Is there any other game other than Death Stranding that does the "passive co-op" formula? Souls games have only the messages, so it's not quite the same.
Or games that have the players work towards a common goal? Like HellDivers

We need your help testing Common’hood so that together, we can make it the best game it can be!

The game's development has moved forward and thus we're finally ready! Common’hood will now undergo a series of Closed Beta events, allowing us to gather feedback and polish the game. This will give us the chance to improve key areas of the game based on your comments, eventually leading to the best possible 1.0 for all of us.

On April 19th we’ll open up Beta One - Building the Basics.
The base systems of the game are now implemented, and we need your help to test their limits and of course, shower us in feedback for what the game could do better, or what you’d like to see in it! We’ll be closing Beta One on May 10th.

Please remember that what you’re seeing is the first of several closed betas on the way to our Fall 2021 release, so what you see in Closed Beta One is not an accurate reflection of what 1.0 will look like.

We’re hopeful that you’ll help us and give us tons of feedback to improve on both the environment and the game’s story.
You can sign up for Closed Beta One - Building the Basics here: [UWSL]http://eepurl.com/gP1z6H[/UWSL]

Journey?
Astroneers springs to mind.

He's a dataminer who has been strongly against the rumours of a BB PC port, claiming they weren't true because apparently he knows more than anyone else
Ah, so the tweet was fake, I thought it was those kind of meme tweets with 2 pics or something, sorry ^^

Same song and dance as Horizon. "It will never happen", "it's fake" etc. The weird thing is that Sony themselves confirmed that more PC games are on the way. Why would anyone double down on this after Horizon and Days Gone?
the most hilarious thing about this is the fact that people have been testing BBPC for like a year now, lol

Lance still going on with Bloodborne not coming to PC.
Death stranding is not coming > is only coming because Kojima signed the deal > it was always going to come and no one said no
HZD is not coming > is only coming because it uses Decima Engine > yeah, ofc it's coming because Sony wants to market the second game
Days gone is not coming > is only coming because it uses UE4 > Well yeah, it's not a successful IP for Sony so of course it's coming but no more

and so on, really tiring every single time there's an excuse and a change of discurse.

Persona 4 Golden was only ported because it was stuck on a dead platform.
P5S was only ported because it's mostly a KT game and runs on their engine.
SMT3 HD was only ported because it uses Unity as a wrapper and it was a multiplat release in the first place.

I wonder what the excuse for P5R will be.

The funny thing is if it is announced by the end of the year it will prove his sources are wrong, as it doesnt take a month to port that game, especially with some extras/cut content. Looking at minimum of a year it has been in production.

He is also trying to give himself an out if it does happen.

praise review bombs
B-b-b-but journalist and EGS told me review bombs are bad.

NieR: Automata getting a patch is good to hear. It's late though but it might make me fire up the game again and go for the 100% completion. Although they've announced it now because NieR Replicant is coming out soon.

The excuse will be P5R was only ported because P5S was ported. How else will the players understand the story?

The DF video only went through the tutorial section though, one of the biggest complaints about the Steam version is the large stutters that happen in certain locations when traveling through the open world.
I have no idea if these are fixed in the gamepass version though, some users say it is fixed there, but I don't think there's comparison videos about this (most videos comparing the versions focused on the tutorial).

Also, despite what Alex says on the DF video, there is a version of FAR for the gamepass version (though it's more limited than the current Steam version of FAR).
started playing the Game Pass version the other day, and while I don't have any baseline for comparison here, it seems to run fine, aside from the well-documented issues with AA (where turning on AA somehow conflicts with the AO and raises GPU utilization from ~60% to 100%).

The performance stutters are not gone, however. it hasn't happened too often (even in the early hours of the game when you don't have fast travel and have to travel everywhere on foot), but there are definitely areas where the framerate tanks for a few seconds when traveling between areas. It's possible that this is just an underlying issue with Platinum's proprietary engine not being designed for open-world games and not a failure of the PC port, though, I don't have the technical expertise to say

Same as the Steam version, AA and AO don't work well together, they result in high performance cost and visual issues. Though, I dunno about the gamepass version, but in the Steam version post processing AA is turned on together with the AO option.

You mean the way it populates buildings and stuff that other players built and have the public projects like the roads? Can't really think of one of the top of my head.

The reason a lot of people are so concerned about "review bombs" is that they actually have an impact.

Which is not to say that there aren't specific kinds of review bombs (the incel kind) which are problematic, but listening to some media back when it was a common topic you might get the impression that most negative review campaigns are that, while in my experience that's absolutely not the case.

People are saying that Nier Automata QLOC patch is still inferior to Steam with FAR. But I thought FAR is already compatible with it. At least I've read it somewhere before.

not really , he is kinda changing his shtick and kinda opening himself up to the possibility .... as his tweets last year were "agressive nope and never" and now its "it was fake before , but i am not sure anymore" (probably to not look like complete clown in the end )

My post was just a joke at the negative connotation that has been associated with "review bombing".

From what I've seen I also think most review bombs are justified as most "bombs" are users talking about issues they are experiencing that the developer can address. Although I somewhat disagree with leaving a negative review for connectivity issues in the first few days of an online game release since these reviews aren't updated when the connectivity issues are fixed and aren't really indicative of the gaming experience once it is stable but I understand if people do post them.

even the modder says it himself
The Microsoft Store currently does not support an unlocked framerate the way the Steam version does. You're probably better off with the Steam version of NieR in the end. There are visual artifacts I can't get rid of in the Windows Store version. Bloom and AO look terrible and no matter the settings, everything is massively over-sharpened.)

"The Microsoft Store version of FAR is inferior. I did my best to try and fix what I could, but that version of the game actually made a number of things worse. They bumped up post-processing resolution from 900p to 1080p, but at the same time the implementation of AO's worse. Now that I've seen the implementation details of NieR's HDR, I can do considerably better but won't be wasting any more time on the Gamepass version. I'll put in a bit more work on HDR on the Steam version. "
so yeah some things just cant be further fixed in Appx environment ... but good news is that if that qloc patch hits steam , we might get further and better fixes than we have now

I'm confused. Didn't Nacon already mention they signed with Epic for WRC 9 + 10?

Edit: can't find a source for this. Wrc 10 Steam page is up and mentions September 2021 release date. I'll be ignoring Nacon for at least another year though.
