Picked up House Flipper.

Super chill game.

Stick with it through your first couple speed upgrades. It can feel a bit slow at first, but the pace settles in well with a few upgrades.

I found the "Detect all Dirt" one an early fave for contracts.

Interesting. It is also hidden for my account... Maybe it is hidden for everybody now.

According to some subreddits i've read no, it's still available for some people and others have used new accounts on new devices and the sliders are there or they are there when logged out but not when logged in so it definitely appears like it's targetting accounts. Whether it'll be rolled out to everyone eventually, it's a bug or a feature they are testing, no-one knows and Humble aren't saying anything when asked. I have no idea what i did to deserve it, like i said i can't recall changing the sliders for years.

I definitely have the "hide_sliders" value set to true when i inspect the pages and data though.

Hi lurkers
I feel attacked :surrenderblob:

I am in high risk group ( thanks to asthma) and Im before my 30s, and yet Covid was relatively kind to me. I just had a cough for a week and some headaches.
When I was younger I always landed in the hospital when I had pneumonia ( which happened 3 times).
A recently released study showed that the use of an asthma spray (Budenosid or something like that) reduces (covid induced) hospitalizations by 90 percent. Perhaps this was an influence in your case.

I didn't realize the Okami soundtrack got released too.

It feels like a Metal Gear Solid 2 remake/remaster is going to be announced soonish. Maybe a new Metal Gear collection with Twin Snakes included (at least I read a rumor on Reddit about it) and coming to PS5/Xbox/Switch/Steam.
Highly doubt the Twin Snakes part as it's a game that Nintendo owns (that remake, I mean) but feel free to post the rumor if you want.

I wonder if Oculus will announce a few more games coming to Steam? Maybe Resident Evil 4 VR?
I think so, I think PCVR content might be as Medal of Honor, both platforms Steam and Oculus

Finished Yakuza 3. Not going straight into Y4 because I still need to finish P5S (love that game so much) and then I want to focus on Nier.

Unfortunately I'll have to choose between Nocturne and Mass Effect in May, no way I can afford both.
On one hand Nocturne is one of my favorite games ever, on the other hand I'm really eager to revisit ME, watching the trailers really made me realize how much I miss those games.
Hopefully my brother buys one of them so I can family share.

I'm hitting one of the really annoying issues of GFN. The locale for your temporary VM is based on your current OS's, and Steam in turns picks up on that. Know what games don't allow you to change the language in-game and decide for you based on system locale?

Too many, that's how many.

Dota 2 is a particularly bad offender and of course Steam doesn't allow you to set an account-wide locale, and neither does nvidia even contemplate the option of offering the user a choice of locale. I tried the good old locale emulator but it doesn't work on 64bit runtimes, which GFN unfortunately is.

Stuff like this makes me really glad I'm only paying 5 bucks a month for this and have Shadow. Seriously, I'm not going to change my entire OS locale for a single ass-backward application from a company that really should know better :(.

so Nindies showcase happened so made a few threads for stuff i had in browser tabs :p

New stuff:

Updated old threads:

OTs for released stuff

As much as I'd love to see MGS4 freed from console jail, any rumor about it gets filed under "I'll believe it when I see it". I genuinely hope it's true but, as the rumor acknowledges, doing anything with that codebase has got to be a fucking nightmare. It was such a hack job to even get it to run on PS3 that they had to do that convoluted installation process between every single act. I do not envy whoever gets the job of untangling that mess to get it to run on a sane architecture.

Regarding Konami, with their recent successful Momotaro and now announcing GetsuFumaDen sequel, as well as closing their gyms in Japan (thanks to covid), I actually feel that they are giving much more attention to gaming development compared with what they did a few years ago. Ports of their old games are likely to continue appearing in foreseeable future.

One more month until Mass Effect Legendary. What a fucking amazing package that is gonna be.

But looks like Steam version will be available only on Steam for the 60$ right? All the offsite stuff seems to be Origin keys so no way to get discount by the looks of it and humble doesn't have it either :(

Looking into Wii emulation.
You need a wiimote and a bluetooth receiver, ah no issue, I'm galaxy brain and kept the wiim... wait, you also need the nunchuk ?
Oh.

I'm not interested in Mass Effect Legendary anymore, especially after learning that they barely touched ME2 and ME3 outsides textures. So it's basically $60 for the first game remaster, since I already own ME2 & ME3. If I can buy only ME1 for $20, then we'll talk.

You can emulate everything with a gamepad. Heck you can also use keyboard.
Yeah I'm trying to make sense of Dolphin controller config right now. MadWorld looked doable, if a little convoluted, but I have trouble assigning 'move nunchuk to the left'. Tilt didn't seem to work so I assigned the same button to swing, yolo.

I haven't been selling Steam cards for a fair while and forgot how tedious the process is to confirm the listing via Steam's mobile app. I had about 200+ cards to sell and I have been tapping away on my mobile's screen for the past 15 minutes.

There must be a better way to do this.

Winauth.

(Shame there isn't really a way to do both Winauth & real mobile auth tho.

So I bought Like A Dragon, so when should I play it? I'm currently on Yakuza 5. Also when should I play Zero?
You should have started with 0 :p

And Like a dragon is a completely different story, so you can start right away.

But in terms of how modern it feels, where does Zero place? It was little jarring going from Kiwami 2 to Yakuza 3 haha. But nice to hear about Like A Dragon, might go for it after 5 while I wait for FPS boot for Yakuza 6.

But there is no connection in the timeline between LAD and rest of the series?

Usually games and movies should be played/watched in release order.
Yakuza is a bit different. The remakes for Y1 and Y2 were slightly altered to take into account events from Y0.
So the "right" order would be 0, kiwami 1, kiwami 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, LAD.

Since Y:LAD features a new character, I played Y0, Y:LAD and then the rest (I'm now at Y5, killing bears). I kinda regret it now since some events would have been way more exciting had I been familiar with the events from the previous opuses.

So yeah, you should've already played Y0. Especially if you've played Kiwami 2's Majima chapters (which is the ending to a major plotline from Y0). Probably my favorite Yakuza story (Majima and Makoto's) and the one that really got me teary-eyed.

AFAIK (take this with a grain of salt)
3 and 4 use the same engine (but 4 is way better).
5, kiwami 1 and 0 use another engine.
Kiwami 2 and 6 use the dragon engine.
LAD uses either the dragon engine or an enhanced version of it.

Like a Dragon takes place after 6. Later in the game there are characters and references from 0-6. I'd at least finish 6 before going on to Like a Dragon.
