1. Looks at Firefox shinny new interface.
2. Immediately search to see if the css to make Firefox look the "old way" has been updated :p

Also, at 26hs I thought I was getting near the end of Days Gone... but howlongtobeat says 50hs for Main + Extras.... guess I have a little game left.

Wow. I keep FF around as an alternative, so rarely update it, but damn... the new UI is something else all right. I can see why you'd want to go back. :p

Actually, by old I meant really old, not just the previous version :p . Firefox is my main browser probably since the first version, so when some elements change it can be annoying. They (still) allow you to customize the interface with css file, it just takes a while for people that understand a lot more than me to work out any bugs. Fortunately I don't "need" much, just some resizing and moving some things.

As for this latest update, you can actually turn it off, but who knows how long that will last.

Digoman Yeah, i've already had a whinge about the new FF Proton UI in another thread. I'm gradually getting used to it but i had to enable userChrome.css so i could make the stupid "floating tabs" look less stupid but i still have a stupid and distracting white stripe between the toolbar and the tab-bar that i'm going to have to look at removing because it's distracting. I also enabled Compact mode so the tabs weren't a mile tall, they're a bit too small now but i can cope with that.

I didn't disable Proton as it's just delaying when i'll have to get over it and just learn to cope so i ripped the plaster off so i could get the pain done with and move on, lol. The Firefox Reddit is quite good for css "fixes" to Proton decisions. Might be worth a look over there.

Its horrible, though most of it you can get rid of by going onto about:config and toggling browser.proton.enabled

Like i said on Era, they feel confident enough having a shown without those games being shown. I hope it's not spoiled before the show, surprises when it comes to E3 are few and far between and I feel this is going to be titles we don't know about yet
Yeah, maybe they have some new IPs to show. Finger-crossed.

I really hate the new firefox UI, but thanks to this and a few other modifications, I got it to look close enough to what I'm used to:

(The bottom tabs are not part of the github fix, they're an additional modification).

I don't use Firefox, but the new UI looked pretty good to me.

I should share what my Vivaldi setup looks like... Perhaps tomorrow when I'm at my pc.

I'm always very skeptical about UI changes but this one is actually pretty inoffensive. I've even found a few improvements in functionality. The one thing I really don't like much is the aesthetics of the right-click menu, but in the grand scheme of things that's not a big deal. I do use the dark theme and have for a while.

(Edit: I got 10 "server error"s or so from metacouncil here :p)

Firefox is looking pretty sweet with that new UI and dark theme!

The tabs could be a bit smaller and yeah, the right-click menu also feels a bit off but it's definitely something I caould get used to.

I'm sorry but - white theme, visible title bar and a menu bar!? :blobxorcism:

Regardless of anyone's thoughts on input methods, something like this doesn't inspire general confidence in a PC port IMHO.
I guess it's a good thing these are really old games so it's probably hard to mess up performance too much.

From all we know it's basically an upscaling pixel (or perhaps compute) shader. So it would be more surprising if anything modern doesn't support it.

Persona 5 on gamepass? Yes please!

Think this E3 is the one I've been the most hyped for in many years!
pretty sure this is gonna be like Yakuza at TGA 2020, where it gets announced for gamepass (and gets put onto the Xbox that way) and releases on Steam at the same time

this is a big W, hopefully they do reveal more persona ports to come later like they revealed yakuza 6

Pretty much this, it sure smells like shadowdrop or imminent release from announcement, good good, more JRPGs for my future handheld

yes... honestly, when the steampal comes, it'll just be the best experience, imagine playing games like days gone, death stranding and p5r on it while you sit on a good norwegian train sipping on some buljong travelling from Eidsvoll to Skien

I really couldn't get on with Persona 5 on the PS4. Completed the first dungeon in about 20hrs but I just don't enjoy the rigid structure for dungeon/daily life. Then realised I had another 3 or 4 dungeons to do I gave up on it. I am also far outside of the age group the game is aimed at nowadays.

On the other hand if it ends of up on Gamepass I will give it another shot. Always prefered the SMT series myself.

However Atlus slowly and surely pulling their head out of their asses is always a good sign.

I wonder if it will come to only Xbox game pass or PC too.

Anyways, I have waited so long on Royal on PC, not buying it on Steam will be dumbfounded on my part.

Today there will be a stream with trailers and reveals from the Guerilla Collective:

The stream will happen on the Twitch channel of the Guerilla Collective in roughly five and a half hours.
Apart from Guerilla Collective, INDIE Live Expo 2021 will also go live in 1h20mins.:longswordblob:

What makes you think that? Yakuza wasn't like that, for example.

I have done minor digging about the publisher called Sold Out, to try to figure out why Valve would refuse to provide a large batch of keys for the Choice.

First, some conspiracy theory:
  • they are listed as the publisher of MechWarrior 5 on Steam, with a release date in 2021 (May 27),
  • the same game is listed on EGS, self-published by Piranha Games, with a release date in 2019 (December 10):
I don't know if this game was truly self-published on EGS. If not, could it be that Valve holds a grudge against Sold Out for this reason?
Second, here is an observation of inconsistent behaviour of the Steam store.
This is what Steam returns if I search for them on the store (in a private window, without any Steam-related add-on):

This is what their curator page shows: it is missing MechWarrior 5 and Brewmaster, but maybe it is a bug on Steam. :doubtblob:

Maybe linked to that bug:
  • if you click on the publisher name on the store page of MechWarrior 5, you get redirected to the search results,
  • if you do the same on the store page of Disjunction, you get redirected to the curator page.

So... is that a bug? :face-with-open-mouth-and-cold-sweat: Or a feature? :evilblob:
Third, an observation about the Humble Store:
Humble Store sells Steam keys for Disjunction. 🙉 And no GOG key! :🙈
So, if the pub says the truth about Valve's denial of their request, it is only the quantity which is an issue. 🦉

Mechwarrior devs were acquiried which is why Sold Out publishes the steam version. Sold Out however published No Straight Roads, another EGS exclusive, themselves last year.

and no its not a bug, publishers need to manually add games to their publisher page. Thats why they dont appear.

So they could self-publish on EGS in 2019, but they cannot do it anymore in 2021 on Steam?

Right.

and no its not a bug, publishers need to manually add games to their publisher page. Thats why they dont appear.
This is an unintentional mistake on the publisher's part then.

I don't wanna sound pessimistic but for some reason I kind of fear we might get to see some kind of timed exclusive deal. sorry, EGS really has ruined my mindset whenever I hear about ports and shit scares me now.

no need to fear i believe, we'll get it on Steam and even if we don't get it on Steam, we'll get it on gamepass
P4G reached top 25 bestsellers on steam, steam is obviously bigger, i don't think sega will fuck this one up
