Hey folks.

Today has been one hell of a [bad] day for regional pricing here, besides Ys IX price getting """"""""""""""""fixed"""""""""""""""".

Bethesda games got a price cut everywhere but Argentina (RAGE 2 and Wolfe Twins got a price cut in Arg too, to be fair). Most games from Beth that got a price cut elsewhere got more expensive in Arg, but at least for Arkane games, you can still get them for their old prices on GMG, their sale last until July 11th I think. Bamco also raised the prices of pretty much their entire catalog too. Some indies / AA, like X4 and Sherlock Holmes DD also got their prices increased.

However, here's one good thing. Seemingly, people aren't being able to gift money through accounts like they did until yesterday (one would use a Steam account set in their country to gift wallet money to your main account which you VPN'd to Argentina). The "Update Store & Wallet Country" page got updated too. As lasho has mentioned many times, this will never stop publishers from increasing their prices, but at least VPN abusers are getting fucked, so that's good.

Anyway, I'm late but thanks as always for the thread lashy, and a great weekend for all of you Meta people.

Warner will probably sell off all their gaming studios if Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad flop.

Xbox might as well pick em up and get them working on all the ip they own. Let the Lego devs make a new Banjo lol.

Might be better off waiting for the Directors Cut to hit PC before playing it at this point. It looks like it will have a bunch of new gameplay stuff in it + other additions.

Don't know whether PC gamers get a generous 10$ upgrade like PS4 owners however.

MHS2 looks pretty good, for a Switch port. Runs great for me so far with 90fps lock. Shadows/AA/lod could be better I guess. Its rating improved, from mixed..!

I still havent figured out if I should leave external drives plugged in or not for long term use and health of the drives? I have a 1tb fast external SSD that I use always, that I will leave plugged in, but then I have two drives, one older 2tb mechanical one that I store photos on and I just got a 4tb mechanical drive that I also store photos, same photos, for that extra backup security. Im thinking that I will occasionally backup to the 2tb drive and only plug it in when doing that but leave the 4tb drive always plugged in.
 
Don't play MHS2 in Full screen mode. I got a pot of screen tearing from it and then I switched to borderless and that fixed the issues. The game looks really good and I'm able to play it max out in the hub area at 1440p and able to get over 110fps. I'm glad that there is a demo that people can try out. I might try to finish the demo and then pick up the game at some point.

So more consolodation with in the gaming industry. Just what we need. As each of the Big 3, well maybe 2 not sure if Nintendo does these sort of purchases, devour sections of gaming are they just going to become support studios in the future? Old man yells at sky, I know.

And it is reaching a point where I am not sure how many of the big publishers I would trust with them either. I mean this isn't the first time WB have tried to offload their gaming division. So it wasn't as if this was never going to happen again.

It could be worse I suppose. It could be Sony or Ninetendo buying them, would never get to see the games again.

On a more positive note, there should be 2 games escaping from the shackles of EGS next month that I am really looking forward to.

The Last Campfire and the Alto Collection. I haven't heard any rumours that these are permament exclusives so all going well should be out in August.

I'm sorry for you or any other legit Argentinian user. I can feel and share your pain as what it feels a big injustice. Those who play by the book rules get punished and meanwhile the opposite group get rewarded by their misdeeds.

At least on a more positive note not everything went to hell.

METRO EXODUS saw a price cut in probably most if not all regions included ARG.

hey ... remember how RE8 drops the framerate to single digits when any of the Lady D's daughters get close to you (and how there's stutter every single time you kill an enemy)?

well it turns out that's because of the DRM

That goes without saying, I have the game in my Steam library. I'm not one to shout about piracy on every rooftops. It's... distasteful :coffee-blob:

Oh yeah, discord. i keep forgetting that's a thing. I'll have to remember to fire it up at some point. Same with Steam Chat.
My deepest apologies to people but lately i've been playing the games i bought and watching series rather than talking about them.

Oh my god, The Ascent is almost 30 gb, windows store is gonna fuck up the install, I can feel it. Hope for testing the game out decreased. At the very least I hope that it doesn't have Denuvo DRM or something like that.

Jesus, the moment when I realize piracy works better to test a game out that something I payed for.

Every song in the game wil be replaced by "Toss a coin to your witcher" because it hasn't quite been run into the fucking ground yet.
There again, i haven't seen Netflix Witcher and i haven't heard more than 20 seconds of the song so it may be good, i dunno.
