ooooo Tetris on the original Game Boy was such a good time back in the day. Never played the C64 one! Or any C64 games, actually :jj_oops:

I love the C-64, but I think the Game Boy Tetris version is way better.
In parts because of the legendary music track (A).
Do not get me wrong, the sid in the c64 can make some wonderful music. Tetris just ain't of them imo.

Just pirate it, you tried to go legit and there's no reasonable alternative
the reasonable alternative is buying it :p

even if it is pricey it's not an OoP title so I can't say I personally agree

I'd only pirate anime that is either never been released in the UK or is OoP and goes for ludicrous money second hand (if it can even be found at all that is)

Benji is a good dude but he just reposts things and gives his opinion. He doesn't have any sort of insight to the industry.

Yeah, the music is part of the reason I gave the GB version the edge.

Some fond memories of these games listening to the soundtracks.

And with Zool getting a release that is more nostalgia for me.

Oh, I thought he had some insider cred.

Regardless, when will the next port be announced ? Why even put Uncharted 4 on the slides if it's not next in line after Days Gone ?
I don't get Sony.

Okay, "Controversial Opinion" incoming but wasn't Zool a bit... crap or at most bland?
I loved the look and presentation of it but i don't remember actually liking playing it. It's the same with a lot of the later 16-bit Euro platformers. Technically amazing but gameplay meh.

It's no James Pond that's for sure.

Always nice to some some form of update on the Sony - PC status. But any info officially would be nice, sometime soon.
I wonder if they hold back because they don't want to anger the exclusive fan boys?

But then again if they were worried about that they wouldn't be doing this all in the first place.

There's probably a lot of deeply hardcore spreadsheet and powerpoint action going on behind closed doors as they analyse budgets, roi and all that businessy type of thing. There's also going to be a bunch of legal issues like music and IP rights, studio compensation and other things i can't even begin to think are a thing that need to be addressed. The big C word also messed a lot of things up and turned timetabling and resourcing into a dumpster fire.

They probably want to wait until they have concrete plans before announcing anything so they don't risk u-turns and delays etc and they also have to schedule the PC releases around their console releases too which complicates things. It's not as cut-and-dry as some people think.

I've been playing Chernobylite for the purposes of a review and I like it a lot. I expected a survival game but it's basically XCOM x Bioshock x S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Its individual parts are not of the same quality as those games of course but the sum of them really works for me.

good list!

Last Ninja 1 and 2 have some of my favorite sid tunes of all time.
Thinking that it is all being done with three voices... amazing job by artists back then.

edit
Have you listened to moded c-64 with dual sid chips? awesome^2

They have PS4 games to port until they figure their PC strategy when deep into the PS5 era. Lots of potential there with 2015-2020 releases.

Please share your review or thoughts you might have once you are done with it. I have a friend interested in the game but not at that price and I personally have a mild interest if there's little Horror on it. I can't stand Horror for my mental sanity :(

Sure thing, I'll post it when it's done. So far I've encountered a few scripted jump scares but in my opinion STALKER was a much scarier game.

Zool was of the Euro school of collection platformers. The biggest issue was that you needed to collect a certain amount of collectibles to complete any given level. It could make it very frustrating trying to complete any given level.

If I remember correctly it was also one big advert for Chupa Chups lollies. It wasn't the most subtle of advertising campaigns.

Ever since I got my current GPU I haven't been able to play Divinity original sin 2. The game crashes my GPU and none of the fixes I've seen on the net fix it.

I had a really bizarre problem like that with D:OS2, right around launch time. Every time I would try to start the game it would crash.

Turns out it didn't like that my CPU (Ryzen 1500 at the time) was overclocked. I went into the BIOS and changed it back to normal clock settings and everything was fine. Not like it was overheating, it never got that far. And it's never happened with any other game. But I just played it like that and once I finished the game I overclocked it again.

I finally platinumed Ys 2! With a guide, of course. I even used a guide for the dungeons, because as much as I loved this game during my first playthrough, there's no way I'm beating those crazy labyrinths on my own again.

Fantastic game. The complex design of the dungeons can be very frustrating, especially if you have no idea what to do, but I love this game so much. Still my favorite Ys so far. Gonna start 7 one of these days and then play Celceta, 8, and 9.

I recently replaced my cpu, mobo and ram and the game still does that, it's definitely a gpu problem. Played the game for over a 100 hours on my old gpu and never had a problem. This really sucks, only game that does this.

Ok how about disc? "Yep, but it's going to cost you!"

Oh, all the anime has a summer sale going on? I might have to pick it up.

For what it's worth, I bought a lot of Collector's Edition blu rays from these guys last summer and they are pretty solid. Early birds discount, Nice sets of extras, shipping boxes are reinforced, and they communicated pretty well if there's a delay or other issues. Hopefully they'll distribute the English release of Evangelion too.

On the other hand, you don't want to know how much I paid for shipping. :mion_barf:

One of my favorites of all time, I played it in 4th and 5th grade. Had to beg to use my allowance on the monthly sub. I sometimes wonder if my guildmates knew I was an elementary school kid, though never got too far into raiding. Nothing was instanced, so it meant camping for hours and sometimes competing for spawns. When Sony Online Entertainment took it over, it went sideways for me.

Going back to it a few years ago, they changed way too much of the interface and tried to follow in more modern MMO footsteps only to its detriment. I hear it is still really active though.
