Just finished Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Took me 28hrs.
OK game. Much more thoughts, need some time to write something up.
Looking forward to reading your full thoughts.

I enjoyed it for sure but I did have some annoyances. The performance on my PC at launch wasn't great, it had some annoying stuttering when loading areas. Gameplay wise I didn't think the Souls mechanics really added a whole lot to the game. Regardless I'm hoping they improve on some of the flaws in the sequel!

Regarding humble choice, according to my purchase history spreadsheet, I have only completed ONE game out of the six choices purchased since last year, whereas I am much more likely to play a game if it is bought alone.

Can't speak for others, but looks like humble choice is not for me.

This is how I am with bundles in general. I get more value when I buy the game I'm more interested it.

That FOMO tho...

I like to pick up games when they are really cheap if I am at least somewhat interested in them. It lets me have a robust library so I always have something to try out in all genres, kind of like my own Netflix for games. I have quite a few games I know I will never get around to playing and that's ok to me because the hidden gems are worth it. It's also cool when people are talking about an older game they finally got around to playing/enjoying that there is a good chance I have it in my library and can try it out too.

Yeah, many often I can't shake the feeling that the game will not go cheaper later (usually true) so maybe I should grab the choice now. Modern consumerism wires our mind like that and it is quite hard to overcome.

I would love to have a robust library, too. But there are games sitting in my library for years. Though these purchases are sunk cost in economics, I still think that maybe I could have avoid spending the money at that moment.
A game where gameover can happen when you go upslope. What a time to be alive.

Edit: CERO gives it a Z rating. Lmao.

yeah, I'm the same with bundles... I buy them less and less for that reason. Although sometimes buying them for giveaways is nice because I know someone will be happy about something, at least.
But when I look at this month's Choice (which is still a concept they should can, btw), they only think I'd really play is... Metro Exodus and I already have that (and even that I have played but not finished). Maybe Darksiders Genesis, maybe Relicta. Cook Serve Delicious 3 is probably as hectic as the first game was (way too hectic for me). Buying this would be about having those games, not playing them. And about giving Metro away. :)

Yeah despite how it looks with cute characters and all, Made in Abyss is a seinen anime/manga.

It'll be interesting how everything will be adapted to the game.

After entire day of troubleshooting why my Oculus app is detecting cable to be 2.0 (even the one that came with damn thing) I found that Quest 2 has issues with ASMedia controllers and that you actually need to restart port each time you plug and then unplug device. After restarting port even with extender it registers cable and port as 3.0 and 2.2Gbs speed.

It's based on seinen manga/anime.
I have watched it. Movie too.:face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye:

It is very disturbing.

Edit: my original post was a reference to the title, where the "curse of abyss" will put pressure on one's body if they go up in altitude inside the abyss. In the anime there is one scene where the protagonist couldn't stopped bleeding from her eyes, nose and ears due to the curse.

Really? I couldn't tell over this very cheerful ED song. :flare_lmao:

Kidding aside, the anime was hard to watch, personally. Perhaps because the main characters are just kids. Definitely an experience I rather not repeat a second time.
Same. I definitely have no desire to re-watch it. I watched the movie in the theatre back then, and I walked out the theatre fucking pissed by the villain.

But somehow I am very excited towards season two. This feels wrong. :face-without-mouth:

like on one had i am so glad to see this cause the idea of Made in Abyss ,aka huge abyss full of mystical creatures and curseses with Cave Raiders descending into it to find relics, but it deserves so much more buidget than Spike can ever give it

"In addition to being able to experience the TV animation version of the plot again, this work will include original stories supervised by the original author つくしあきひと, and the plot events will also be performed in full voice using the TV animation version of the voice actors lineup."
please be at least good 🤞

I put games bought solo in a separate category to give them focus and separate them from the usual "bundle fodder". It's a way of telling myself "You were stupid enough to spend money on this so now you'll play it wether you like it or not"...

Looking at the this year's bundles I have completed 10 games (Control, Elex, Trine 4, Valfaris, Minoria, Children of Morta, Frog Detective 1 &2, Path of Giants and Wildfire).
I also tried and retired 3 other games (Ageless, Zwei 1 and Indivisible).
On top of this I fully intend to start a couple more I got from bundles in the near future, including stuff from this month's choice.
I guess choice's have been good for me but there's a broad spectrum of stuff I play and I changed my purchasing habits a long time ago, so I rarely see repeats of stuff I already bought.

This is the first no-hesitation monthly in forever for me. Darksiders Genesis, Hellpoint, and Vane are all on my wishlist, I had CSD1+2 so 3 is a win, I played the first Metro but didn't love it enough to pick
Yeah, it's a super good one for me too.
I have none of the games and am interested in all 3 of the headliners. None of the others are games I'm super interested in, but some look neat and probably up my alley.

I usually try to at least play one or two Choice games immediately, to make it worth it, but I've been "slacking" a bit in the recent months. Partly because Genshin Impact is taking up some of my daily playtime, but also because I wasn't playing that much to begin with recently - spent most of my entertainment time on Kamen Rider, manga/anime and most of all reading recently.

I still think the bundles are worth it for me though even if I only want 2 or 3 games from it and don't necessarily get to them immediately. With the classic plan the individual games might not ever reach that price point in a regular sale and I also like to get a bunch of lesser known games to check out without any time pressure (i.e Game Pass sub). I also don't necessarily measure it about only completing (even if I do try to do that!), as long as get some hours of fun out of it,
Sometimes there are some real gems I'd never heard of that I end up really liking. And it's just nice knowing I have a lot of variety and options avaible to scratch various different itches depending on my mood.

My PS5 should arrive today if everything goes well so hopefully I will be playing Demons Souls today.

I still hope the game comes to PC sometime.

Yes, I always give away games that do not look too interesting to me. May choice is pretty good, personally speaking. I want to play Metro Exodus, Hellpoint, Darksiders and Relicta, but my time with bundles in the past really put me to think twice.

Thanks for sharing your methods with bundles. Those are really solid suggestions. I have just made the "bundle" collection and put a few games into it (eg. Outward, Vampyr and Void Bastards) so that I can push myself to play them.

I'm not on Humble Choice so i don't get their bundles but i do buy lots of Hidden Object Game bundles on Fanatical as they are cheap and i tend to binge them a couple of times a year. I also buy a few bundles on IndieGala now and then and i'll buy bundles on itch as they are usually dirt cheap for the amount of content and they support good causes. Fanatical or Humble bundles i get are mainly Game + DLC bundles when it works out dirt cheap again.

Sure i've "wasted" some money but i now have a library that has a good variety of games to suit whatever mood i am in at the time, ready to go. The thing that is slowing my purchases down is seeing a game that's recommended by people, checking my GOG/Steam or itch clients and finding i already have it from ages ago! So now i double-check before buying, i also use IsThereAnyDeal a lot more frequently.

Now, if we bring Audiobook and comic bundles bought from Fanatical, StoryBundle or Groupees then, yeah, i'm frightened to look into those numbers as i'll buy them if they look remotely interesting. Luckily because i've been buying for years i already have most of the content so i am skipping bundles more often.

I need to get a new Kindle or some other eBook or suitable matt-screen tablet to read all the cbr files i have. Any recommendations?
I may ask in the comic thread later on too.

What also helps is putting some as your Backlog games for the quarterly challenge :steam_pigblanket:

Oddly enough, this showed up this morning in a Kickstarter email from another project I backed and looks really cool.
Their Kickstarter is going well also at £138,372 pledged of £25,158 goal. I was thinking about jumping in but I had a heavy month, so dunno yet.
