The unthinkable happened: Indiegala just released a bundle that is worth a look. :p
It includes several expensive, never before bundled games:

The included games:
-Element: Space
-Degrees of Seperation
-The Crow's Eye
-Daemon_9
-Squidlit
-MMM: Murder Most Misfortunate
-Tick Tock Isle
-NeonCode

I wanted the first two games, so for less than 4€, it was an easy purchase.

Theyve had a few decent ones over the past months.

I probably missed them between all of their hentai bundles. :p

Just kidding. But, usually their bundles are very uneven. They have one, at best two worthwhile games, and the rest are usually very, very poor (lots of asset flips).
In this one, besides the games I wanted, there's a few other very decent games (that I already own), so there really isn't much room to complain, especially for the asking price.

Speaking of bundles, Fanatical has a new event starting today.
Let's see how the bundles will be. Their last bundle fest was very underwhelming, but since then they released some very cool bundles.

This looks good, but with my time and the difficulty, I wonder if I should just pass...
Thanks for the heads-up. (y)
At that price, I'll probably give it a try.

In other news, Whispers of a Machine, the new game by developers Clifftop Games (Kathy Rain) and Faravid Interactive (The Samaritan Paradox), with voice acting directed by Wadjet Eye Games' Dave Gilbert, launches on April 17th.

The interesting setting, and the "pedigree" of the developer team, makes me very much looking forward to checking it out.

And you guys were "crying" about losing a handful of games to Epic. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:
April will be another terrible month for my wallet.

The most annoying thing about these exclusives is the responses that developers and publishers have when there's backlash due to them. It makes me not want to bother buying the game when it's finally released on Steam.
I just went and checked their Discord because I couldn't believe it was real, and it is, it's actually an answer from a Devolver employee.

It's hilarious, because that's the kind of thing you'd expect from some "anti-SJW" type of crowd: "WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT FEMALE REPRESENTATION IN GAMES WHEN THERE ARE WOMEN IN WORSE SITUATIONS IN [INSERT LOCATION]?"

I guess fine, I won't buy your games and I'll send some money over to The Innocence Project or something instead. No skin off my nose :drinking-blob:

Then... don't? :)

I mean, a company pulls this crap, acts in a terribly patronizing way to its customers, and people are still considering giving them money?
Support other games, other developers, other publishers. Or, take the money that the game would cost you, and give yourself a nice dinner, or a few drinks.

These companies act like this, because they know they can get away with it, and most people will continue to buy their games, despite the complaints.

yeah ... i think i'm done with Devolver tbh ...
Wow... so... is talking bs and shitting on your customers part of the deal with Epic? So much contempt for the people that bought your games.

I have a personal scale for these exclusives that goes from "Will make me buy on it EGS" (thankfully empty), goes through several "Will get it later at X% off" and ends on "F*ck off I'm not touching your game ever". And the responses and justifications of the publishers after the deal are what move the game on it.

This one almost broke that scale... eeesh. It's not that hard. You can't make the whole thing look good, but minimize the damage by admitting the money was worth the hassle to your customers, make it clear if/when is releasing somewhere else and move on.

Don't do ... this.

Regarding the new Slitherine pick and mix bundle on Fanatical, can anyone help me select a few games?

I had the following on my wishlist, so I'm adding them:
-Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy
-Last Days of Old Earth

Of the following 5 games, I need to pick 3:
-Sovereignty: Crown of Kings
-Thirty Years' War
-Revolution Under Siege Gold
-Pike and Shot : Campaigns
-Civil War II

I'm thinking about excluding Civil War II, because it has further DLC that is not included.
Any suggestions?

What happens if u use a vpn to us to redeem a us ver. Of the game; would it still be censored?
I got a non German version of Wolfenstein 2. Activated it with a VPN, couldn't play it for 3 months without a VPN but when I could play it it was the uncensored version.

that works just fine. it could have a runtime restriction so you would have to use offline mode or vpn to play it for the first few months, after a few months the restriction is gone.
Ok cool, but all this shouldn't be a problem anymore, because swastikas can be implemented in games since last year. We really thought that this is a debate of the past :(

Ahhh Bethesda... I really want to support Rage 2 and Wolfenstein... but your regional prices suck over here.

Do we know anything about the length of Youngblood? It looks good and the $30 pricetag is nice but it makes me worry about the the quality and quantity of content, specially after the Wolf 2 Season pass.

I don't even have an appropiate gif for this.
Are they actively trying to burn their bridges???

As someone who has bought and played through so many of their published titles, reading those i have zero interest in supprting them any further.
Like, exclusive deals are one thing and i still would've bought their other, non-exclusive games, but this?
Good lord.

If that's the contempt you have for your own audience i will gladly take my money elsewhere.

It's hilarious because their "What about REAL WORLD problems?" comes across as contemptuous to their own games.

If you don't think your games are important or worth buying, why should I?

I wonder if this is the moment where Mike Smith has to eventually close up shop for Devolver like he did with Gamecock before it, and to a much less extent GOD games back in the day. He always seems to start out with his heart and business in the right place and then they go off the deep end on something so seemingly easy to avoid but they stupidly go "all in" on.

So we're cancelling Devolver? That's like the worst way to talk about the Epic exclusivity. Even if you just said "Look, the team is small and we need money upfront to keep the games coming" it'd be way better than saying that load of bs.

Truth isn't edgy, and this is the publisher, not the dev. Devolver isn't hurting for cash, and they're all about in your face weirdness/edgy. It's the founder's MO with all his game endeavors

Satisfactory came out and said this and the furor basically died down immediately because it didn't add fuel to the fire.

Just basically said "We needed/wanted money, it was a good chunk, and that's it." They didn't try to downplay it with "We never expected this," or "Corporations aren't your friends" (duh) or whatever.

How stupid does your PR have to be to just keep giving ammo to your detractors?

I don't even remember adding it!
I frequently go through the upcoming releases list, and add pretty much anything that appears remotely decent, to be notified when the game is released.
When it finally releases, I check if it's actually worth it, or not.

I would like to say that's the worse I have on my wishlist, but I doubt it is. :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-tightly-closed-eyes:

Found lashman's alt.
:grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I have over 5600 games/DLCs on my wishlist, so I certainly rival with lashman on that front. ;)

Speaking of Willowbrooke Post, I received a discount code that gives a further 30% off, but since I pre-ordered the game elsewhere, if anyone wants it let me know, and I'll send it to you through Steam.
