RELEASE RESOGUN ON PC, YOU COWARDS!!!Actually, given the openness of Sony to release their old stuff on PC, it certainly doesn't mean that Returnal won't come to PC. Just that it will be very, very late.
Or, skippable credits but there's a video epilogue that is actually part of the credits so you will also skip the epilogue if you skip credits. What's even worse are unskipable credits followed by an actual fucking game epilogue.
congrats, I'm still struggling at floor 6-7, not that good at fighting games smhIt's really not that big of an accomplishment, but I made VIP in Strive and dammit I'm feeling pumped right now. Hell yeah, leeeet's gooooo!
Maybe Housemarque forgot about that one, it's been a few years since that came out.RELEASE RESOGUN ON PC, YOU COWARDS!!!
A buyout was necessary for the studio's survival? How so?Not if it depends on the studio's survival (HQ) or the studio has basically been a first party studio (Playground).
Because if Sony didn't wanna fund their next game I think HM would be done. Now Sony have to fund them.A buyout was necessary for the studio's survival? How so?
But Sony funded their previous game which is considered a success. Why were they in imminent danger of closing down after a successful launch? Why would they not have been able to find a new contract from another publisher?Because if Sony didn't wanna fund their next game I think HM would be done. Now Sony have to fund them.
Now HM employees don't have to worry about if Sony is gonna continue keeping them alive.
I can't prove a negative (your last sentence). But Sony funded their previous game which is considered a success. Why were they in imminent danger of closing down after a successful launch? Why would they not have been able to find a new contract from another publisher?

Understandable. Do you have any information on the first part?I can't prove a negative (your last sentence).
MetaSteam July 2021 - Eat your hamburgers, RyunosukeSo what's the July subtitle gonna be?
And what if their next game bombs? Then Sony need to have that on their shoulders, if they weren't owned by Sony, they could have dumped HM and HM would be in trouble.Understandable. Do you have any information on the first part?
Sony Considers Returnal a 'Successful' New IP as PS5 Owners Cumulatively Spend Over 5.8m Hours Playing It - PlayStation LifeStyle

Or Housemarque would have found a different publisher and released a multiplatform game. I don't fret over acquisitions. I don't like them but I can't do anything to stop them so I devote my energy to things I can influence and change. But that doesn' mean that I have to accept any company's spin on it. Housemarque had a successful game launch, Sony had the money and made an offer, the studio owners accepted it, period. It's a business transaction that benefits Sony, the studio's owners and Playstation customers, no one else. And what if their next game bombs? Why would another company risk their finances on a company like HM who has not been able to keep themselves alive by themself? Im just asking questions, no hard feelings or anything.Or Housemarque would have found a different publisher and released a multiplatform game. I don't fret over acquisitions. Don't be so hard on yourself, floor 6/7 isn't bad at all. I got placed in floor 6, so I spent a bit of time in 6/7, and from what I saw, players down there tend to have a gameplan, but still have gaps in their skills (for example, throws were 100% free for me until floor 9/10, because most players couldn't recognize throw situations and react to them). If you're playing there, it means you're on the right track. Just a matter of building up a more rounded set of skills.congrats, I'm still struggling at floor 6-7, not that good at fighting games smh

I can't count the number of indie titles I've purchased based on Steam user reviews alone.
But the game is set in England!MetaSteam July 2021 - Eat your hamburgers, Ryunosuke
That's a very wow-like sort of aesthetic and I'd never imagined it would work so well in that universe. My mind is blown a little .Some games
They age well, there might be some drawbacks or things that show their age
But they still age well
But the game is set in England!
Seriously, I think folks vastly over estimate the impact of issues like review bombing and unhelpful reviews (e.g. ”this game rules/sucks”).
Of course, that goes without saying. Disagreement over something isn't personal, it's just discussion. As with every other development in the games industry my perspective is that of a customer. It is in my best interests as a customer to have strong independent studios produce multiplatform releases. I understand of course that it's not always possible, I simply don't see any reason to celebrate a formerly independent studio's games being exclusively tied to a single platform. Why would another company risk their finances on a company like HM who has not been able to keep themselves alive by themself? Im just asking questions, no hard feelings or anything.
Fish n chips then! But the game is set in England!

No, old people see all those games on sale but only buy games they have already played decades ago. I bought and am playing through Monkey Island 2.A lot of games on sale but no desire to buy anything. Is this how old people feel?

Good job! I keep mine because of Classic. It feels good to get rid of subscriptions though. Finally! I have canceled my Humble Choice membership.
I can imagine an old man, rocking back and forth, his gnarled fingers struggling to pry themselves loose of the armchairs. Then, as a twinkle of life and remembrance passes through his gaze, he looks to the sky and smiles.50 year old me looking forward to play Hyperdimension Neptunia
I think there is an inkling of truth in there.50 year old me looking forward to play Hyperdimension Neptunia
I was on Classic plan. Every month was the same. I own half of the games and i am not interested in the other half. Also the -20% off in the store became less useful as publishers often did not allow this.Good job! I keep mine because of Classic. It feels good to get rid of subscriptions though.
The background is simple flat polygons that make the buildings. That's a very wow-like sort of aesthetic and I'd never imagined it would work so well in that universe. My mind is blown a little .
You mean the 8th remake & rerelease of Hyperdimension Neptunia.50 year old me looking forward to play Hyperdimension Neptunia
You already know I stan for Dysmantle (my current GOTY), but I'm shocked to see Intergalactic Fishing on that list.My cart:
Removed Satisfactory since it's only 20% off and being in EA I might not play it right now. Any feedback? Something I can remove?
There are some indies who think they're entitled to success regardless of the quality of their game. I get that they worked hard at it, but I also don't see why people should part with their money for a bad product when there are plenty of good games available. Reviews have put me off games before and I think that's a good thing. Sometimes I've ignored the reviews and regretted it.
This is becoming more and more of an issue, NISA just joined the club of Square, Capcom, and others who cap the discount. Also the -20% off in the store became less useful as publishers often did not allow this.
yes, this ... 1000000%!!!Just a side note: Dyson Sphere Program >>>> Satisfactory
Yeah I'm curious about it, found it in a hidden gem thread on reddit. You already know I stan for Dysmantle (my current GOTY), but I'm shocked to see Intergalactic Fishing on that list.
As per my post upthread about the importance of Steam user reviews, I never would have taken a chance on it without the positive feedback from the reviews section. I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about it online at all.
Speaking of which, here's the one I wrote for it around this time last year.
"My 10+ hour experience thus far has found the game not only Zen but also sci/fi interesting and mechanically deep.
There's an interesting story so far. The writing is smart & quippy.
There's a ton of upgrades. Boat, rod, modules and more. There's also custom lure creation that syncs with fish that you research on each lake.
All told, the game is way deeper than it looks on the surface.
It confidently carries a relaxing, meditative vibe with the mechanical chops to back it up.
This is hardcore indie at its absolute best."
EDIT:
Just a side note: Dyson Sphere Program >>>> Satisfactory
Yes to all of this. I'm so tired of seeing indie devs making up excuses about why their games aren't making more money. The audacity and entitlement. Ugh. Make a game that reviews as overwhelmingly positive on Steam, and it's practically an insta-buy for me if I were already interested enough to look at reviews. There are some indies who think they're entitled to success regardless of the quality of their game.
