This looks really really cool:

I'm not entirely sure how the gameplay works, but it is described as a tactical deck-building library battle game, which sounds rad.

From the creators of Lobotomy Corporation and apparently set in the same world/lore and is story related? Dunno, I haven't played either of them (but I do want to)

Can't wait for the Dark Souls of platformers
It makes Super Meat Boy look like a Yoshi game. I never bothered with masochistic fanmade platformers like I Wanna Be the Guy or any of the Kaizo Mario games, but GnG Resurrection is probably the hardest commercial platformer I have ever played. Although if you play on the easier difficulties it is more manageable due to more generous checkpoints.

Knockout City is launching on Game Pass day one. It's probably a good idea since it would be another Rocket Arena where it's DOA day one otherwise.

Edit: It's coming to all versions of EA Play day one and not just Game Pass. So people who are subscribed to EA Play on Steam can get it too.

Is there any package price for the collection or do you buy individual games as dlcs?

Humble started an early anime sale today
The games in this pack are also included in the Capcom Arcade Stadium Packs 1, 2, and 3 bundle. Please take care not to purchase content you already own.

split into 3, if I read correctly.

Wait if we can choose single games...I might just do that as I don't need the repeats that were in previous collections.
There'll be 3 packs, each for $15 with a set of games
the full pack of 3 can be bought for $40 however.

More about the mess that is the Atelier Mysterious DX trilogy.

Firis DX and Lydie & Suelle DX are in a different situation than Sophie DX, the 2 PC DX versions are not downgraded when compared to the original PS4 version, but the PC DX versions are missing a few graphics enhancements that the PS4 DX version got (stuff like stronger ambient occlusion, or additional vegetation). I made a more detailed post about this in the community hub:

On another note, english version of the page about the patch that KT is working on:

KT being consistent between releases challenge

It really sucks that every port seems to be a toss up between being ok and a dumpster fire

How do you even end up with a port like that?

I have to say, being able to play, browse and more or less do PC things on something with more than 4gb of ram is like experiencing the nirvana of a hot bath, opening a beer and hugging someone all at once. Youtube is no longer a taint on my soul and gmail actually functions without requiring all the processing power in the universe. Not to mention the 240hz screen which I look forward to testing out at some point.

I also had the slightly ominous realization that now that I no longer had to depend on a VM to play, I might be able to try Genshin Inpact. I wonder whether I should though. I hate gacha and grind in general so it seems like a counterintuitive choice.

Also, Windows 10 is nearly bearable now that it has been properly prettied up (Stardock is still in this business for a reason) and taught some user-respecting manners. One thing I realize I do like about it is the lack of window borders on things like MPC. Neat. Now if only it obeyed the same metrics for minimize/max/close buttons for UWP apps and the rest...

Somehow I really want to play Lobotomy Corporation now after looking into it again when discovering Library of Ruina.
Hopefully it's in the anime sale 🤞

Gonna have to take my PC to be repaired.

I've been complaining for a long time that windows stopped updating, something in the PC was causing the update to fail every time. I tried a ton of solutions and nothing worked.
I got tired of the constant prompts to update so yesterday I decided to do a clean install of windows 10.
While installing I started to get the blue screen of death. Eventually I managed to get through the installation but it continued to happen constantly, the PC barely had time to boot before getting the BSOD.
After trying every solution I could find the only remaining option was to update the bios, which I was avoiding to do.
The update went normally and completed successfully but after rebooting all I get now is a black screen.
I give up. Gonna let a professional see what's up but I'll probably have to replace the mobo or maybe it's actually the HDD.

I played A Short Hike and it's lovely!

I could use something longer though, so now I'm looking for a relaxing open world game that could last for 30-50 hours. Any suggestions? :coffee-blob:

RDR2, Horizon, Assassin's Creed Valhalla?

If there is one thing that Horizon Zero Dawn does really right, is it's world. It's really beautiful and relaxing in its own way.

indeed! HZD does plenty other stuff right tho :D one of my favourite games.
but im not sure how relaxing it is. the combat can get stressful if you play on harder difficulties.

I have heard from many people that RDR2 can be quite slow. but not at the beginning... in typical rockstar fashion, it starts scripted/linear, but when you get into the open, you can just do whatever (if i remember correctly).

Yeah, the world in HZD is what's interesting, but it may be too hectic in combat. RDR2 has been on my mind for a long time and seems like a good fit.

Death Stranding might be a good contender too, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, RDR2 is Rockstar through and through. The initial part is a linear tutorial where it punishes or annoys you if you don't do exactly what it wants you to do but once you setup camp you are free to do what you want. I have ~30 hours in it and i think i'm still at the first camp. The second it let me off the leash i just went out exploring. Some activities are gated by some story beats but they're mainly at the start. It's a great looking game, with a lot to explore and discover and the story is apparently good too. I guess i'll find out when i continue on with it.

However, RDR2 has animation-priority with very few cancels so the game feels very "heavy" to control but it is more "deliberate". You can't button mash, once you commit to an action, the action has to play out before you can do something else. Some people hate it but once you get used to it's measured and deliberate approach it becomes second nature. It's a cowboy game, so take you're time pardner.
It's also a Rockstar game so it has the usual Rockstar annoyances, mainly the story missions are linear as hell and easy to fail if you think for yourself, but i find them less aggravating in RDR2 than in the GTA games which wind me the fuck up. I like watching GTA, I don't like playing it myself much.

Death Stranding is similar to RDR2 in that both have vast open landscapes to explore and a sense of wilderness to them. Death Stranding is Kojima complete with 45 minute cutscenes (of awesome). Again it is a very measured and deliberate game and also has moments of tension between hours of solitude and exploration. Again, i haven't advanced far in Death Stranding but i'm definitely going back to it.

Speaking of great looking open world games, I know it isn't on steam yet but man, I've been playing Ghost of Tsushima and I'm just blown away by how beautiful it is. The art direction is nothing short of amazing. The game is fantastic all around, the more I play it the more I like it. I can't say this enough, don't miss it when it comes to PC.

ooooooh ... tell me more!
Nothing particularly thrilling in the expensive world of amps i'm afraid. To define why I'm excited, its because I have a few different types of guitar and play them all from meh to OK. However, I use a ridiculously complex method of guitar to audio interface, into a PC, through software amp modelling software, back out another audio interface and into speakers.

Great for me beacuse I'm eccelectic with sound and style and play everything and anything from punk to Pink Floyd and pop to shit-kicking country & western.

So anyways, I got fed up with the fiddly nature of it all and bought a Spark amp from Positive Grid. so noise can be made in a simpler fashion.
I also love Riff Station to feed MP3s to play along with stuff with its chord generation and sound filtering, so having access to Spotify through the new Amps ap is going to be awesome.

RDR2, Horizon, Assassin's Creed Valhalla?

The most relaxing open world title I played in recent memory was Valheim. It really scratched that Elder Scrolls wanderlust vibe.

Many think of it as a multiplayer game but I quite enjoyed it solo. Might be too sandbox for what your looking for but I found the gathering/building loop super Zen.

On a similar note, also understand that Dragon Quest Builders 2 is landing on Game Pass. That one is baller as hell too.
