Yeah, they are pretty fun. It's classic Japanese grid-based strategy games but with giant robots. In Japanese mecha genre, robots are usually classified into realistic robots and super robots, and you can find the later in this game (as the name suggested). One of the biggest appeals is that most of these units have skills with absurd animations like the one I posted. The game is especially fun if you have knowledge to those robots but they are not required to enjoy the game.Are those Super Robot Wars games any good? (or only for anime freaksfans)
Strategy-wise, you can install different weapons to the units and every weapon has cost and requirement to use. Some unique units have their own original weapons that can't be removed. I have only played one (Original Generations on PS2) and the game is actually a bit unbalanced with some overpowered units. I also heard the recent entries are pretty easy but their stories are still interesting to watch.

Knights & Magic had some really neat mechs indeed. Hoping for another season of the anime~

If you are into SRPG they are quite enjoyable, however if you don't like the shows featured nor the anime style in general, I would not recommend it as it relies a lot in this factors.Are those Super Robot Wars games any good? (or only for anime freaksfans

God, I used to love everything Clamp did back when was first getting into manga and anime. I really need to check what there recent works are like.
Have any of the SRW ever featured Five Star Stories? Another manga I used to love.
Sadly, I think Magic Knight is Clamp's only mecha work, and Five Star Stories was not involved in any SRW game.
So Nacon is switching out the Frogwares version of it. I guess it looks like they really won that dispute quite definitely

The game starts to be good around chapter 5 or so. I don't remember exactly.
Edit: you unlock the Real Estate Royale at chapter 5, and Cabaret Club Czar at chapter 7. Try to power through the first four chapters (roughly 1/4th of the game).

Whatever the next game just please don't be Uncharted 4 like from their PP slide.
Bloodborne would seriously be perfect before the end of the year. If they wait any longer then Elden Ring will dominate all time/money from FROM fans next year. Sony has to be smart to capitalize on this. They would sell so many Steam copies if they can get it out before Winter seal.
We definitely need more games with recursive backronyms in their name.

I didn't play FF X-2 so I don't know that story arc and if it might be necessary a 3rd installment on the the X saga to I guess complete the story?
The big question besides whether this project finally turns out to be real will be how would SE design the FFX-3 game? I don't think they would get back to turn-based mode giving how FFXV is very action-oriented but who knows what SE has in mind.
