It is strange that they specifically mentioned PC for SOMA and not for Amnesia. IF that is true then basically majority sales for Amnesia came from Steam based on SteamDB estimations.

Tempted to ask question, will it be available on Steam day one :p
I guess someone else will do it, so i don't bother.

They don't need money but they sure as hell need good will from the players so if they want to press self destruct button they are free to do it.

Seems to me like indie devs are dealing with console by going to the platform holder that is willing to give them the most cash, wherever it is Nintendo, Sony or MS, but still release on PC/Steam where the game will sell the best.

You rarely see an indie dev go full console exclusive.

Both Halo and Starfield at the end of the year would be incredible.

Microsoft should space them out if they can. Infinite in October and Starfield in November would be good.

Either way Gamepass is gonna eat. Both will do very well on Steam too and I am expecting higher levels of polish than usual now that they are gonna shelf the PS5 version. Bethesda devs probably relieved heh.

Lol, every single indie game announcement from Playstation today has already had a Steam page for ages.

I played a demo of Heavenly Bodies last year on Steam festival.

I bet Shu and Greg Rice is simply just scrolling through Steam to find something cool. :p

Where the Heart Leads has actually not been announced for PC, strangely enough, though I'm sure it'll come.

I love these old EQ models and names.

These names sound like Magic the Gathering cards, lol.

Cackling Kidnapper.
Insatiable Nibbler.
EverQuest, the Beloved Timesink
Maybe I play too much MTG Arena....

Auto HDR for PC is in preview and we’re on a journey to continually improve it with you. For example, we haven’t yet enabled Auto HDR on all top DX11/DX12 titles since some are hard to identify as Auto HDR eligible; we also think turning on HDR just for gaming is harder than it should be.

That's an awesome news for HDR in general on PC, it's about time that we embrace an hassle free solution for it

These are my STEAM settings.

Like I say, it used to work, but now it doesn't and I cant remember changing anything.

I use almost the same settings and it works for me, the only different option is the Inventory, mine is set to public.

I'm really starting to hate the internet. Is it me or is youtube increasingly behaving in a way that is emulating its own browser-like behavior, inside of a browser? If I misclick somewhere, it'll start loading stuff and I can't stop it, I can only patiently wait for it to do something that should take milliseconds while removing even the most basic navigation feature that we've had since Netscape 1.0.

On the other hand, Songs of Syx has had a large update and is looking as promising as ever!

People really should do what I've been doing since the last decade, disable view history. There's literally no merit in enabling that. If you want more videos of your liking, just like them and/or subscribe to the channel, you'll be recommended with more of them.

It's Square-Enix. They'll either do nothing, or they'll "fix" the Steam version by putting this new build on the store as a separate release without giving so much as a loyalty discount to existing owners. Your guess is as good as mine as to whether they'll even bother delisting the broken one.

Yeah, that's definitely what they're gonna do. The value will be refreshed too, so that they can start with full price and lower discounts down the line.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if this new version is Win32 or UWP. Are there even Win32 applications on Gamepass? I might be wrong here but I vaguely recall something about MS having a tool to facilitate porting Xbox games to UWP. That could explain why it's the Xbox version. If that's the case and there is no Win32 version of this build, then yeah, it's never coming to Steam lmao.

By the way I was able to buy the DOA DLC both on Steam and PSN before it got pulled.

Dang PSN sure is a mess. I had to jump through so many hoops just to buy the DLC for my PS Vita.

Also I had to but the game on Steam otherwise I couldn't purchase the DLC. Can I refund the game but I will still retain the DLC? Or how does that work?

Seems to be.

So yeah don't click any unexpected links from friends on Steam. And don't login to steam from third party sites (login from official page and then you don't need to login there and just click continue if it's legit).

he posted half an hour ago on era gaming thread, and me and another poster tagged him, but no response yet.

If you open the support page to refund the game, does it say something about there are packages that will be removed along with it?

Does this mean that all this time SE has fixed Nier Automata for PC but refuse to update the Steam version?
I assume Microsoft paid to get it ported to UWP. To get the features back to Steam, SE would need pay someone to do the work. Which they refuse, so yeah, nothing will happen I assume.
What a bizarre situation.

Hardly.
There was a lot of time between PS4/PC and Xb1 release, and I'm pretty sure Platinum updated their build.

There are other games like this on Xbox/Win10 store.
Comment from elsewhere :
There are games on the Windows store that are completely different from the Steam versions, for example Ark's version on Steam runs on a very old Unreal engine dx11 variant while Winstore is the Xbox One version ported using dx12. It's basically Microsoft providing engineering assistance to struggling devs for a better port on their platform.
Windows 10 version of Final Fantasy XV has less shuttering than Steam version because of some Windows backend issue with the latter.
