about Valve that boils my blood as well.

KnS2 was reviewed and recommended by Kotaku for Christmas sakes! o_O

Makes me wanna roll my eyes so hard they pop out of existence. What happened to the Valve which said they were only gonna ban things that were "Illegal or trolling?"
wasnt the issue with this one in the end something with stolen art ??? (or at least i remember something like this or some localizator vs dev issue being the cause)
No. Goodness no.

KnS2 is made by Innocent Grey, one of the most esteemed and proper VN studios in Japan. The art, music, story, everything is their own and it's all top tier.

KnS is already on Steam. KnS2 has been on sale by MangaGamer's and other VN webstores for years now without issue.

I have no idea what you're referring to. The most likely case for stolen art is all these damn "Hentai" games. It's not even likely tbh, it's 100% true. These games just rip pictures from the web without credit to the artists and put them behind crappy puzzle and clicker games.

OT here you have the numbers, I think so far we have been doing a great job, don't you think? of course there will be things that we have been missing for sure, but overall I think those are great numbers.

200 very promising games per month .... and epic's goal is to release 30 each month ... lol, good luck with that

Indeed, I think the game we are adding there are very promising, I mean, it's not a perfect filter and there will be things that we will miss for a lot of reasons but I'm happy with the results, really really happy in fact.

When is Epic suppose to start releasing a game a day? I always thought that was suppose to happen from the start, but there is barely anything on the store.
they said that's their "ulimate plan" ... to have 1 good game releasing per day, no more

I was a bit curios. Just went to Epic Game store to see how the website is. The front page... it shows all their available games on the store?
yup, that's all of them (since no search)

Control a little robo guy, using typed pseudo code to control its movements to move from start to exit. As you progress, the ability to control can get more sophisticated using basic programming language syntax (variable, loops, conditionals etc). I'm still early into it, but enjoying how its introducing the programming concepts,

I was able to get into the beta for it by subscribing to the closed beta email list here if others are interested:

For those who enjoyed Hard West, Phantom Doctrine, and/or Ancient Space, here's some sad news.
It seems CreativeForge Games, at least as we know it, no longer exists, since the whole team quit.

The lead developer on Phantom Doctrine and Hard West, and former CEO of the company for a brief period, posted the following on RPGCodex:

«Dear Codexians,
I do lurk here frequently, and I must apologize for not replying to any questions - things have been rather hectic.
I will try to make it brief, and here are the major bullet points:

  • PD didn't sell as expected (there's little doubt it will break even somewhere along the way, but in Poland your game is always compared to Witcher 3 and Frostpunk )
  • hence the previous, original CEO "resigned" (strong House of Cards vibe here)
  • I was asked to step up, and I did (my major reason being keeping the team intact)
  • we supported PD as much as it could have been supported (having lost the lead programmer) without jeopardizing daily operations
  • late Dec it became clear that the CEO role was to become a shareholder puppet (you can check out the company statue changes prepped to be voted in late Jan)
  • that was when I flipped the table and resigned from the CEO job
  • the moment it became apparent that we'll have to struggle with even basic operation tasks, I grabbed that table mid-air and flipped it again and quit
  • and the rest of the team also quit
  • and CFG as you know it ceased to exist
  • but on our last days on the company payroll we yet managed to push out as much as was possible of the modding support
The Polish game dev job market is in very good shape (imagine HR people dressed as mad max-ian warboys scouting the wasteland and fighting for any experienced gamedevs they can find) so there's no drama here, and meanwhile a handful of us came together and will try to do something. »

I was searching around, and it seems he and a few other members of the team started a new company called Artificer.
Here's their twitter account:

As mentioned above, before everyone quit, they released a big update with mod tools and new content for Phantom Doctrine.

I am looking at Artifact's reviews per language. It seems the Chinese dislike it the most.
  1. English: ~8500 reviews (64% positive)
  2. Chinese: ~6100 reviews (34% positive)
  3. Russian: ~3300 reviews (41% positive)
  4. German: ~300 reviews (54% positive)
  5. Spanish: ~300 reviews (51% positive)
  6. French: ~300 reviews (61% positive)
By the way, these buttons do not work:

I did some Mission 2 Hard farming in EDF and have now quite a few more awesome vehicles.
Including a huge Golden Tank for 3 players with, among other stuff, the "Requiem" Gun which is ridiculously awesome. It's recoil is so big that it pushes the entire tank several meters back and it's just a massive explosion that levels everything when it hits. It's awesome.
I love EDF

Damn, that's really sad to hear. I bought Phantom Doctrine day one but never got around to playing it for real (did like 2 missions and that was it).

I'm on the same boat. I experienced a few bugs with the game, and was waiting for it to be patched some more.
I'll be giving it a go again soon.

The team were very talented, and their games featured creative settings, and some interesting ideas and mechanics. But, they were lacking some needed polish.
It's the kind of team that, sooner or later, I expected to finally get things right, and give us an awesome, classic game.

Hopefully, the new company the main leads created will continue their work.

EDF is awesome!
Which reminds me, has there been any news about EDF 5 getting a PC release? I need more EDF in my life. :giggle:

I beat the average, but didn't get the BTA games. :(
That seriously sucks.
Can I use the increase amount to get them?

If you click on the name at the top left then it'll take you to the store page without adding to wishlist.
good to know, i'll do that in the future. the game isn't released yet, so that's why the button changed from "go to store" to "add to wishlist", so i just wasn't paying attention when I clicked it.
