Hot coffee?
Yeah, i suspect it's the original script that Hot Coffee reinstated.
The GTA Trilogy shipped with the uncompiled, unencrypted script file to all the missions. It's the original Rockstar file not the GSG file so it's the original Rockstar comments too. lol.

Mutli billion dollar cheap-ass company and the PC Launcher is STILL down. I'd laugh if it wasn't for the fact that people can't even play the games they bought issues or not. Wonder if they'll blame DDOS?
WTF is wrong with developers writing such unprofessional comments?
Always be professional in your codebase,
It's a tale as old as time.
There's been some golden comments in source code going back to the dawn of computing.
The early 80s and 90s were gems for disgruntled coders to write scathing comments about their colleagues, the management or life in general but there's also some gold there too.

I think the Cutting Room Floor site has some but there was a site that had lots of coder comments. The ones in the 90s on Amiga & ST aimed at the crackers and hackers in Pirate crews were especially funny/angry.

Tell me your company is a terrible place for women to work at, without telling me your company is a terrible place for women to work at
Omg, it's not only me. I don't know why it keeps happening because those two games have completely different names.
I believe it's due to both names consisting of a single word, both are verbs that refer to a spoken act, and they are both verbs used as an adjective.

nah, not hot coffee, thats referencing Sweet (CJs brother), apparently thanking CJ for something and then leaving to have sex. Must be a cutscene after a mission.
but yeah theres about a million ways to comment this in a more professional way.

I wonder what Epic’s share of games like Let’s Build a Zoo would’ve been if they’d spent money building a platform and signing their own games to publish from day 1 rather than antagonising communities by signing third party exclusives like Metro Exodus and Shenmue III?

Patience and a slower but more humble start would’ve worked better for them vs going for headline-grabbing exclusives that only led to negative word of mouth.

I really think they had a golden opportunity (i.e. money) to build something really interesting with the EGS but instead decided to just fling shit around and needlessly toxify communities.

People didn’t want console style exclusives on PC. They wanted new features and quality of life improvements. I don’t think they could’ve read the room any worse than they did.

It'll still be the same old tired ubisoft formula
Well with him there is still hope. Ubisoft wouldn't probably pay him sh*t ton of money to come back if new AC was going well. And if he is excited about it that means that he got to work on things he really wants so that means that there is some hope.

I still expect to see an era thread from you about how the game let you down

Nice sales thread, shame about the issues they had with Steam too but are those really lost sales, like there's a non negligible amount of people that won't try to buy this or other games ever again because Steam was having issues at launch? Someone link Tim to that so he buys a million EGS copies to change the %.

Have you played Death's Gambit? It's definitely as good as Blasphemous imo.
I almost asked about it here recently, actually. I tried it a while back but I found it kinda rough and amateurish and bounced off of it pretty hard. I know there was a massive update recently, though. Has it been significantly improved?

The update turned the game into a real metroidvania, fine tuned the controls and added several new areas and weapons. I like it a lot, and recent user reviews seem to be very positive as well. Definitely worth a second chance!

Geez, DLSS continues to be dark sorcery.
Tried out Bright Memory Infinite. Settled on Medium Ray Tracing and Quality DLSS on 1440p. Mostly 50-60 fps though it does drop significantly when a lot more goes on, probably need to drop something (I guess either Ray Tracing or DLSS)
But anyway, I wanted to compare DLSS Quality with native, so I switched that in an area where I had locked 60 fps.
Without DLSS those 60 turned into 4.
Four. :sweaty-blob:
